Ghost had a decent campaign, good multiplayer, incredible miltiplayer modes like Infested which had actual balancing, a cool take on an alternate game mode with the Alien Infestation... we never knew how good we had it until it was over
I actually always loved this game. When it first came out people were dogging it, i decided i would make my own decision so I bought the game. And I personally loved it. I had all the snipers golded, this was honestly the only call of duty I grinded.

Got ts for my 10th birthday back in 2014. The nostalgia i get from the music and just the overall atmosphere of the game is indescribable. The campaign for this game is also top 3 in the series imo.

I still hold to this day that the Ghosts multiplayer would be considered great if it had better maps and killstreaks. I've always felt like the connection with the lobbys rarely lagged or had a bad connection, the guns were good, the hitreg was great and the TTK was exactly where it should've been. It also always felt unique to me. You could lean, interact with the environment on some maps, and it had a unique perk system based off of points and not a strict 3 slot system. If the perks weren't underwhelming and the maps were better designed (and some of them not be so massive), I think it would be remembered more fondly. I also liked the built in clan system the game had, that let you track your clan's rank and earn rewards for ranking up on the clan-based leaderboard. I think the game did a lot of good new stuff that they abandoned because the game just wasn't well received. The campaign was bad and Extinction was underwhelming, but MP had good potential. I heard the DLCs had some good maps, but I never found out because I didn't want to buy the Season Pass after how bad the base game maps were.
I go in and out of Call of Duty depending on the year, whether i like the game or not. I never played BO2, Ghosts was the first one i got as a kid. This game gave me some of best memories ill ever have again on any video game and made me the player i am today. THANK YOU FOR THIS NOSTALGIA.
I had a lot of fun playing this and BO6 really doesn’t look “11 years improved” Nowadays COD feels more like work than having fun which is the exception for me the last 5-6 years. I used to use ghosts and BO2 as my morning routine before school, it would get me going. I wouldn’t dare play modern Cod games before anything important I’ll either be pissed and or exhausted after two matches.

This was absolutely one of the best Call of Duty’s ever made. People who hated it weren’t good at it. That’s why they hated it. This game started so many things that we consider a must in video games now. This game literally started peaking behind walls, sliding, customizing of your personal character, mounting, and much more. The game mechanics were awesome. Also I love the campaign story, how Latin America could become a super power and fight us, entirely possible and this game created a new enemy instead of using real enemies in real life and recycling them from new game to new game. Honestly Top 5 Call Of Duty for me.

Ghosts was good but also a clear sign that the golden age ended. Maps were pretty bad and killstreaks were terrible. Guns were pretty fun and the hit detection was the best since MW2 2009, but it wasn’t enough to hook me on the game the way MW2-BO2 did, or CoD 4 and WaW for that matter. And no, I wasn’t bad at Ghosts. In fact, Ghosts was my best CoD game, stat-wise. I finally broke into the 2 KD club and felt confident in pretty much every match. But it lacked the X factor that the golden age CoDs had. However, I ultimately still remember Ghosts somewhat fondly as it was the last CoD I played for any significant amount of time.

Ghosts was always good multiplayer. Excluding COD4 it was the best one and I will defend that. The progression, the weapons, the perk selections - it's just the best one.
Ghost was one of the greatest Competitive games in the entire franchise, wasn’t a huge fan of Pubs because most of the maps that weren’t in comp were dog water, but I absolutely loved the comp game mode
Exctintion was a super underrated mode, I feel like it was better then most zombies I played but then again this is coming from someone who always enjoyed the multiplayer over zombies and only BO1 and 2 are the only zombies I enjoyed
Cod Ghosts gets way too much hate! This game had the best perk system, powerful guns and good hit detection! Some of the maps were pretty bad but this game is a masterpiece compared to AW and IW. Along with all the cods 2019 and after! MW3 is playable at least.

In my memories I can’t remember myself enjoying this game. I played it quite much but only mixed emotions I can recall in my mind. From this COD on I gave up this game series. They’re not obviously bad, but not my thing anymore. Customization in this game killed confrontation between different factions. And now we aiming enemies by an orange/red nickname above their heads. What a shame. In MW3 they simply merged with background due its SERIOUS color scheme, so here besides of that all player skins are basically same as your teammates’ ones. Btw, Xbox version game looks noticeable better, than for PS3.

those people camping with the M27 are the absolute bane of my existence. this game came out when i was 13 so i was young and cracked out being used to BO2 and just wanted to run around as fast as i could, but it seriously felt like i couldn’t take 4 steps in this game without getting killed by a guy camping in a corner with a thermal M27
Underrated entry in the call of duty lime up. This game was actually good, story was also pretty good and extinction was fun. The COD competitive scene was very active these times. OpTic had thete best team her but Complexity were the kimgs of Ghosts.
I actually got this for my birthday when it came out, i got the whole package including a season pass. If this game wouldve come out after advanced warfare or wathever jetpack cod came out the year after this one, it would've been received so much better! I loved it tho, especially the extinction mode

