Hi Fern, Great Hoya repot video! Very enjoyable to watch. Your Caudata Silver is stunningly beautiful! Many thanks for this video and for sharing your beauties with us. Happy growing! 👌🪴🥰.
Your videos are my favorite to watch for a lil lunchtime break, especially a Hoya repot!! Repot ✅, next is to see some gorgeous blooms on these cuties! Love the caudata silver, I had no idea there was a silver form, my Hoya Caudata is about to bloom for me for the first time and I’ve had it less than a year, cannot wait!
You're the best. I'm a fellow nurse and have been watching your channel since probably 2019. Thank you for your content - it's interesting, educational and actually soothing to watch lol. Would love to see a video of you doing your pest prevention treatments. I'm curious to see how you do it with such a large collection & what you use. 💚
I’m thrilled that you also made a potting up video for your Hoya! You mentioned the 2 Hoyas that you are gonna have to propagate and I just thought I’d share that I’ve successfully propped a couple Hoyas directly into soil :) I always used moss or perlite but then I heard Hoyas can prop in soil so I went with it. They both worked well. Unfortunately I am sooo good at rotting my Hoyas so I got tired of making moss mountains once they root up in moss. Also I love how much I feel apart of your community and your planty chores. I keep finding myself answering your questions as if we are just chilling and chatting about plants! In case you are wondering, I agreed with all your pot choices! You always make great plant/pot combos!
Hoyas and mealies are best friends I swear... Almost always two or three of my hoyas have mealies, they pass them around even when I isolate them! I've used beneficials a few times but they just don't get these little pests. This time, when I find mealies on a hoya, I'm washing out all the substrate, blasting the roots and leaves, and repotting (I use a very similar mix to you). So far this is working and I'd love to keep using beneficials but they are so expensive like you said. I know it's not the best option but this time I am using diatomaceous earth by dusting it on top of the soil in hopes of getting rid of them for good/defending my hoya. I'm only using the DE on them, not my others. There are different ways to apply it but this will be easiest for me after doing the plant wash and repot. I really hope this banishes the mealies for good. I love your videos!!!
I did my repots yesterday had 5 of them plus adding Tree Fern around the aroids of my Anthurium. It truly is amazing how much time one person can put into their plants! I do not have near the amount of you and probably invest 5 hours a week easily and it’s so enjoyable!
Love watching your videos, they help calm me down when I'm, shall we say 'down'. I don't have any of these plants you have in this video, but now I might try to get one or two. Plus as an old Englishman living in the US, you make me think of home when I was younger. Thank you.
I love Hoyas. They are so pretty and low maintenance. One of those plants that can go without water for longer than other plants. However, they do need a lot of light, especially for flowering. Your collection is amazing. They will be happier now that they have been repotted. Will be great to see what they look like in a years time. 💚👍
You will definitely be able to recognize your Hoya by leaf :-) after a year of owning and research, when I watch your videos and others, I even recognize the ones I don't own yet.
Beneficials are so expensive! It’s the main reason I haven’t used them. I just spray as I find them. So far it’s just been aphids and mites and no mealy bugs
Hi Fern. Talk about “happy hoya heaven”, I’m so glad I decided to watch. With a bit of luck and your care you’ll have a tonne of hoya blooms in no time. As always I’ve picked up some more trucks and tips to apply to my Hoyas.
Perfect timing! I just rescued a 50+ year old Hoya carnosa with splash and she’s in need of some fresh soil and some TLC. She’s got some super long vines but is pretty bald 😢 I don’t even know where to start.
Hey Fern, you should consider farming the beneficials, I vegan so I use pine pollen and nutrtional yeast with some water. They are very easy to keep a colony going, you will never run out again
Yes!! I’ve been so pumped for this Hoya repot. 🎉 work was sooo loonngg this is literally turning my day around. 💚 grabbing plants and making tea and diving in now!
Omg I just found it and the late Bill Paxton is in Mean Dreams! I loved him in Texas Rising..❤ Slight crush but he died unexpectedly.. Anyway thanx for the company while repotting. I did some too!😘
Hi Fern, I just love your video's, so relaxing to watch while doing my own planty stuff or while I'm crocheting. I have a Davidcummingii and its such a constant bloomer 🌺. The blooms smell like caramel. Got it as a small cutting but now its pretty big. It definately wants t be trailing down. I have it hanging in a Northwest window. Greatings from a hoyalover in the Netherlands 💚🌱🌺
Another great video of repotting my favourite plants Hoya. Really enjoyed the last one the cactus and succulents. I could watch these two videos on repeat. Soleilrium Studies pots are amazing i really love the cloud one. You got to be fast in getting them though which I haven’t had any luck.
I just received my HousePlant Essentials order this morning! I needed some more clear moss poles and moss, since my verrucosum is gaining height unexpectedly fast 😂 They've been my favourite shop for over a year now and I'm loving the newly added products too! ❤ How are you liking the clear self watering pots so far??
I love all your Hoyas. Thanks for posting this Hoya video, I don't have any but I want some. I suppose I should care for the plants I have now first before I get anymore. Lol ❤😊
I just want to tell you I bought the KMC Smart Timers and love them! Thank you so much for sharing that on your other video. It works perfectly since I treat my plants like their children allowing them to nap a few hours during the day without lights. 😂
It took me just over 3 hours to "unmoss" and repot 8 hoya from Crystal Star Nursery. LOL Thanks to you, I went from 4 plants purchased from Etsy to adding 12 more from CSN. 😮 They have such a variety at really great prices for actual plants and not just cuttings. But the moss...ugh. Cheers from Quebec! ❤
I literally never leave comments but im trying to get in the habit of doing so! Your hoya collection is crazy big now, i can't wait for the full tour!!
Regarding beneficials, they end up being REALLY cheap if you can get a group of local people together to do a group order! I used to pay like 20-40/month once I found a group 😊 (and I got a LOT of bugs lol)
I just recently used Cryptolaemus montrouzieri to destroy some mealies. They ate them up and have been enjoying hanging out in my plant area since. I think I ordered a bottle of 10 but received about 15 in the container. Such an easy way to treat
Oh my, you have influenced me towards hoyas a lot. I’m currently trying my hand with the small leafed ones 🌱 Also love the pink bowl, it’s going to be so cute with the pings! 🌸🌸
This video was needed for me as I'm prepping 50-60 cuttings for a event at my universities pro-Palestine encampment and I underestimated how much work it'd be 😅😅😅
i find it better to loop the long vine around to the other side of the trellis if that makes sense 😅😅 like you can keep wrapping it around downwards until you have to go back around the other way. i’m so bad with explaining 😭😭😭
Great video Fern. I do so enjoy doing planty things with you! I a,so love the fact that you are real and opps I didn’t mean to leave that plant for 2 years 😂😂😂
Such a relaxing calming vid, thank you 🌸 Can you define “people who are really into Hoyas”? I can easily name/tell apart the green Hoyas that I have (and theres quite a bunch of them), the leaf shape, size, thickness and venation is slightly different for each of them. Theres 2 sets that would be difficult if I only had one leaf of them to tell them apart by Though I can imagine someone owning a lot of different Hoya Latifolia or Hoya Caudata or Hoya Finlaysonii or green Hoya Lacunosa types (just naming a few well known ones but could be any that are very similar really) may have trouble identifying them if they are all in the same place in the same pots and of similar size 🌱🌱🌱 You’ll probably be able ID (most of) yours by foliage in no time 😊
I’m waiting for your Hoya tour. Thank you for the repot video. Do you grown any of your Hoyas in PON? Do you think they bloom more when in soil? In my opinion I think they do. 🧡🌱🧡
You had a worried night? Try planting lemon balm in your garden. The fresh tea smells and tastes divine and repels insects in the veg patch. It calms the mind and helps me sleep. 🐝🌿🐞🌱
Hey Fern i thought of some different hoyas that i absolutely love in my own collection that you may also love 💚, my favourites right now are mirabilis splash, zambales, burmanica and pandurata. Not sure if you have any of those already 🌱
I have some thicker stem hoya(viola and doitung) that are difficult to trellis but they’re heavy when i let them trail.. makes me crazy when they don’t hang level 🤪 i keep all the tags in the pot with date of repot. I can’t remember anything so if I can put info on tag(including purchase date) the leas my brain needs to work 😂
Bonjour 😊 Le hoya "rampant" aurait peut-être besoin d'une jardinière, non ? En retombant, les racines le long de la tige vont sècher, je crois 😉. Bonne pousse ! 💚🍀
I can identify my Hoyas but I don’t have many. I only have two sets that look a like. Two different types of pubicalyx and then the Hoya Mathilde and the Hoya Curtisii and they don’t really look alike except they both have small leaves.
Fern, do you check for flat mites? If so, at what point do you do that? Also have you done the sulphur thing? I haven't done anything but only have a few hoyas. But it does make me nervous to order hoyas. Thanks!!
is there any reason not to just leave hoya growing in moss? i am asking because of course my props have been in moss for months! oops.. but they seem to be doing fine..just wondering whstvthe down side is. love your vids. I'm a big fan..
I read that if you propagate a leaf of Hoya it will root but it won’t become a growing plant. I tried it and sure enough they rooted but even after 2 years just remained a rooted leaf. Have you experienced this?

