Thanks for the Video, I got the proper pet now and understand the rotation way more, I'm having a blast now because everything makes way more sense after this video. I have been playing this game for awhile just never tried Hunter til recnetly. As a fan of Pokemon growing up, I'm enjoying catching rare pets. The Skeleton Raptor was a pain becasue I had to get the Tome for it but it was a great learning experience. My main Pet though is that Purple Direhorn horn from the instance with Trok the Bloodthirsy as the second pet because he looks badass. Anyways, congratz on 1st I subbed and will keeu up with the videos. :)

great content, thanks for this vid early in the season. When Im trying to use the Primal Rage thing at the start, there is some text in red in the tooltip stating that the ability is not available in arena. Am I missing something? I do make sure I have Kindred Spirits talent. Will the red text disappear at the point the gate opens or something?
Yes, 2 things: first you need to make sure you have kindred beasts pvp talent, but it also might be that there are two different versions of the spell in the spellbook I think, so make sure you’re using the one from the pet tab in your spell book, with kindred beasts it should say it has a 3 minute cooldown
I've always loved the dire basilisk talent but completely missed that they buffed it hugely. I can't wait to try it again! When I play arena my pet choice is usually King Krush, the rare and unique skinned dino from scholazar basin. He has lust and the mortal wounds debuff. If I'm paired with a class that has that debuff I choose one of my spirit beasts like Arcturus or Karoma for fort of the bear and passive auto spirit mends. Sure spirit mend doesn't heal an op amount anymore but it can be the difference between living or dying while trying to reposition and get heals.
Just started a hunter and my buddy and I leveled together, fell in love with it, now I’m getting into pvp and it’s just so much fun! This guide was so helpful! Hope to one day be competing with you for those ranks, keep up the good work man

You say you don't really run Diamond Ice. How do you deal with Destro lock dispelling your freeze traps? Especially when there are so much destro locks in the current meta right now. Do you hunter's mark and just hope it doesn't get dispelled?
@@AXLee27 yep! That’s usually what i do lol. But running diamond ice there definitely wouldn’t be a bad choice it’s up to you. Might be the play! Also it can be good vs hpals so you can trap while they have sac up and against spriests so they cant md
@@Sphericsnow ah good to know. Been fighting a lot of SP/destro/healer comps lately. Just feels better to run Diamond Ice. It’s also nice my ret pally doesn’t accidentally break the CC with his cleave dmg. Only biggest downside is that we can’t overlap my freezing trap with another CC.
@@AXLee27 Yeah exactly, those are the same pros/cons I'm having as well lol so I can't decide. Sucks having them be immune so u cant rly chain cc right but also sucks with my teammates breaking

Curious what your movement keys are, based on your keybinds I can't tell. What do you use to strafe and move forward?
i use Z to strafe left, X to strafe right, and then 1 button on my mouse for auto run and hold down both left and right click to move forward. I copied it from reckful. Takes a bit to get used to but it's rly op

Just a doubt. Isn't it better to take hunter's prey and dire pack instead of stomp? I find it brakes ccs too much, and dire pack is big boost to damage. On another note, to track barbed shot stacks on my pet I look at "thrill of the hunt" stacks on my character, since the two go together.

yes thats a good idea, ele shaman is your hardest matchup. Expect to go 2-4 or 1-5 in a lobby with an ele shaman. Locks are also just horribly broken right now in general so it feels hard. But yeah ill post some
Opened vault this morning, between Tier Legs or Glad. Bow? What should I choose? How important is our Tier set?
That's tough but those are awesome choices, I think you want tier legs for sure though. Getting just the 2 piece will increase your total dmg by about 3% and our 4 piece is huge
bow is a ton of conquest but it feels super bad to not get tier set so you wanna just get that asap i think
What pets are worth getting for PvP? Beginner to wow in general wanting to do pvp eventually.

Thanks for the guide! How do you use Shadow Meld / Feign for example against a Chaos Bolt? While the enemy is casting / finished casting / the projectile is about to land on you?
It depends on the spell but you basically want to do it at the exact same second that a spell is about to actually deal the damage
Like watch when spells actually deal the dmg and figure it out so you shadowmeld just the slightest bit before that

Just returned to the game. Trying high lvl hunter PvP this time. Very nice guide, keep up the good work. Can you advice how to setup the keybinds? I have some hard time controlling all the skills that you have to activate. Im making some macros with castsequence to make it easier on single button for some cooldowns.

I would use modifiers so that u can have 2 spells on the same button
my one problem with BM is the ramp up to gear... for weeks some players will give up on it, likely playing MM for faster conquest, then change over to BM after the gear hits to make wild call viable... any thoughts?
Thoughts on going haste/mastery after 30% vers? Also what ya think is good for 2nd embellished item?
Right now I have the shadowflame rouse damage thing but it usually only does like 1.5% of my dmg. So not sure if it's bis but i copied bicmex and all them. I think just get what you think is best for now and as the season goes on we can all craft different things if we find something better. And sorry I'm useless and don't know what % vers starts to fall off so I can't answer that without bs'ing

Love the guide dude! Wouldn't it make sense to find a basilisk pet that uses the exact same colour as the basilisk pvp pet and run that? So then when you pop it no one can see the difference between the two haha, secret tech?
I like your style Salvatore that sounds like the ultimate technique. Only problem is the dire beast basilisk is so big and slow its easy to tell apart but it could definitely cause some confusion. I’ll have to look into this….

