Been used in other countries for years.. what controls have the manufactures been using? Guess i dont get the statment manufactures need to figure this out as they go
I already have my A2L license, but it sounds like nothing is written in stone yet. They will wait until someone gets hurt or something burns down before they will start adding to the do's and don'ts. Anyway, for those that does not know, an A2L license also includes A3 refrigerants, High flammability Refrigerants, 600, 600A and R290 (butane, Isobutane and Propane )
So ah everyone goes and buys new tools to accomodate the A2L. How long before the EPA comes and moves the goal post again? One BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$making racket!
Pretty soon people won't be able to afford AC, we will have to go back to the bucket of ice and a fan... California "the shithole state" and our Gov have totally screwed up, something so simple... can you tell I am a R22 fan.... o-ya, I did this kind of work for over 30 years, a lot of commercial stuff, Train big chillers.... when people would ask me what I did for work I would tell them, "I make ice water".... lol

Just another change in our industry, not a big deal. As a tech that started out in very large ammonia systems this is a walk in the park.