Mine grow anti-clockwise. I gave my variegated hoya carnosa a trellis and it just wrapped itself around it like that. Could be that the video is mirrored though…
What are your thoughts on potting all of those small ish (specifically the ones that u were not sure about which one that cutting came from) hoyas together? If they are not the same plant can they still thrive together in one pot to make a bigger plant?
the simple answer is that I'm just weird about wanting to have them all individually potted. the exception is that I will pot variegated and non-variegated varieties together, like my hoya Bella pot. it has inner and outer variegated hoya Bella and I'm going to add just the green variety in there too!
Ok awesome ty Fern! And no, I don't think it is weird to keep them separate;). Thanks for ur quick response. I'm kinda new to hoya varieties so I appreciate all of ur advice.! Love ur vids.
I cant believe how consistent you are with uploading! We appreciate you!
Thanks for the shoutout Fern 💗 Your Mathilde Silver is looking soooo good 😍 And I love her pot 🪴
I watered ALL of my hoya (51 varieties) and stuffed and sewed together one of my crocheted SOP while watching! Thanks for the fun video.
Hi Fern, Great Hoya repot video! Very enjoyable to watch. Your Caudata Silver is stunningly beautiful! Many thanks for this video and for sharing your beauties with us. Happy growing! 👌🪴🥰.
the hoya mathilde in the star planter is just freaking adorable!!!
Your videos are my favorite to watch for a lil lunchtime break, especially a Hoya repot!! Repot ✅, next is to see some gorgeous blooms on these cuties! Ah thank you so much! That is sooo exciting that your caudata is going to bloom for you!!
@@wildfern thank you! Can’t wait to see your silver Caudata flourish, I’m gonna have to keep my eye out for a silver one now 👀
The star planter is ✨ perfection ✨
Literally cannot wait for the new Hoya tour 🤩🤩🤩
I messaged solarium to say how beautiful that pot was but I thought they were palm trees 🌴 😂😂 Ahe corrected me! I’m a dingdong
I think they are sparkles 😂 ✨
I have a Hoya that I call just a little guy. He’s my mystery plant and I love him.
The struggle is REAL!!! I’ve got to repot my Hoyas!!! Over entered my Hoya Era & I have a bunch that need to be trellised & repotted!! 😎😎😎😎🪴🪴🪴🪴

