  • Peace be with you. A blessed #LaudatoSiSunday, everyone! Today is the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time and the Second Sunday of the #SeasonOfCreation. Let's listen to the reflection of Fr. Amado L. Picardal, CSsR, Executive Co-Secretary of the Commission for Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation of the Union of Superiors General (USG-UISG) Rome.
Matthew 18:35-20 - In the Gospel, Jesus teaches how to be merciful and forgiving.
Pope Francis reminds us in Laudato Si', On Care for Our Common Home, number 71:
"Finally, after seven weeks of years, which is to say forty-nine years, the Jubilee was celebrated as a year of general forgiveness and “liberty throughout the land for all its inhabitants” (cf. Lev 25:10). This law came about as an attempt to ensure balance and fairness in their relationships with others and with the land on which they lived and worked. At the same time, it was an acknowledgment that the gift of the earth with its fruits belongs to everyone."
