    Great interview, I swear Hollywood need to make a movie about these guys, their story and journey and downfall is worth telling. I mean seriously, if they can make a movie about Selena, Biggie, Pac I'm sure they can do a major production movie about these guys. I've been waiting years for any sort of news on a movie being made about these guys and nothing has come about. I strongly believe that guy, Frank is behind the reason why a movie has never been made because after all, he's the reason why all this happen so I'm sure he has a blood sucking lawyer keeping it from happening, not to mention if there was indeed other important people behind the scenes knowing this secret like Clive Davis, their reputation would be put to the test. But still, I truly want a movie to be made, I'm sure more secretive details will come out if it indeed happens.

They just never expected the first song to blow up so fast. Let alone the next single and 2 more songs after that. So I agree they are victims here, kinda. Victims of success.

    Sad thing is, I know if they used their real voices it still would have been successful. Number one they had the perfect image and the songs were awesome. Fans especially in pop music listen with their eyes first and music mostly comes second. Most singers can't sing a note to save there lives, never put to much into that.

    • @RocStarr913
      @RocStarr913 7 років тому +1

      mark lee z I'm not so sure. I thought Rob & Fab were very entertaining as performers, but they didn't really have the vocal chops of the Milli Vanilli singers, especially at the time. Their producer Frank Farian had the magic touch, which is clear after all the years of success with Boney M. Fab became a much better singer by the time of the Rob & Fab album, but them and their collaborators just couldn't duplicate what Farian brought. His second Milli Vanilli album, which didn't have frontmen, had stronger material by comparison. Rob & Fab did actually put out a single in Germany the year before prior to meeting Farian, as part of a group called Empire Bizarre called "Dansez", but there are barely any vocals on the song.

    • @RocStarr913
      @RocStarr913 7 років тому +7

      Drediggy That wasn't the defining thing that ended Milli Vanilli, but it was the beginning of the end. What really made Milli Vanilli problematic was winning a Grammy, because then, they became too visible in mainstream music, more than they already were, because that award is the highest music industry honor. What really ended it was Rob & Fab fighting with Frank Farian to sing on the next album, because they knew they had become so big that they couldn't keep it a secret indefinitely. They tried several times to quit, but were bound by their contract with the producer and resignation is pretty much non-existent on a record label if you are a big success, so they had to force the producer's hand into stopping the whole thing, otherwise they would have been bound from other potential opportunities with other record labels.

      Martha Wash was treated horribly... she sang ALL the vocals on Seduction's "You're My One And Only True Love" and got no credit! Technotronic did the same thing with Ya-Kid-Kay, because she was underage. Anyone remember Felly? Lol. Things got really bad when paranoia gripped the industry after a backup singer went after Paula Abdul claiming that she sang lead on all of her songs! Ironically the fake voices are coming back...

    Milli Vanilli put out 5 singles in the US, not 4. The fifth was “All Or Nothing” and it peaked at #4. Not all 4 singles went to #1 in the US. “Girl You Know It’s True” peaked at #2 here. Drink and drugs does not help people cope; it helps them screw up.

    I'm from Germany and I remember that milli vanilli being huge there since I believe the producers were german or some like that. It was like girl you know it's true wad the anthem of my childhood and they were really big in not only in Germany but whole Europe. I mean they were invited to TV shows and their concerts were sold out and everyone of my friends had that record at home and all of that shit, but they were like gone so fast from one day to the other. Out of a sudden media turned their back on them and they were never seen on TV again, they showed that concert gone wrong over and over again though and talked them down so I absolutely believe what he's telling.

    Dude, hey Mr. Fab being alone is not the foundation, seed, cornerstone of reality! How much knowledge in what is right and how strong spiritually you are to live in what is right is!
    In other words if you are the kind of guy that "MUST" have people around you because you are afraid of being alone and the toxic people pick up on this, then you will be the center of attention so as long as you are famous, have money and make others feel important. They will be your "YES" people!
    Once most of the money disappears, the fame dies down and you no longer make people feel important because they are around you, then you will notice that these people will slowly but surely disassociate and then, only then you will realize who truly truly was a friend and not a "YES" person with their filthy hands in your pocket.
    I have always thought that the reason for people not disassociating with toxic bad people is because of that very fear of being alone. Of course the one's with their filthy hands in your pockets already know this weaknes and exploit it as much as they can without being detected.
    If only people had the courage, the knowledge and the will to say, "HEY, YOU ARE TOXIC TO MY LIFE SO BE OFF AND NEVER COME BACK!" then there will be less evil done because after all, since all the toxic people are being disbanded or pushed away, who will they cause harm to?