Fern, you bring a space of relaxation and peace to my days. I can not be a patreon for now but I wanted to thank you 💚
You watching my videos is more than enough 🫶 thank you so much x

Yay new Fern video. 🩵 Also I love rewatching your repot videos when I've had enough of the internet's degeneracy lol. They're a nice mental reset
this makes me so happy to hear 🥹 thank you for watching!

I love the translucent trelliss.I've just bought 24 of them because of this video lol
Yay Hoya 🪴
That’s it! Time for me to repot. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤️
Hell, yeah girl, let’s get this thing Started! just what I needed to motivate me to do my own planty chores. 😊
This is by far my favorite kind of planty video to watch! Potting and styling plants/Hoya is just the best!
Beneficials are so expensive! It’s the main reason I haven’t used them. I just spray as I find them. So far it’s just been aphids and mites and no mealy bugs

Love the hanging basket with davidcummingii, super cute. ❤
I potted some Hoya cuttings from a friend and planted some impatiens for the patio while watching today 😀🇨🇦
Love a plant repot while I do my plant chores! ❤ thank you for your hard work and dedication! I know I’ve said it before but it’s so truly inspiring.
Yes!! I’ve been so pumped for this Hoya repot. 🎉 work was sooo loonngg this is literally turning my day around. 💚 grabbing plants and making tea and diving in now!

