Never heard this and I totally agree - raw unformed versions like this are absolute gold. It gives you an insight into the creative process and lets you hear material that would otherwise never surface. Sometimes you also hear snatches of of tunes that you wish picked up and run with in their own right
Listen to Under Pressure (A-Capella) -Only vocals and listen to Freddie’s voice at the 1:55 mark. I always thought it was the guitar not an actual vocal. Amazing!
I think it turned into Under Pressure when Bowie came into the studio. They were jammin' and perhaps this was one of the tunes that they were working with. That is when this took on the changes because there are several places in Under Pressure that are definitely Bowie and those are where this demo and the finished product differ the most. The bones are here to be sure I can even sing parts of Under Pressure to this demo quite easily.