My first ever Xbox live account on the 360 account got banned because I was using a mod menu I was infected with by a dude named Smokey. COD Ghost had its problems that is agreed upon, its main reason for why it was not as loved was that it wasn't BO2. Maps were good except a few and thats because they were just too big for that amount of players were in the lobby. Most players didn't like the fact that it didn't have very many 3 lane maps. If it was 3 lanes, it had quite a bit of verticality and objects to block certain Lines of sight. Camping was a problem, but that was manly thanks to the color scheme of most maps, and the introduction of the lean mechanic. Ghost tried alot of new things, many customization options, cool DLC, game modes like the bot squads vs bot squads and cranked. Was it the best COD? No. Was it certainly the worst? Absolutely not. Was BO2 the best COD? No. Yet was the hype overrated for Ghost which gave a bad review? Absolutely. We can also factor in, that Ghost and BF4 came out at relatively the same time and after playing BF4 with all of its gimmicks, add-ons, and so forth; Ghost did not stand a chance. Advanced Warfare was good but people trashed it because they wanted to have BO2 part 3. I liked AW, I just didn't like the gambling for cosmetics and weapons mechanic. AW had a way better campaign than BO2...hell even Ghost had a better campaign than BO2. Its all preference, and youre never gonna please everyone. All I know, is if you think BO1 was a good multiplayer, youve been touched with the tism.

But they should also have one against using the M27-IAR but I’ll take the anti camper one. Most people just leave the game if someone starts camping. Glad to see they’re still playing. Ghosts was a fun mix up, but I would’ve liked MW3’s spec ops with survival alongside the one with those aliens. Would’ve helped give some variety.

After playing I noticed the same thing. This game seems to lean more towards a tactical slower paced play-style which is actually pretty cool

Honey Badger was the best starting weapon in any COD. Having a silenced weapon from the jump was a godsend.

Because it was more tactical and slow paced. There were no "mobility" builds because blindly running around with an SMG or some shit was not rewarded and didn't work out

Maps and IED's pretty much. Everything else was great: create a class, prestiging, hit detection and latency, gunplay, etc.
i remember my mom pre ordered ghosts for me i loved it as a kid, to this day i never understood the hate.
The camping was horrendous, the ied spam, ttk, and thats not even half of it.

Ghost had a decent campaign, good multiplayer, incredible miltiplayer modes like Infested which had actual balancing, a cool take on an alternate game mode with the Alien Infestation... we never knew how good we had it until it was over

I actually always loved this game. When it first came out people were dogging it, i decided i would make my own decision so I bought the game. And I personally loved it. I had all the snipers golded, this was honestly the only call of duty I grinded.

Got ts for my 10th birthday back in 2014. The nostalgia i get from the music and just the overall atmosphere of the game is indescribable. The campaign for this game is also top 3 in the series imo.

I still hold to this day that the Ghosts multiplayer would be considered great if it had better maps and killstreaks. I've always felt like the connection with the lobbys rarely lagged or had a bad connection, the guns were good, the hitreg was great and the TTK was exactly where it should've been. It also always felt unique to me. You could lean, interact with the environment on some maps, and it had a unique perk system based off of points and not a strict 3 slot system. If the perks weren't underwhelming and the maps were better designed (and some of them not be so massive), I think it would be remembered more fondly. I also liked the built in clan system the game had, that let you track your clan's rank and earn rewards for ranking up on the clan-based leaderboard. I think the game did a lot of good new stuff that they abandoned because the game just wasn't well received. The campaign was bad and Extinction was underwhelming, but MP had good potential. I heard the DLCs had some good maps, but I never found out because I didn't want to buy the Season Pass after how bad the base game maps were.
The DLC does have better maps and some returning/remade MW maps too like Favela and Dome (Unearthed in Ghosts)
I go in and out of Call of Duty depending on the year, whether i like the game or not. I never played BO2, Ghosts was the first one i got as a kid. This game gave me some of best memories ill ever have again on any video game and made me the player i am today. THANK YOU FOR THIS NOSTALGIA.

I had a lot of fun playing this and BO6 really doesn’t look “11 years improved” Nowadays COD feels more like work than having fun which is the exception for me the last 5-6 years. I used to use ghosts and BO2 as my morning routine before school, it would get me going. I wouldn’t dare play modern Cod games before anything important I’ll either be pissed and or exhausted after two matches.