Tbh i think everyone should hold off until next week on spending their spark or their trophies of strife/bloody tokens, ill update the guide in comments. Just rock the honor gear and old boots for n ow and itll hardly make a difference, but someone just showed me an insanely broken different little gear build so i'm gonnna explain that as soon as i do it lol

Well theres alot but generally as bm you want to hit whicever target has the worst armor so like always better to hit a cloth wearer than a plate wearer etc. generally easiest class to kill is a mage then rogue then like dh ww monk warlock shadow priest
Hi dude, what items do you recommend crafting - more precisely the embellishment. I'm looking at Shadowflame or Toxified armor patch thingy, not sure which one but I'm leaning towards the Shadowflame one. (I already made the infurious boots)

I have the venom steeped stompers on one of my hunters and the boots of reprieve on the other one. I think they’re both pretty good and I don’t really see a clear leader. Might be safer to go boots of reprieve
And tru basilisk is gas

I go haste myself! I think it's very good. Mastery is also good tho
never played bm since i think pandaria, so if u use a pet tank, dont u need masters call?
You really only need masters call against boomkin to free your healer from root beam and maybe against classes with alot of roots like shamans and mages just to keep your pet on the enemy. But its really up to you and your preference

Either default primary stat one or venom steeped stompers they're both good

Question for you man plus it might help the algorythm: why do i need a hippo when my Fossilised Raptors have mortal strike and give me 8% move speed increase and Look sic? Its showing their special ability as "savage rend" reducing the effectivness of heals.
listen j everett do you want some little squeaky raptor or do u want a big strong hippo protecting you? Think about that for a few minutes and then come back to me. The hippopotamus has one of the strongest bite forces of any animal in the world. It's a feared killer
nah but the hippo also has the exact same mortal strike ability it just has a different name "gruesome bite," and instead of the 8% move speed, it gives you 5% max hp so they both have their benefits.

I use Z for left strafe and X for right strafe, a button on my mouse to autorun, and also holding down both right and left click on my mouse causes me to move forward. I know it sounds really complicated but you need like 1-2 days and you're used to it. I got it from Reckful :')

running Animal Companion makes your second pet not able to use the family abilities, which would include MS. so should I be running tank pet as my primary anyway for tenacity or running my primary as a pet that has MS and tank pet would be summoned as secondary?
my current main is a Devilsaur which gives 15% leech and has a MS effect, also gives Primal Rage which is bonkers so it feels like Ferocity should be primary and tank pet secondary. Idk though I'm a shitter lmao
Good question, don't run devilsaur as your main pet ever. You only run it if you have the pvp talent kindred beasts and you want to do the bloodlust trick that I explained in this video. Always run either a tank pet with ms or a cunning pet with ms as your main pet. Secondary pet doesn't really matter just do the same thing tank pet with ms or cunning with ms. So your options are raptors, rodents, riverbeasts, basiliks, direhorns, and a few others.

im not 100% about it, but afaik Turtle was 100% immunity for a few seconds on older times or? i remember with tutrle on u cant die or get any dmg, now its worth then the Survival of the fittest with the extra skill for 40% total xD
you still get dmg from dots and spells that started before you casted turtle.

@@MS-kl4hf yeah thats probably fine. I see alot of people just starting with 2 barbed shots to get the stacks going faster and that can be rly good. I dont see why he would use death chakrams before bestial wrath and blood shed tho because once you use chakrams you have 10 seconds to deal dmg with the bonus and you will already be wasting 2 globals of that 10 seconds casting bestial wrath and bloodshed
I’m 1100 mmr and in solo shuffle I get trained every game by feral/ enhance / warlock / warrior combos. And there’s very little cc from team mates at this mmr and I go 0-6. :( I need a video on how to live.

Last season I got to rank 165, 2744 rating. RIght now I am stuck at rank 238, 1824 rating. It feels like BM hunter does 0 damage now compared to a lot of other classes in the meta. Also feeling squishy. I just want my shadowflame enchant from 2100 but that would require rank 29 right now and I don't think that's remotely attainable for me. Solo shuffle is so disgustingly deflated right now I feel like I should just quit for 2 months and farm 2100 late season when maybe it's inflated back to something remotely normal?

I haven't tried it because im too poor but I think thermal scanner is rly good and I havent seen anyone using it. I heard shadowflame wreathe is only super broken on duel wielding melee specs? Otherwise it's usually better to have sophic devotion or scope if you're hunter. But I'm sure we'll see as time goes on
