its a nice lookin rig and yours to do as you like lockers go a long way to help any 4x4,, more so than big tires big tires go hand in glove with lift kits and will add clearance as well as good looks however function is better than looks how it performs off road is what counts
Oh man, you guys sure know how to put this utility vehicle to the test. It should change the name from Defender to Attacker, it attacks this rough terrain with ease LoL
You can see why the Land Rover products are the best off roaders in the world by far its just a shame that they haven’t sold the Defender in 5 years or so but hopefully get the new buyers/farmers etc back but i fear that the new Defender is a little to expensive even the cheapest version !!!!
Nice job man! Lovely truck - those axles are sweet as! Everyone commented tyre pressure but it looks like you had em down some. Defs go more tho. Also, easy on the brakes - gentle n smooth. Comes with confidence in yourself and the truck. Are you going to lift it or trim the fenders to resolve the scrub? Either way, very jelly!!
drdrew101 Thanks for dropping us a comment. The suspension is still evolving and this was his first off road experience on this sort of terrain. He will definitely improve his technique with more time out in the rough stuff.
@@pemulwuy5914 how much work is it to get the 35s to fit? I have a defender 110 puma, so should be more or less the same as a 90 in terms of clearance...
it needs more lift... 35inch doesn't fit, but to increase lift, you need to widen the axle too for better stability... all this is ot really worth the cost though, only if you like perfection
Khalid 2inch in the video and not modified arches but had a lot of scrubbing. He has since made some changes. Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed the vid 👍
Its a historical thing dating back to horse and cart. Where the is a designated track, road, byway, tarmac or not, every motor vehicle has to be taxed, tested and insured. Where we have open moorland, beaches etc that are not in private hands you have to adhere to the marked right of way. You cannot drive on a beach unless designated as such and all road legislation applies. No quads or MX bikes. Some UK beaches are privately owned and need permission. The best you can do on our small island is an off road park or a 4x4 day on someones land. You have to bear in mind the whole of the UK is only the size of one of your farms.
So you're THAT guy, huh? I'm ok, I'm ....uh guys, give me a tug? Yeah I'm good, I can make it...uhhhh, a little help please, kinda hung up here... Yeah, who needs bigger/more aggressive tires to off-road...no, you're not coming out with us!
Spotter and driver, ur dining and ok job for ur experience leave but this is not like LROR they have top notch drivers and one hell of a spotter.. but as I say no Offense you guys are doing great for your skill level
Definitely, he is relatively new to this type of offroading and was hesitant to listen about tyre pressures on the day. With more time im sure he will get the right pressures in them.
I love how it's only lifted enough to fit the 35s. Nice and stable with a low center of gravity.
👌
Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed it. The car is beautiful and congratulations to the driver!

Would airing down those tires stop the slipping? Love. This truck, just like I would like it!
The tyre look awesome... i have land rover in 1/8 scale.. D130 HCPU R/C version.. 😁
Awesome. We just recently started a scale rc channel, look us up ua-cam.com/channels/SoR6Shh40OKNf6lIwSj7Bw.html
Great setup of vehicle and l would like to do the same trk,but you need a spotter.

Beautiful
Thanks for putting this together and the 90 looks fantastic. Which track is this?
Also please keep posting any updates on your build!
Thanks for watching 👍 Its the Nepean Trail in NSW
Excellent
my dream car
Nice to see someone spending money on decent mechanicals rather than just cosmetics.
Salty Pretzel Agreed.
Very nice.
You ready to come out yet mate? We are heading out this w.e. to tracks that would be suitable for your rig to join.
LROR Land Rovers Off Road If your out Sunday, I'm in !!!
Nice rig....tires are to inflated but very nice rig....

@@ruandevilliers8946 I think the 110's setup is even slightly higher than on the 90.
Waoo magnifique bravo.
Awesome, 👍💪
Cheers mate. Been a long time need to catch up soon.
How'd you get the tyres to fit? Is it 2in lift and extended flares?
What's the point of 35's if you've got no upward travel and they keep rubbing on the guards ?...looks good though.
Hector Heath Suspension on this rig is still evolving. Thank you for watching and dropping us a comment.

How much lift currently? Also did you have to modify the arches to accommodate the 35s? Great vid thumbs up.
Khalid 2inch in the video and not modified arches but had a lot of scrubbing. He has since made some changes. Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed the vid 👍
Awesome. Sorry for all the questions but did he run spacers? I'm contemplating a build right now. That stance is phenomenal.
Ben H
Is the lift totally necessary to run 35s? My shocks lift kit is delayed 1 more month and I really need new set of tires
Land rover very3.. Strong.. And the good off the production defender land rover
Luqman Luqman Hakim Thanks for watching and dropping us a comment 👍
Where I can see photos of these def ?
Not sure about the 35's guys, watch out for those drive shafts, they dont like shock loads. I know, I've had 5 of them.
Dartmoor Dave yes 35s and standard driveline components arent a great idea on the hard stuff.
Anybody here in the UK is deadly jealous you have somewhere to drive. There is no "Public land" here.
Dartmoor Dave That's not good news, what's happened to all the land? Agreed we are lucky here to have so much to play on.
Its a historical thing dating back to horse and cart. Where the is a designated track, road, byway, tarmac or not, every motor vehicle has to be taxed, tested and insured. A standard disco 2 would have done this track with a decent driver.
What inch lift was required and what are you re rim and tyre specs?
What lift needs to be done to fit 35 inch tires?
il defener è bellissimo. :-)
P.s guys to much tire Replace a little bit of that tire with the experience thanks guys keep up the good work
I think this car dosnt need big wheels just original wheels is enough ☺for off road
I think you are stupid
ahahah

The defender definitely needs lifting a few inches but looks nice tho
Adventures of Jake Its all a compromise, more clearance at the expense of stability i suppose.
FUCK that things gorgeous
Although. I don’t like the conveniently placed rocks !!!
Needs a lift kit
amcf2000c suspension on this rig is still evolving.
tire pressure needed dropping
Looks like it's L4 not V8
🇬🇧?
To much air in the taier for rock climbing

Newb
My jeep pn 31s could do that easily and i only got limited slips and ot looks beter too.
You should of bought a 300tdi or a 200tdi not a tdci and don't buy a td5
There not that bad, are they? 😂
Can I ask why?
Cos I got a TDI thinking of upgrading to a td5 because the lack of power is getting a frustrating in the tdi.
Td5 are not so good off roading an the old tdci just go in to limp mode 300tdi are more reliable but yes very underpowered
amcf2000c what are the known issues in a td5 ?
nguont nothing really just not so good off roading
