I really liked that Abomination, Gristlegut, that gives you a quest to feeds some ghouls "It feedin' time now. Gotta git da grub ta all da gools! Speshal grub dis time! Bowels an' brainz bowl... num, num, num. Jus drop da bowl nexta da gool. Gud way ta make frenz. Yoo got goolfrenz? Ha, ha, hah!" so heart warming
Tirion Fordring was pretty much the only NPC that didn't just help you with combat, but would actually heal you if your health was low. For me he is #1
One I'd nominate is Meerah. Not only did she write a song for her pet alpacas, but everytime she shows up she's so wholesome. Even if you click her to the point where she gets angry she'll snap and say that she wishes they (the Voldunai) hadn't saved you but then immedeately appologises for losing her temper.
ive been playing wow since wotlk. NPCs get angry when u click them too much?? 😭 how did i not know this?? im imagining its like animal crossing where they yell at you if u talk to them multiple times in a row? now i gotta do this next time i play haha. i guess i never paid close attention to their dialogues
@ag6concepts If you're trying it out I'd recommend going for Wrathion (either within Ny'alotha or on the Dragon Isles). He has some of my favourite annoyed lines. But there are a bunch of fun ones across the game.

Legend has it that Lunk and Mylune ran off together, they had lots of ogre sized dryad babies, who they taught how to ride spiders, sit on bad dwarves, heal fluffy animals and have adventures. Then the universe died from niceness overload.
I haven't played since Cata but I distinctly remember a gnome lady npc in Northrend. I was playing a forsaken rogue like the edgy teenager I was but then I ran into her in neutral territory. I don't remember her name but her chipper "how can I help ya?" melted my undead heart. Bless that voice actress. That's the moment I decided to play alliance instead. My main became a helpful, pink haired gnome priest lady. I did check in with the lads on Ogrimmar beforehand, stating in public chat: "guys, I'm thinking about defecting, anyone feel like changing my mind?" and the only response I got was "defecating?" I love roleplay servers.

Nicest NPC is actually Fiona the Worgen Trader. This woman has nothing but a carriage and some tiny wares, yet allows two battling paladin-apprentices on her carriage to ride with her, takes along more people on the towers for free, trough the pestlands which are really dangerous, and even goes as far as going into the undeads base even though she's not a fighter for her friends sake. She is my top tier NPC.
the murloc thing could be an allusion to the way whooping cranes or pandas are raised by caretakers in costumes as to not make the animals bond with humans.
Meg Morris is the name of a character in the Australian TV show "Prisoner Cell Block H" where she is the deputy governor of the prison. Shes actually quite nice for a screw as well lol
Cho is a great guy and maybe my #1. But my #2 is the hozen from pandaland that is flies you around between zones for Garrosh. If you remember, everyone thinks he is a dumb monkey, but he is listening to all the things going down as the sha takes over garrosh. As he is flying you around he tells you about all the behind the scene madness. He always stood out to me as one of the low key coolest and helpful NPCs.
Damn. Finding out Scrollsage’s VA passed in this video is pretty unfortunate. I remember seeing that Blizzcon clip where she said the line with the biggest smile on her face to an absolute roaring applause. Rest in Peace.

The Orgrimmar and Stormwind orphanage matrons, if you think about it, are basically the same person (so to speak). The names even rhyme, despite one invoking horrifying eerie war cries and the other invoking cute little songbirds.

@@DIEGhostfish I dislike the Dragonflight dryads too but Mylune is also a specific wintery form of dryad, so her model is distinct from the old as balls dryads anyway So really I just want an uprezzed version of the Northrend dryads cuz those guys were great

Windlord Antelarion in Evergrove in Blade's Edge Mountains always intrigued me. He is a centaur druid (?) who caught little Natasha, a human girl, when she fell from a bird in the sky. He seems to be her guardian now.
I clicked on the video because Mylune was in the thumbnail. She deserved first. :) Pity they replaced her voice actress. Her voice in Cataclysm was so adorable.
I thought Magmorous was a night elf in the murlock suit not a human... because I specifically remember there being a night elf in a quests when we were making their suit XD I don't know if I'm right or wrong.
Crendor if you get around to Pointless top ten Rabbits and Hares, there is a Wisptail Hare that is swimming underwater in the lake in front of Anguish Fortress in Shadowmoon Valley(East End).
4:47 I legitimately put "A turtle made it to the water!" and "The cycle of life can be cruel" on a soundboard and played it when I entered discord for a pug raid. Turtle for boss killed, cycle for wipe. No one liked it. I didn't like it. The voicelines haunt my dreams still.
Those tiny creatures at the end... while druids get that form as a travel form... I don't think a super young druid would have that skill set yet. Soooo... I think he's talking/teaching actual baby creatures about the Emerald Dream. And they all are just so obedient just sitting there listening to him like good lil raptor things. They probably have no idea what he's even saying but onward he goes. Kinda like someone talking to their cat or dog as if it fully understands them. (( I could be wrong though... I'll have to visit that area or look information up to be sure. ))
There is also a version of the quest that you control a crab and kill baby turtles to prevent them to reach the water. In that quest Nola says it is necessary for balance. Nola seems to be more evil than kind. First she asks you to kill crabs and albatross then she asks you to kill baby turtles.
Scrollsage got a nice farewell during the aniversary event as she died ingame too 😢
