Could I use 4mm fire polish instead of bicones across the top? I find that the bicones sometimes dig into my neck & aren't comfortable.

Would it be useful reinforcing that middle pearl or not necessary and not worth the time and thread. I made the crazy for pearls necklace a while back and this is just as beautiful.
