Yeah, hopefully the fact that them randomly adding a Batman/Batgirl romance subplot to the "Killing Joke" movie made EVERYONE hate it will cause people to think twice before doing that again. Too bad, as I was really excited about that adaptation until I heard they had pulled that shit.
Considering she's usually depicted as a teenager or college aged, yeah, it's pretty icky. Not to mention, one of them is Barbara... James Gordon's daughter... which just feels wrong when people have them boinking, then Bats chatting to her dad about serial killers and shit.
TheBlues32 I loved old school Superman he had all the power in the world knew it and reveled in it with a smugness and charm that was unmatched it was basically what a Superman would be like if he knew how to have fun and had a bit of an ego I mean he is effectively a god on Earth so of course he is gonna act like one because fuck you why don't you tell him to stop and see if you survive.
I don't really see the keeping weaknesses on the JL thing as a bad thing. It is kind of a betrayal but it is also completely logical, you can never say the good guys would never turn bad.
Meh, that comedian chose to participate in a crime. The cops are the ones who really chased him with their guns (Batman only confronts him at the end of the catwalk) and he chooses to jump from the catwalk. Don't think you can blame Batman for someone else's poor choices.
Guy Randall The reason Batman was going to kill Superman was because he was too powerful and didn't care about the loss of human life in the events of Man Of Steel. But then it turns out he has an empathetic love of his human mother implying just the opposite of Batman's reasons. Batman stops because if he kills Superman, he becomes just like Joe Chill, the guy who killed his parents. The psychological references are all there in Batman's development through the film but if you don't spell out every little thing to an audience, they tend to miss it. So the Martha parallel was all most people caught.
Look at it this way: what kind of person, when he's about to die, begs the person who's about to kill him to save *someone else*? Most people would beg for their own lives, not for someone else's life. The big theme of "Batman v Superman" is what makes a person a hero? Superman conclusively proved that he's a hero by using what he thought was his last breath to try to save someone. That's when Batman realized that Superman truly was a hero; probably a better hero than Batman himself had ever been, and *certainly* better than Batman was being in that moment.
Well and truly agreed. Sometimes just for the hashtag shit ____ for wankers joke. Although he didn't sound nearly as Matt Berryish in this one. COME ON BEN!!!
I don't know how having a plan to deal with members of the Justice League is bad thing. Batman even made a plan for himself if he ever became uncontrollable.
It's a bad thing because a villain got their hands on those plans as said in the video and basically curb stomped the league. That's why it's a bad thing. Because Bats apparently didn't have it secured enough.
It's impossible to secure that knowledge. No matter how he did it, even just keeping it in his head, magic would have stolen the knowledge and the event would still happen. It's impossible to hide and protect. Also the knowledge was in the batcave, in a secured and highly encrypted computer, while being encrypted to be nearly impossible to get access to it. And yet it was stolen without Batman knowing and opened easily by a guy that isn't even a super genius or something. It's the writers just giving the villain the info and never explaining how he got it, as there wouldn't be a way logically.
It's a bad thing because 1- There is already an army of villains and bad guys that want to take the League out. Adding to that is not a good idea. 2- It shows that Batman is truly incapable of trusting anyone. He is a pathological liar, control freak and sociopath who absolutely MUST control everything and everyone around him. This is reason why he surrounds himself with children. Easier to bully and control. 3- Batman has killed, repeatedly. The other League members do so under extreme duress. Bats just... kind of kills when he wants to, when he's not throwing kids to their deaths. Having recipes on how to take out the League in the hands of a guy who has more than loose morals is not a good idea. 4- A plan to kill Batman isn't too hard to get. Shoot him in the face or something. 5- The Batcave gets broken into every few months by pretty much everyone. Having secret plans there is a poor idea.
And then DC found a way to make #10 worse, even without multiple burning corpses: replacing Black Canary with Batgirl and putting it in the adaptation of The Killing Joke.
They also ruined Leslie Thompkins in that Stephanie Brown story. They made it so that Leslie intentionally let Stephanie die to teach Batman a lesson about putting people in danger. They did eventually retcon it, and did a pretty damn sloppy job, but it was just one of the dumbest things they've ever done. And none of the writers of the Batman Beyond show were involved in that comic about Batman getting Batgirl pregnant.
They also talked about Batman dating Batgirl in one of the cartoons unfortunately... maybe the Justice League thing? It is super gross. The whole Stephanie Brown fiasco was just part of the dark and angsty storm that led to the big retcon. They really ruined Tim Drake by killing his father, his girlfriend, and his best friend all close together. He went from being the 'normal' Robin who was fun to this dark angst lord.
The Mysterious Retro Gamer It makes sense given if you reread the Dark Knight returns he is basically a mellowed out version of the All Star Batman who is effectively the most realistic depiction of Batman ever done seeing as well Batman is a fucking nutcase
Don't forget never killing the Joker. While his no kill policy makes sense most of the time, the Joker has proved time and again that he's a far greater danger than the KGBeast could ever HOPE to be. Sometimes a mad dog HAS to be put down.
Well at the end of Death of the Family he got dropped down a fucking cliff, and Batman let it happen...he found immortality at the end of that and then died again after that, and came back. Joker Immortality is a trope on tv tropes. Kind of hard to kill that which refuses to actually die.
yep it was retconned later, he was supposed to have starved in there or killed himself but a few months later they retconned it into him telling robin he sent the popo in a few minutes later
Someone probably already said this but Bruce didn't know that Stephanie was still alive, it was Leslie Tompkins who secretly moved Stephanie to another location to hopefully teach Batman a lesson about not using children to fight in his war
You probably know this already, but I'm pretty sure it was the Ted Kord Blue Beetle to die, but the image was of Jaime Reyes. It's doesn't really matter since the point still got across well, but I just wanted to double check if I was on to something or not.
He also doomed Clayface, in the animated series, by turning off the machine that would have changed him into a human being again. This provoked Clayface into attacking Batman and falling to his presumed death in the ocean. And it would have been one thing if he had indeed died, but he later resurfaced and was stuck being Clayface for the rest of eternity. Had Batman just left well enough alone, Clayface would have become Matt Hagan again and the world would have one less supervillain to worry about.
The thing with KGBeast is bad in another way; the villain managed to escape before he starved, meaning he potentially let a dangerous assassin remain free. (Of course, Beast has never been quite as competent since then, resorting to more petty supervillainy and crimes like counterfeiting.)
The whole aspect of him keeping the weaknesses of the justice league is not a terrible thing its a good thing Batman did not think he would go crazy making him take over for a bit was not a terrible chose just not fully planed out Stephany did the mistake not batman so he is not to blame for the plan failing Seriously you are talking about batman killing in the past that is not horrible that is his original way
Number Nine is bullshit though cause having contingency plans to defeat every member of the Justice League is smart considering how powerful some of the members are and if any of them were to become evil or fall in mind control or whatever then the world would be collectively fucked without a plan to defeat them. Granted maybe Batman should've run this down with the Justice League before creating the plans to defeat them but it's Batman, you know how paranoid and secretive he is so this is to be expected. Besides he also made plans to defeat himself, you'd think that would balance things out.
Gary Turbo he actually killed the joker 3 times before the rule was set the joker just kept surving somehow in fact batman killed joker in the jokers first appearance
tigerlep hunter Not really seeing as even then he is still basically Thor(seriously the dude is basically Thor except he controls the seas vs thunder) as in he can still rip you in half with his pinky while fucking your girlfriend better than you ever could :P
yes but you forgot to add the 1 making him lose all his powers while fucking my girlfriend XDXDXD thus allowing me to kill him while he fucks her XD lol
You probably could do the whole list off of stuff from All Star Batman and Robin, or you can save your sanity and do like Linkara did, say it was a homeless man known as Crazy Steve who found a Batman costume and thought he was Bruce Wayne.
If you'd never heard of him before this, you must be living under a rock. Blue Beetle has been in many of the DC cartoons over the last few years, featuring prominently in Justice League vs. Teen Titans, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, and Justice League Action.
When you mentioned what happened to Green Lantern in Tower of Babel you used a picture of the Hal Jordan version. Kyle Rayner was the Green Lantern in that story.
Hey, wait a minute! _All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder_ doesn't count! It was never intended to be in continuity and was so bad even the creative team decided to cut their losses and leave rather than complete the abomination. NOBODY acknowledges anything that happened in that story (least of all DC).
Keeping files on his friends wasn't messed up at all. Do you know how many times they've been brainwashed, hypnotized, cloned, etc.? It'd be like having a secret button to fire all the nukes in the world and not even giving it password protection.

