Another song that also causes chills and goosebumps is 'Like an angel passing through my room'. (also with Frida❤️leading vocals). Great react... and so nice to see you again, Brandon. Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
Like An Angel Passing Through My Room is my favourite of all ABBA's songs. Like Carpenters' Eve, or the Ronstadt/Riddle version of Monk's Round Midnight, melancholy and haunting almost to the point of being funereal...
Frida sings so wonderfully, with tenderness and strength! Here proves that Abba not only makes pop songs but also masters musicals. Benny and Björn have made the musical Chess, which has been played in several countries. And absolutely fantastic "Kristina from Duvemåla" with lots of wonderful songs! ❤️⭐⭐👍🙏👑
This feels to me more of a Frida/Benny song, I love it, from their mature phase. Agnetha and Frida were two of the best singers ever to grace the pop stage, I'm still not sure their skills are fully appreciated, but this is one of the songs that shows them off to their best. You can definitely hear Benny toying with the musicals genre here, thinking ahead perhaps...
Frida was unbeatable in the 80s. Her solo work after ABBA is so experimental and exciting, and her vocal capacity and versality enormous. I wish she had continued to record all through the decade. She was amazing in the 70s, but rose above all in the 80s.
Finally, a reactor who plays the song before offering comments thus not ruining the experience. For that alone I will subscribe. What a treat. Meanwhile we all get to hear the music of ABBA and the magnificent voice of Frida and the beautiful harmony of Agnetha. And what about that arrangement? Bravo to you and ABBA,
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching, commenting and your subscription. I really appreciate your support and appreciation of my reaction style. I know a lot of Abba songs, but boy was this one a beauty! Thanks again and enjoy the rest of your day 🙂
I am always a bit intimidated when someone suggests this song for reaction cause it's far and away from the familiar catchy Abba sound for the masses, meaning it's not an instant catcher especially for young reactors. This is a 'peculiar' grower.Personally when i first heard it in my very early teens i couldn't get this. But on my growing older time proved to me what a specialty is this recording and i'm so satisfied that our friend here appreciated it.
@@christianoazzuro6711 I wish there would be more variety in ABBA reactions. Almost every day there is a new reaction to DQ or TWTIA. It's sad that so many reactors only react to the songs from ABBA Gold and then they stop doing ABBA reactions.
@@Lisa-MHmm,well i know what you mean but for me i feel it's a safe way for 'starters" to set off with the bangers and gradually dive into the deep cuts.I am not so brave i guess, he!he!Those Swedes are such a soft spot for me i tend to be kinda ''careful" or even kinda 'overprotective' on the way i feel their legacy should get "exposed" to newcomers.Perhaps that's just all in my weird silly troubled mind, lol!Btw Chase Vickers (that young hip hoper ) has done lots of Abba deep cuts lately.and seems quite interesting and positive.
@@christianoazzuro6711 MY weird silly troubled mind keeps me away from Chase Vickerss as long as he doesn't create a balance between Agnetha and Frida leads. That might sound narrow-minded but I can't change it. 🤷♀ Already 14 Agnetha leads but only 6 Frida leads in 36 reactions. He still hasn't done the big songs like KMKY, IHAD, WAISAD or ISHFIY but King Kong Song... So I rather prefer 'Rock my Bean' who go through their catalogue in chronological order.
The best thing to come out of their "Voyage" reunion was how the guy's heaping praise on the girls. Nobody interprets their work like Frida and Agnetha. And it goes the other way too. Their like a cosmic force when they work together.
Definitely better than my Swedish !!! We are fortunate that English has been adopted so widely thanks to our glorious past explorations. (some not so glorious perhaps). Perhaps if the US had stuck with us, that communication would have been easier too? 🤭Actually it might not, if you guys had ended up with an English North country accent, no-one would understand you !!!
Dude, I'm a dude like you but I can tell you I fell in love with your own speaking voice. You should have a career on radio or broadcasting. UA-cam recommended for me this song reaction, so I'm coming across your channel for the first time today. Keep up and on with your effort. I let the music speak is very beautiful, it's poetry sung by Frida to her best. Rich in imagery, metaphor and attempt to set a pace ahead of the ordinary pop music.
Amazing sound blizzard. Rather "cold", "winter" song. Everything is so icy and cristall. Everything is blu, pink, purple and violet. Some Night Before Christmas ( by classic russian wrighter Nicolay Gogol I mean, I wish you watched the movie of 60s). This is the song I heard when I was about 15. Four years after it was released. And since then I think this is the most complicated, the most whimsical and one of the most beautiful songs of ABBA. There are two more pieces that come to mind to be interesting musically, but they are not by ABBA but by Bijorn and Benny from their "Chess" musical. They are "One night in Bangkok" and the wals."Where I Wanna Be". 💓👏👏👏
That was pretty good! I never really got into Abba, I'd just hear them on the radio or see them on TV shows and while they weren't bad, the style of their pop songs didn't grab me. I liked "I Let The Music Speak" though and I'll give it a listen again or even grab the album it's off of sometime? 👍
Glad you enjoyed John. Yes, this song kind of stands apart from their biggest hits. Of course I'm going to love their darker side haha....thanks for tuning in!
Another first listen for me with this song! I enjoyed it as much as the other hits that I’m familiar with. I just didn’t follow ABBA that much, heard mainly what was on the radio.
Glad you liked! Yea, pretty big discography, I've only made a tiny dent in Abba! We still have 1 more proggy band, a lovely returning female voice, a surprise new artist and of course I announce my second "monthly spot" winner on Friday 😀
Welcome to the rabbit hole! There are well over a hundred great songs in store for you not including their latest album. I would be very interested to hear what song(s) of ABBA you do NOT like😊
It probably contradicts most of the opinions, but I will respectfully express my feelings. And I am going to repeat myself in something that I said "I let the music speak" (1981) It also leaves me with mixed feelings And first of all I want to make it clear that Frida's vocal performance as the main voice is outstanding, and the choirs are very well elaborated. But the song itself, although it's very good, doesn't end up closing me like others It's like there are parts that I like and others that I don't. (and what I think is 7pts) Perhaps two comparisons come to mind: One with the 'mini musical' included in "The Album" which for me is incredible and fascinating in its three songs: Thank you for the music / I wonder / I'm a marionette I like "I let the music speak" , but doesn't fascinate me And the other with "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen which also seems to me superior and more cohesive at this point Björn and Benny were with the advanced idea of making a musical and not with their partners Frida and Agnetha And this is a preview of what would come in his future creations outside of ABBA.(with Tim Race, later) perhaps the error is mine to resemble "I let the music speak" to both ABBA's mini musical and Queen's smash hit I am also talking about a very good song, where I think the vocals surpass the music But in the high catalog of ABBA it does not enter my Top25, maybe could be enter (or not) in my Top50 If you like to explore another underrated ABBA song my suggestion is to "Move on" (1977) in the masterpiece of versatility "ABBA The Album" as always, I enjoy your reactions your kindness and musical opening I leave you a big hugh from Buenos Aires, Argentina South America
Frida's voice is perfect for these operatic songs. I think Agnetha has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard but Frida isn't far behind. Most bands don't have one singer who can sing like this and ABBA had two, it's almost unfair lol.
All the best things about Abba, wrapped into one beautiful song about the thing we love most here- MUSIC!! Thanks for watching 🥰
Frida at her best, nobody can sing this song better than her. This is an absolute masterpiece.
In my humble opinion the best female singing voice ever recorded. Frida's voice is as magical as she is.
❤
I have to agree! ❤
I agree. Frida is perfection
Frida is a Goddesss
My absolute favourite Frida vocals. Her voice is stunning! ❤❤❤
Thanks for an excellent reaction.
Abba at their best
It's nice that they went out on a high note!
You can’t go wrong with ABBA. They’ve been with me since I was 4❤

