Thanks Pat for giving of your time to share with others. I agree some "religions" They manipulate and pacify and orchestrate circumstances and often it has nothing to do with what God says. For example sadly many have turned in the wrong direction. God does Not want "sacrifices" does Not want "idol worship" and yet this has crept into many churches.

The root word of religion in Latin it religare, meaning 'to bind'. Further back in Indo-European, its to reunite. Yoga is also related to yoke of rebind. Seems like the impluse is to reunite or reconnect with God, a Diety or a Force apart.
