    Great Job!
I am privileged to live across the creek and enjoy the sounds of the primates.

Great job caring for all of these various species of abandoned & abused primates. Their diet looks yummy & I like they have lots of toys.

Those chimps should be moved to one of the large sanctuaries where they have acreage to roam and way less cages.

I would love to dedicate my life to caring for them you are so lucky but truthfully I wish there wasn't a need for places like this meaning they aren't stolen from their homes

I feel as though these enclosures are a little small considering this is a sanctuary and not a zoo.
It seems you have a lot of property, why not extend these areas for them or let them live free within walls

They're primates, walls wouldn't hold them. A monkey can walk up a wall like spiderman.

Yep way too small still cruel how they are held but at least better but wow it always gets easier better from the worse… who argues like that is an idiot

Why has your great vid "In their own Words- the sad story of pet primates" disappeared from UA-cam and I can not find it on this site either ?

Your enclosures are extremely unnatural and cramped... far more so than any accredited zoo. You should be placing these animals in facilities that are built to handle them.

    • @davidchristensen6908
      @davidchristensen6908 6 років тому +1

Max Pulsinelli from this little video how could you come to the conclusion the cages are inadequate? You have a degree in this area or just an Google accredited animal expert? We are really n shown much just a few screen shots of some cages. There is not enough video here to draw any conclusions.

I live in Kentucky and did not know there was a primate rescue in Kentucky, It's against the law to own a primate in this state where are you located at I would love to volunteer

This cage is way too small. You rescued them from small cages only to put them in a larger one. They have no trees to climb, no room for ropes from which to swing. Glad you're there but the enclosure is cramped. Do you need more funding? Perhaps you should reconsider not allowing guests. It would be instructional for children. Charging a fee would give more funds to improve their habitat. The monkeys shouldn't be sitting looking out of wire all day long.

I feel you aren’t listening to their mandate. I’m sure they regularly try and raise funds to make larger cages but the sheer number means do you turn away monkeys needing to live there or do you make some concessions. You’re saying the cages are small but they don’t have people in because it is damaging to these abused monkeys.

I would love to take one in and foster it. I am in a legal state for new world monkeys. I have the know how, ( experience) . I would volunteer my time but live to far away. If you ever need a home for one that needs special care. Let me know. What you are doing is great. People have to be educated before they get a monkey as a pet. It is a life long commitment.

How on earth did the owner manage to own 5 chimps in Georgia I thought that was illegal, I imagine it would be pretty hard to hide 5 chimps how did you come to find them I am curious.

Have you been living under a rock??????? It is NOT illegal! Thats the problem! THAT is how these sanctuaries are packed to the gills!!

I believe that all primates that have self awareness, culture, and long life spans should have not only God given rights, but also have constitutionally protected rights. Make hunting, capturing and/or poaching primates close to being just as illegal as doing these things to humans. That would definitely down the rate of orphaned gorillas, chimpanzees, bonobos, etc.
However, conservation and sanctuaries are multi-million dollar industries and there are people who make an extreme amount of money and many whose livelihoods depend on a steady flow of orphaned primates coming into many sanctuaries.

How wonderful! In Madison, Wisconsin we are having a huge problem. The University of Wi. in Madison. is fostering investigations by a science dept. in order to make baby monkeys rippered from their mothers at birth--investigate their first year with invasive procedures, slaughter the babes at one year. This in the name of maternal deprivation and anxiety effects on the brain of monkeys. They have had virtually no usefull results in decades-doubtfull there will ever ever transfer help to humans. The monkeys continue death, Can you think of anything to help them and us?

The only answer is going vegan and advocating for animal rights.
