@timesend0 the reason why this genre even exists it's because of a concept called synergy. Card games in general reward players for using cards that work in tandem with each other to achieve results that are greater than the sum of the individual parts. In the game like this we cannot choose exactly which cards and other game mechanics to use in your strategy it's important that you are as a player are given the opportunity to synergize in order to succeed in the game. If the amount of items in the game goes up the amount of synergy goes down because you see less of the items that already work together it makes the prospect of creating new items more challenging because the fun and interesting parts of crafting a build is inherently opposed to the addition of new items. Then when you do add new items you also have to keep in mind a lot of factors like what the old items do to avoid creating new synergies that are overtuned and the ratios of items that produce specific effects for example poison what if 10 items were added to Vanessa's item pool and none of them supported poison it would make it much harder to try an incorporate that mechanic into your average board. At the end of the day I don't think having less opportunities to synergize is fun having a run end because you feel that the game didn't offer you enough opportunities to create a functional build is not fun. In a game like this, interactions that are oppressive can be individually tuned to increase the relative balance of the game while also not messing with the amount of potential Synergy we already have access to.

They will struggle to keep MONSTERS balanced with so many patches, so easy to unbalance the whole thing with a change like no more starter skill.
Have they finally renamed miss Isles to ms Dooley?
How the fuck are there no (real) nerfs to freeze? I think that mechanic is so anti-fun.
I'll have to play to see how the game feels now, but I'm so disappointed about freeze 🥶
Yeee
It's a closed beta still, i'm not surprised seeing plethora of changes every patch.
As a Vanessa main, what a fucking terrible patch. Guess it's fire only now
So they buffed freeze? Wtf? That was the most hearthstone BS rng mechanic. Slow was a better mechanic since it didn't stop you from playing. They nerfed slow... If you find board freeze = gg. Otherwise, tough luck. sO mUcH skIlL
This is disappointing.
@3:40 surely this is just picking one from 4 instead of 1 from 3 not "you get 4 items"
edit: oh he got it in the end. I struggle to see how an "expert" on this game could read that to mean "you get 4 items at the start of the game" - that is such a fundamental change to the way the game is structured, an "expert" reaction to thinking it meant 4 items at the start of the game should be "what the fuck, these guys don't know how their own game works"
Who cares? I bet it won't matter till open beta. So huge patch for you, for us is just another one, before the big one for the closed beta.
dock lines is gonna be a must buy xd i dread the nerfs to my beloved dock lines. i knew them op before everyone T.T
56 seconds ago huh
It was streamed like 2 hours too lol
xd
Glad I got one last 100 crit triple dagger port build in today
Knee brace might not be an "exploit" but still stupid game design. Cooldown reducing consumables should not be affected by temporary item stuff, it's just annoying to move it all around to get most cooldown out of it, feels very non-intended.
Knee brace swapping is awesome. If moving things around is annoying and not central and expressive, we're talking about a different game.
Nah I love little micro knowledge checks like knee brace.
I like to think of it like Power Tread switching in Dota 2. Kind of a pain to do but very good value.
dedgamelol
They keep slowing down progression more and more especially the XP, I'm hard passing on this update.Hopefully the cooking is more appealing next time around....
Nobody understands this "game"
Hot take they would not have to nerf crap if they stopped forcing fake pvp encounters on us in a single player game, fk pvp snapshots it’s so soul crushing it will end this game mark my words
Play slay the spire or any other rouge like then
The only reason most people play is for the pvp. This is a bad take
maybe this is not the game for you then if don't want fake PvP
Ah yes, you wouldn't need to nerf Hearthstone cards if you only played against bots. Great point.
This game is terrible it's pure RNG nothing more you get lucky you win, you don't you lose. This game is for noobs and casual players only. Guys never buy this game. Please !!! This game is trash.
😂 why is this slop ai comment on my screen
You’re entitled to your own opinion. Unfortunately your opinion is stupid💀
skill issue + BG simp
I’m not surprised Reynad is Chad and moves fast and breaks things
It’s called being a good developer
I was out of the hearthstone community for almost a decade and you bastards pulled me back in