In City of Light he killed a kid by landing on a stair well, causing the entire thing to collapse on the kid. In Batgirl Volume 1 he did nothing to help the illiterate girl, who is also the protagonist of the series, learn how to read, write, or speak English, and left her with Barbara Gordon during one of her raging bitch phases.
Revealed in Batman Year Three, it turns out that he called the police after he left KG Beast in there. Guess they just wanted to shock the fans at the time:/
Alfred Soul so where would shooting someone in the leg fall? if not treated they'll bleed out, but that's not Batman's fault if they bleed out. what about giving them cancer? he didn't kill the joker, the CANCER did, actually now I want an assassin hero/ anti hero the secretly infects various villains with deadly diseases, and acting innocent about it all, after all it's not their fault if someone dies from a curable disease, even if the cure isn't easy to obtain or guaranteed to work.
I know the movies aren't canon but I think Batman v Superman, no matter if if you think it's good or bad, used that pretty clever. Bats burns the *really* bad guys with his symbol so they get killed in prison but doesn't kill them himself or makes them get killed for sure. And the thing with the Joker... I think he just does this to like henchmen because he is on a kind of personal level with "his villains" (Joker, Riddler, Bane etc.). We all know that he secretly needs them.
First isn't canon. Second, Batman left the league before he could be kicked. Although let's be honest he would have been locked logically even though having the plans is fair. The KGBeast one was retconned. Feel it shouldn't have been though. The Batgirl one isn't canon either. I mean to the DCAU maybe. Other than all that, jerk fits well.
Number 9 backfired that one time, but it's also saved everyone's asses. When your super friends all start wearing starfish hats on their faces and acting funny, it's time to break out the batmaneuvers. Because mind control is a thing that happens regularly.
Wait Batman will let some guy starve in a sewer but he won't kill the joker? What kind of logic is that?
No he locked him in there and called the GCPD thinking that they were gonna save him
Batman let joker murder hush 🤫