This was absolutely one of the best Call of Duty’s ever made. People who hated it weren’t good at it. That’s why they hated it. This game started so many things that we consider a must in video games now. This game literally started peaking behind walls, sliding, customizing of your personal character, mounting, and much more. The game mechanics were awesome. Also I love the campaign story, how Latin America could become a super power and fight us, entirely possible and this game created a new enemy instead of using real enemies in real life and recycling them from new game to new game. Honestly Top 5 Call Of Duty for me.
Ghosts is better than pretty much everything that came after it, but the haters have some valid points. Black Ops 2 was the last CoD in the golden age. Ghosts was good but also a clear sign that the golden age ended. Maps were pretty bad and killstreaks were terrible. Guns were pretty fun and the hit detection was the best since MW2 2009, but it wasn’t enough to hook me on the game the way MW2-BO2 did, or CoD 4 and WaW for that matter. And no, I wasn’t bad at Ghosts. In fact, Ghosts was my best CoD game, stat-wise. I finally broke into the 2 KD club and felt confident in pretty much every match. But it lacked the X factor that the golden age CoDs had. However, I ultimately still remember Ghosts somewhat fondly as it was the last CoD I played for any significant amount of time.

Cod ghosts was one of my favs, it literally was the Pinnacle for the transition between old and new cods, this cod was available on ps3 with a ps4 upgrade i remember

Ghosts was always good multiplayer. Excluding COD4 it was the best one and I will defend that. The progression, the weapons, the perk selections - it's just the best one.
Ghost was one of the greatest Competitive games in the entire franchise, wasn’t a huge fan of Pubs because most of the maps that weren’t in comp were dog water, but I absolutely loved the comp game mode
Exctintion was a super underrated mode, I feel like it was better then most zombies I played but then again this is coming from someone who always enjoyed the multiplayer over zombies and only BO1 and 2 are the only zombies I enjoyed
Cod Ghosts gets way too much hate! This game had the best perk system, powerful guns and good hit detection! Some of the maps were pretty bad but this game is a masterpiece compared to AW and IW. Along with all the cods 2019 and after! MW3 is playable at least.
Ghosts was a good competitive game I really enjoyed the game mode resurgence on there like search & destroy with capture the flag mixed into it that was fun
In my memories I can’t remember myself enjoying this game. I played it quite much but only mixed emotions I can recall in my mind. From this COD on I gave up this game series. They’re not obviously bad, but not my thing anymore. Customization in this game killed confrontation between different factions. And now we aiming enemies by an orange/red nickname above their heads. What a shame. In MW3 they simply merged with background due its SERIOUS color scheme, so here besides of that all player skins are basically same as your teammates’ ones.
Btw, Xbox version game looks noticeable better, than for PS3.

those people camping with the M27 are the absolute bane of my existence. this game came out when i was 13 so i was young and cracked out being used to BO2 and just wanted to run around as fast as i could, but it seriously felt like i couldn’t take 4 steps in this game without getting killed by a guy camping in a corner with a thermal M27
Underrated entry in the call of duty lime up. This game was actually good, story was also pretty good and extinction was fun. The COD competitive scene was very active these times. OpTic had thete best team her but Complexity were the kimgs of Ghosts.

If this game wouldve come out after advanced warfare or wathever jetpack cod came out the year after this one, it would've been received so much better! I loved it tho, especially the extinction mode
I think it’s one of the best, great guns, and the bots can play in ANY game mode, so that’s a massive improvement from the other games where you can just play tdm with them

COD Ghost had its problems that is agreed upon, its main reason for why it was not as loved was that it wasn't BO2. Maps were good except a few and thats because they were just too big for that amount of players were in the lobby. Most players didn't like the fact that it didn't have very many 3 lane maps. If it was 3 lanes, it had quite a bit of verticality and objects to block certain Lines of sight. Camping was a problem, but that was manly thanks to the color scheme of most maps, and the introduction of the lean mechanic. Ghost tried alot of new things, many customization options, cool DLC, game modes like the bot squads vs bot squads and cranked. Was it the best COD? No. Was it certainly the worst? Absolutely not. Was BO2 the best COD? No. Yet was the hype overrated for Ghost which gave a bad review? Absolutely.
We can also factor in, that Ghost and BF4 came out at relatively the same time and after playing BF4 with all of its gimmicks, add-ons, and so forth; Ghost did not stand a chance. Advanced Warfare was good but people trashed it because they wanted to have BO2 part 3. I liked AW, I just didn't like the gambling for cosmetics and weapons mechanic. AW had a way better campaign than BO2...hell even Ghost had a better campaign than BO2.
Its all preference, and youre never gonna please everyone. All I know, is if you think BO1 was a good multiplayer, youve been touched with the tism.

Best of luck. I still play on PS3 sometimes. Thankfully most people seem to have a gentleman’s agreement to not camp. But they should also have one against using the M27-IAR but I’ll take the anti camper one. Most people just leave the game if someone starts camping. Glad to see they’re still playing. Ghosts was a fun mix up, but I would’ve liked MW3’s spec ops with survival alongside the one with those aliens. Would’ve helped give some variety.
