    When I go to work at the hotel.after 3 days off I always tell my desk workers "no offense" with a smile as I disinfect the telephones and keyboards and doorknobs ..I like 2 see a man who understands how to clean!

    yessss thank you. i love chemistry and i love understanding how things work on a molecular level- and i also really like it to be explained to me in simple layman terms because i can visualise it and make sense of it rather than reading it out of a chemistry textbook!

    I looooooove the details! I'm doing a training on DIY natural cleaning products. This is a great refresher of the science.

    Not bad. Maybe too advanced for this video but there is also cleaner chemicals that assist the surfactants like alkalies, alkaline salts such as sodium carbonate and sodium metasilicate, solvents like alcohols and glycol ethers, and hydrotropes like sodium xylenesulfonate which allow higher surfactant concentrations. There are also acid cleaners with nonionic surfactants and acids like phosphoric, citric, or lactic acid
    But those additives are usually for heavy duty cleaning. Many times a blend of anionic and nonionic surfactants are sufficient.

    I could really use a video on cleaning furnaces, mine has dust everywhere from neglectful previous tenants!

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  4 роки тому

      For the most part, depends on the type of dust, I would just vacuum it with a hose and brush attachment.

    How well do surfactants work without water?

    Love your videos. You could do us, and the world, a favour by showing us how to clean without chemicals.

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  4 роки тому

      That's a difficult feat to accomplish because you have to have something that's gonna reduce the surface tension and actually penetrate the soil. In 12 years of cleaning I have never found a chemical-free product that actually works unfortunately.

    Which chemical is power full for removing stains?

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  4 роки тому

      Depends on the type of stains and surfaces they are on. There is no one size fits all when it comes to stain removal.
