OMG This Christine is so beautiful. And I love her giggles and his grin, this mix of playfulness reminds us of the fact that they were childhood friends. So cute and innocent.
I agree it honestly made me like their relationship more. I feel like usually their relationship feels so forced especially when you compare the amount of duets between Christine and phantom. I also love the stark difference between her with him and her with phantom really makes it feel night and day lmao

I love the way Lucy acts Christine. So much joy and life. A lot of Christines are the acting equivalent of plain tofu. It's fun to see a Christine and Raoul be something other than serious and somber. And she has a lovely voice!
I have to disagree, Sierra is a great Christine and is hardly tofu. This isn't the actual play so they can get a little silly and have fun with it. Lucy does a great job as well but I'm not crazy about her vocals, she sounds nice but doesn't have the power and range that other Christine's bring to the table.

I also have to disagree. To me Sierra Boggess is the best Christine because her voice is the best I’ve ever heard for a Christine actress. Every song she sings is she is putting power and emotion into it. So in my opinion, Sierra is the best Christine

@@santheshark-6139 so sorry yes, we're into originals but we're not comparing them, actually i love her voice and i enjoyed this video loved the 2021 casts.. we're just saying that the past Christines are like those she say "Series and somber" because maybe it's the standard way of how the Characters must be portrayed. Sierra is good and so is Lucy i love them both 💖💖
Christine and Raoul had NO BUSINESS being that cute. i didn’t have very high expectations for this Raoul but he just became one of my favorites! he signs incredibly, his acting was on point and… he’s so cute
I can tell you that he is as good as Hadley, having seen him live. Incredible voice.

Alexanderbb I don’t like Hadley’s Raoul at all. His voice & his acting just comes out as a bit too much “aggressive” to me 🤣 I prefer my Raoul to be more gentle, and even a bit naive like a soft boy hopelessly in love he is

Lucy is an absolute breath of fresh air! Her voice is not piercing or annoying in any way. And I love the way she brings Christine to life. I’m so happy theater is back!!!!

After watching this video I can now say with great confidence that this entire casting in 2021 is TOTAL PERFECTION
Not sure why some feel the need to be so overly dramatic and negative. Lucy and Rhys in particular are just sublime. (And this is coming from someone who has also watched the show literally hundreds of times 😉)

I don't think is about being negative. People will like what they like whether others agree or not and you can't fault people for not liking the same things you do. I myself do not care for Lucy's vocals, but her acting is good.

I never fully grasped the “hype” around Phantom, until I went to see it at HMT last month. Every one of the cast members was phenomenal in my opinion. Lucy and especially Killian were something else though. And the orchestra… damn. I cried.
All the voices are really clear ! I love how distincly we can hear "Christine plays the Page boy and Carlotta plays the Countess" here 6:45 😌🤩
And that's Amazing how Saori started as a ballet girl in the japanese version before Carlotta.
I'm so proud of Killian Donnelly! I saw him when he played Raoul, and always wanted to see him play the Phantom. He's bloody brilliant. I'm so happy to see him in this role finally, excellent stuff!
I watched the phantom of of the opera a couple of days ago and Kilian was extraordinary. I was overeely by his powerful, soulful persofmance. It was nice to see Charlie in the kinky boots again 👠

all I ask of you was so beautiful it actually made me cry (and I've watched phantom many, MANY times...)! Im loving this cast so much! Bravo to Lucy St Louis especially - such a beautiful, talented Christine. Couldn't be happier with her!

Working at phantom is a joy and being a massive fan of the show is also a joy. But that TMOTN ending just now was actually really nice. There are so many moments when I think Erik (phantom) wants to kiss Christine. He's always teasing at it but it never brave enough to actually do it. It's an interesting play on his emotions

I absolutely love the song choices. Prima Donna is one of my favorite songs in the show, the tune is truly magical. Also, I'm utterly in love with each, and every one of these actors. Another flawless performance of the Pham! Your 35th year might be your best yet, Phantom.

The Phantom of the Opera is one of my favourite musicals from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh, I saw it at Her Majesty's Theatre in London on Saturday 31st March 2012, it was brilliant and amazing and will be seeing it again in 2022

In the musical, she is 20 and he, especially nowadays seems to be solidly in his 30s. By the way, women often married at 20 in 1880 and often to men who were at least a decade older. :')

@@sofie.h Absolutely....but why do you suppose?? Maybe he was nervous and was just going "I can't believe how nervous I am" because he seems to take a deep breath. I have to say, after I've seen Ramin Karimloo sing these songs so many times, I just....this performance is lacking to me. It's very subjective, but Killian's voice is just sort of average, and the Phantom should be stellar. I don't want to knock a performer; he was outside, probably hasn't performed in front of an audience in a long time, he may even be sick. But he's just no Ramin.
I was there yesterday and none of us picked up on that! Haha.

Highly disagree with all Killian hate, he’s the best singer in the whole lineup if you watch it live. Saw it three days ago and his voice absolutely shook the crowd, never off key and amazing. Lucy and Rhys are also excellent performers, best Christine in all of phantom’s history
