Love Frisch's. I'm 76 and I have been going there since a kid. Especially remember the car hops and outside service. I hop they can make it. A true city landmark in Cincinnati.
They really don't talk about staffing also being an issue. If you can't even hire folks cause your rep as a shitty company you probably need to close a few stores to work on the few that actually don't have such issues
Former employee here: My last October there was bullshit. They cut my hours just enough so I couldn't maintain full time status. They then jumped at the chance to deny me health insurance. Once I decided "fine, I'll continue my college career," they blasted me with hours. Another point I'd like to make is that yeah, there are many stores that are "safe" and not on the eviction list, but those employees are bound to give this some thought

They won’t pay (nor) take care of the great workers. You get what you pay for. Low level management, unprofessional service in all dimensions. I’ve worked off and on for Frisch’s since I was 16 in (1989). There was a guy named Craig Meyer who owned this establishment. He had a different philosophy than the new owners that took over. In the last 15 years Frisch’s has been headed in the wrong direction. Quality service and food is not even a thought 💭 anymore. It’s about speed and hurrying up no matter what you have to do. If a customer has a question or issue, this new generation see’s them as an enemy; and not the customer is always right approach. I’m an old school Frisch’s cook. Very very good at what I learned down through the years; but because I spent time in prison I could never move up to management level, which would allow me to put together a winning team that other stores could model and bring Frisch’s back like Zack Taylor did for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021. I can do this for Frisch’s Big Boy if I had the opportunity. I sure hate to see Frisch’s go down the drain. Without quality food, and quality service, a car wash 🧼 will be more than happy to take over.
Can they just close them all now instead of killing me slowly with every closure? I'm going to miss my fish sandwich and onion ring order 3-4 times per year. That's all I ever got.
They are closing because the food isn’t good anymore. Have you eating there lately? Their fish sandwich is made of the same processed and pressed frozen fish squares like you buy at a grocery store and bake yourself. Chicken sandwiches are pressed chicken patties also. They need to get back to the way food used to be years ago. No one wants to pay $32.00 and a tip for something they could have fixed at home.
@24BEARCATS24 Yes it would be...would be great to get dessert of hot fudge cake or pumpkin pie or strawberry pie. Although I like Skyline having Cheesecake factory cheesecakes. Lol

Sadly, even the first location in Fairfax (The Mainliner) is getting shut down. Seems like it's over.
Good journalism on this story, concise and informative.

Aside from the eviction .. hoping they can make it ...
Improve the food ... We just aren't into the sub-par ... as if we wouldn't notice.

@DavidSmith-ot3hs explains a lot. Gross indeed!!
They're all gonna be gone. If the Mainliner can't survive, none of them can. All of my Frisch's in Dayton are now gone.
Frisch's has the best tartar sauce, ranch dressing and pumpkin pie..
How horrible for Frisch's
Dr. Evil kept going into space with the mascot statue. Duh.
What bs they'll probably just be Haitian stores in the end paying twice as much rent.
I was just getting ready to do a video on David frischs and his restaurant's.This is kind of sad to see.
Is FRISCHS also called BIG BOYS? I’ve seen that statue holding a burger at Big Boys when I was a kid in the 70s.
big boy was the national chain, frisch was the local franchisee
@@razziade Bobs Big Boy in California.. still thriving
Big Boy is the brand. I grew up with Elby's which was a Big Boy chain.
I know from speaking with employees that the Glenway rd. location closed partially due to constant harassment from Western Hills students.
Like most restaurants they became dirty inside and out and the food became disgustingly bad.
Private equity is the problem.
They are not worth a d anymore. Usualy goes right to the trash with whichever one I go to..

Private Equity company with unsustainable profit plans, gotta love it.
I worked for this company for over 10 years at the Burlington location. I hope that location closes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Goodbye Big Boy.
I will host a mourning ceremony in 2025

It would be great if Skyline would buy Frisch's
A 3 Way and an Big Boy at the same place. Good idea.

Easy. Slow service, below avg food quality and very expensive.