I can't be the only one who finds it weird the writers always hook up Batman and Batgirl even tho she's kinda like a kid compared to him.
That's what he's saying. It's only Bruce Tim and the other Animated Series Universe writers that tend to hook them up.

It's not like he's 60 and she's 12!

In the comics Bruce Wayne sponsored Batman so bat credit card was a thing.

I don't really see the keeping weaknesses on the JL thing as a bad thing. It is kind of a betrayal but it is also completely logical, you can never say the good guys would never turn bad.
Not only that knowing your own teams weakness can be used to protect them from bad guys who get close to finding them out or do actually know.
yes but what if batman turned bad and they had to stop him, he's already got a plan in place to stop them or even kill them
Dan Miathail he also had how to beat himself in there
Um, a batman contingency of corse.
He had prepared for everything, it seemed, other than a villain getting that info and using it.
Worst thing he did was chase that poor comedian though a chemical plant.
lol
Well you are indeed correct, since that created the Joker

yes, but from the Christmas speicle showed Damien and John are now best friend like their dads.

"Do a sex" nice grammar.
Keeping files on his friends wasn't messed up at all. Do you know how many times they've been brainwashed, hypnotized, cloned, etc.? It'd be like having a secret button to fire all the nukes in the world and not even giving it password protection.
Batman is an 8 year old's idea of how to fix crime.
More like 13 when kids turn more Emo and move away from good ole superman
What attack then disarm and don't kill sounds fine to me.
The Punisher is more like my idea of how to fix crime.
The conservatives idea of how to solve crime.
Actually the conservatives idea of how to solve crime is to kick out all the brown people.
Having a plan to defeat the super heroes isnt bad at all.I dont know why any logical person would think thats a bad thing.
I would have thought allowing the joker to live would have been number 1
Good God, how many channels does Whatculture have? Whatculture Wrestling, Whatculture Gaming, Whatculture Comics, Whatculture MMA, Whatculture, and WCPW. So, 6.
Number 1: Batman and Robin... Just... Batman and Robin. >.
No it's the lego versions 78 years of tax evasion
6:00
*Unable to die, even though he wanted to, eventually, Lord Death Man stopped thinking....*
Finally a man of culture