You have the most interesting plant content. You keep all of our attention. Great video! ❤ 🪴
I really like this video. Hoyas are one of my two favs. Hoya and ficuses
I love all your Hoyas. Thanks for posting this Hoya video, I don't have any but I want some. I suppose I should care for the plants I have now first before I get anymore. Lol ❤😊
Your pairing of plants and pots is so great 🙌🏽 you really have an eye for that
I love the pyramid planter with the insularis in it. Perfect combo

I repotted literally 40 Hoya this week and I’m still not over it 😅
Still have another 30 ish hits that need uppotting too 😢 soooo much work
This video was needed for me as I'm prepping 50-60 cuttings for a event at my universities pro-Palestine encampment and I underestimated how much work it'd be 😅😅😅
You’re such a peach, always a joy watching!! 💛😊

Awesome repotting vid! Thanks for sharing Fern!
I absolute love your repot video´s and the whole easy going vibe. Love x
Can’t wait to see the glow up video and see how all the repotted one are doing
Love a good repot video, thank you 👌🏼
Great video Fern. I do so enjoy doing planty things with you! I a,so love the fact that you are real and opps I didn’t mean to leave that plant for 2 years 😂😂😂
Such a fun video 💚💚💚
Yay all hoyas look good! Can't wait for a hoya tour!
🪴Hoya Heaven!
The hoya is Hanhiae for sure. I knew it before you got confused. I have the yellow flower one.

I just popped down here to offer a verbal hug when you need it 🥰🫂 I always love your videos so much and look forward to them!
Love this video, i love all plants but hoyas are my all time favourites 💚
Yay!! Hoya content! 🎉
You had a worried night? Try planting lemon balm in your garden. The fresh tea smells and tastes divine and repels insects in the veg patch. It calms the mind and helps me sleep. 🐝🌿🐞🌱
great idea ☺️ thank you for sharing x
Such beautiful Hoyas ❤
Hey Fern i thought of some different hoyas that i absolutely love in my own collection that you may also love 💚, my favourites right now are mirabilis splash, zambales, burmanica and pandurata. Not sure if you have any of those already 🌱
Midday work slump, perfect timing ❤️🔥🔥✨
I love your repot videos
Great video Fern ❤️
I like to root Hoya in tree fern fiber bc they love it and you don't have to fight the sphagnum. The tree fern fiber just comes right off.
nice! I do perlite for the same reason, super easy to remove and no ill effects if you leave some on.
I have some thicker stem hoya(viola and doitung) that are difficult to trellis but they’re heavy when i let them trail.. makes me crazy when they don’t hang level 🤪 i keep all the tags in the pot with date of repot. Fern, do you check for flat mites? If so, at what point do you do that? Also have you done the sulphur thing? I haven't done anything but only have a few hoyas. But it does make me nervous to order hoyas. Thanks!!
I'm so early again! 😍😍 I'm so excited for a new video ❤❤
🎉 enjoy!! thank you so much for watching :)
is there any reason not to just leave hoya growing in moss? i am asking because of course my props have been in moss for months! oops.. but they seem to be doing fine..just wondering whstvthe down side is. love your vids. I'm a big fan..
I have several but will trail my H. davidcumingiana. Thx!
would you remove all the moss if you were switching them into pon? is leaving a little only ok for transfer to soil?
Do you still use PON???? Is it any good for succulents? Thanks
Wondering where you bought your white clips you use to clip plants to your grid in your ikea cabinet? Thanks
I read that if you propagate a leaf of Hoya it will root but it won’t become a growing plant. I tried it and sure enough they rooted but even after 2 years just remained a rooted leaf. Have you experienced this?
I loved your video❤
What is the video called that shows how you make your own orchid spray for the hoya?
Where did you buy the trelles & clips
Hey, on the hoya silver lady, it looks like that's the front but you trellised it going clockwise. Is it true that hoya's want to grow counter-clockwise?
Mine grow anti-clockwise. I gave my variegated hoya carnosa a trellis and it just wrapped itself around it like that. Could be that the video is mirrored though…
🎉🎉🎉
