I usually tend to try and fix using chemicals, unless it's particularly discoloured and slimy etc, especially if the water has been left for a long time without keeping up the checks. It's possible to get several months out of the same water if you keep a close eye on it and ensure the chemistry is right.
Could you advise or do a vid about hot tub covers, in England it rains most of the time and the rain water just sits in the middle of the inflatable lay z spa and if you dont keep on top of it starts to weight down then go through and need more cleaning, we keep ours empty as just use it every now and then, so the yoga ball in the middle trick won’t work and the cost of decent gazebos is really expensive, the cheap ones look like they won’t stand up to the windy weather we get not sure what to get right now
Yeah, rain collecting on the lid is a real pain and something I wish Lay Z Spa would change about their design to reduce the issue. It's always difficult to drain it off without it ending up in the hot tub. The only tips I have is that using a square/rectangular bucket rather than a round one if much better for removing the water. I'll have a think about some other solutions for a future video.
You can use dishwashing soap to clean your filters too. Let soak for 15 -20 minutes, swish the filter around every so often and rise thoroughly.
Another brilliant video mate thanks for ur help and tips 👍
First time setting up hot tub, alkaline slightly high, how do l reduce it?
Really helpful info Adam. Thanks. Do you change the water after a set time or only if there is an issue you can't solve with the chemicals?

@@SailingAquila Thanks. I check the chemistry daily. We started using our tub on May 3rd. I plan to change the water at the end of June.
@@KenHJones Yeah, that sounds fine as long as you stay on top of it as you plan.

I know your not suppose to use air jets with lid but I put my bubbles on for a few seconds that inflates the lid and drains water of...easy.
That's a great tip@@benk373
Any ideas on using bromine instead of chlorine?
It's not something I've tried, but I'll look into its for a future video.
It's a long video, if you don't want to watch the entire thing, the summary is: buy every Clearwater product you can get.
Just buy two inflatable covers. Sorted