Yes! But the lyrics which Frida does a masterful job of interpreting are written by Bjorn.
This song showcases their tremendous talent of Abba.

Lovely song.
Don’t forget my favourite ABBA Song, ‘The Day Before You Came’.
🎶❤️🎶
What a FUN song! ! Love the back drop. ABBA can do no wrong. : )
Definitely! Yes, I found this backdrop very aesthetically pleasing.. Glad I brought more Abba to the channel today!
I just live for that backdrop, 💙🎵🎶🎶

ABBA does opera.

F1 starts next week so, pole position x me, Fernando is my fave from AꓭBA but I love many others.
First, woohoo! 🥇 Fernando is def my #1 Abba song, probably tied with Voulez Vous...
A less well known song but as always just class. I wonder if the writing was more difficult for them in English?
Class is a great noun to describe this band. I definitely found the lyrics very impressive. Unsure of their fluency level of English at that time..

Wonderful song analysis! I clearly loved it as well. Have to read up a bit on Benny/Bjorn's Musical work..thanks 😊

Thanks Andy! Always up for more Abba- a guaranteed great experience. Good point you made at the end there 😊
Thank you, great review! Awesome.
The whole album 'The Visitors' is my favourite! very theatrical
Good one. It's gret that you get to hear so much good music, but I'd like (just once) for you to hear something and NOT really like it.
It probably contradicts most of the opinions,
but I will respectfully express my feelings.
And I am going to repeat myself in something that I said
"I let the music speak" (1981)
It also leaves me with mixed feelings
And first of all I want to make it clear that Frida's vocal performance as the main voice is outstanding,
and the choirs are very well elaborated.
But the song itself, although it's very good,
doesn't end up closing me like others
It's like there are parts that I like and others that I don't.
(and what I think is 7pts)
Perhaps two comparisons come to mind:
One with the 'mini musical' included in "The Album"
which for me is incredible and fascinating in its three songs: Thank you for the music / I wonder / I'm a marionette
I like "I let the music speak" , but doesn't fascinate me
And the other with "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
which also seems to me superior and more cohesive
at this point Björn and Benny were with the advanced idea of making a musical
and not with their partners Frida and Agnetha
And this is a preview of what would come in his future creations outside of ABBA.(with Tim Race, later)
perhaps the error is mine to resemble
"I let the music speak"
to both ABBA's mini musical and Queen's smash hit
I am also talking about a very good song, where I think the vocals surpass the music
But in the high catalog of ABBA it does not enter my Top25, maybe could be enter (or not) in my Top50
If you like to explore another underrated ABBA song
my suggestion is to "Move on" (1977)
in the masterpiece of versatility "ABBA The Album"
as always, I enjoy your reactions
your kindness and musical opening
I leave you a big hugh from
Buenos Aires, Argentina
South America
Pretto!

Anni-Frid really better, than Agneta.
Imo Voulez Vous is the Best Song on Earth.