You're just now noticing? It's been like this for years
MiloMilou Batman told me to inform you that you have to watch the youtube video form beginning to end for it to qualify as a view so peaple most have commented and bailed
MiloMilou p
In City of Light he killed a kid by landing on a stair well, causing the entire thing to collapse on the kid. In Batgirl Volume 1 he did nothing to help the illiterate girl, who is also the protagonist of the series, learn how to read, write, or speak English, and left her with Barbara Gordon during one of her raging bitch phases.
Revealed in Batman Year Three, it turns out that he called the police after he left KG Beast in there. Guess they just wanted to shock the fans at the time:/
I mean, it is confirmed that Batman doesn't kill but still often doesn't care if his actions lead to bad guys dying.
Alfred Soul No wonder he just lets every bad guy fall and snaps their necks
Alfred Soul so where would shooting someone in the leg fall? if not treated they'll bleed out, but that's not Batman's fault if they bleed out. what about giving them cancer? he didn't kill the joker, the CANCER did, actually now I want an assassin hero/ anti hero the secretly infects various villains with deadly diseases, and acting innocent about it all, after all it's not their fault if someone dies from a curable disease, even if the cure isn't easy to obtain or guaranteed to work.
yet he saves joker from a situation batman did not cause
I know the movies aren't canon but I think Batman v Superman, no matter if if you think it's good or bad, used that pretty clever. Bats burns the *really* bad guys with his symbol so they get killed in prison but doesn't kill them himself or makes them get killed for sure. And the thing with the Joker... I think he just does this to like henchmen because he is on a kind of personal level with "his villains" (Joker, Riddler, Bane etc.). We all know that he secretly needs them.
Having plans to take down his friends wasnt a bad thing he had a plan for himself too
"Venom" story arc?
The next time someone says "Cuz he's the goddamn Batman." I think I'm going to link them this vid just to mess with them.
For the guy left to starve we could technically say. He doesn't kill him directly. But he also doesn't have to save him either.
So #3... he pulled a Kars.
Eventually, Lord Death Man stopped thinking.
That's some good shit, getting batgirl knocked up.
Don't care, I still think he's cool
Reverse Joe he's overrated
Actual number one worst thing Batman has ever done: Appeared in Batman V Superman the movie.
I kid. I kid.
Or *do* I?
I shouldn't reply, but I am bored.. ahem.. I liked it. :)
It's cool if you think that man. Everyone is entitled to have horrible, horrible taste.
Well to be fair it was a good idea to keep plans in case a League member goes rouge like superman. He just needs a better way to protect the plans.
Now I really want to read all the Batman comics ever made!
Number 9 backfired that one time, but it's also saved everyone's asses. When your super friends all start wearing starfish hats on their faces and acting funny, it's time to break out the batmaneuvers. Because mind control is a thing that happens regularly.
The worst thing is Batman Vs Superman
False.
Its the same as in the comics.
To me making plans to take down his team members wasn't to bad i would do the same just incase the turned evil or mind control and ect
Sometimes I hate D.C.
same
Deadpool: *Slaps batman*
THAT'S FOR SLAPPING ROBIN SO MUCH!
YOU ABUSIVE BASTARD!
There is a video of batman killing someone on my channel
So?
#shitherowholetamisunderstoodanimalgohungryforwankers
The no. Of likes I get is my weight in kg
Seems like you're anorexic...
there, now you're 2 bags of sugar
you weigh less than i did the day i was born
KGBeast is one of the best goddamned names I've ever heard.
Come on, you know you'd Batsex Black Canary on a muddy pier next to a huge burning pile of bodies. He gets a pass on that one.
Bonus fact: Doesn't hire Deadshot to work for him so he gets money to live with his daughter and leave crime
"all star batman and robin" so using the non canon frank millers insane take on batman.
1:14, the JLA didn't care about Batman's plans, they were bothered about how they were easily stolen.
watching the beginning of this video I just think of LEGO Alfred going "And, that weird one in 1966."
5:15 SHIT! THE TITANS ARE COMING! BUILD A FUCKING 50 METER WALL!!!!
and number 1 continuisly refusing to kill the joker
you got alot of these stories wrong and out of context
Batman Did Nothing Wrong
it was circumstances :p
Whatever he does we will love him forever ..why cuz he's batman
whatculture wrestling was great.. whatculture comics!!!!!! this is life changing
Batman quit the League.
They didn't expel him.
