@danisland yeah and I felt a little lost when the game ended and we got no update beyond the post credits. Loved the game but that was a little disappointing to be left to imagine what happened
1:00 another example of this could be later in the game also with ashley when she's alone in the sewer after being abandoned by sam and the group and she "hears jessica" there, and the game gives you the option to return to the group or investigate "the voice" depending on your choices, if her CURIOUS trait is too low, the game will lock the INVESTIGATE VOICE option, while if her CURIOUS trait is high, she will be able to investigate the voice honestly if they only added this new system to the game it would already make the game 1000x better, because your choices in the game would genuinely feel like they matter, since you can unlock new patches of the story depending on your choices
THIS IS SO GENIUS. i love this specific example! especially because having it locked might make players feel like "ooh, dang it, it's locked so it must be a good choice!" (but we know better.. 🪦)
I think the "locked choice" idea would take away the game's idea of making the players choose their own decisions. They would have to have alternate choices instead.@@danisland
I thought it would always be cool if Beth dropped Hannah then Hannah would die and Beth would be the Wendigo, but if they fall together then Beth dies and Hannah becomes the Wenidgo. That way they don’t have to rework the entire story and Beth’s decisions actually have an impact
i’ve always wanted them to add a path where you save josh. my suggestion is: if sam escapes the psycho and finds all the clues leading to him being josh, she will feel know about his struggles and feel really bad for him and won’t leave him and mike behind in the mines. this way, when hannah attacks mike and josh, sam can protect josh and if you get all the choices and qtes right in that scene, josh gets to live.
Something that I think would be cool is something like the Curator's Cut from the Dark Pictures Anthology where you get to watch new scenes from different perspectives while also having the chance for 2 players being able to play at the same time if there's enough scenes going on at the same time.
@@TotalyNotTony that would be INSANELY cool!! Imagine playing as Emily having to talk Mike into not shooting you, Jess as she’s being dragged away, Ash when Chris has the gun, etc. that’s an amazing idea
@@danisland Maybe there could be some playable Josh segments during the first half too, if these scenes are only revealed to one player than it could definitely work on a first playthrough as long as they don't share too much information. @@TotalyNotTony Josh segments is a GENIUS idea. I would LOVE to play as him from his POV as he's like orchestrating the prank--we could really see what all goes into it!

I would love to see them slightly change different choices especially when you are trying to survive. This would be nice to all the people who love the game and who are playing the remake not automatically knowing what decisions to make to keep everyone alive. Gosh, I really hope they add some of this. ALOT of these are excellent ideas. Especially the choice lock or extra scenes/scenarios depending on character traits/relationships. But something like multi-player like in The Dark Pictures Anthology (awesome as it is) could never work properly cause most would still be playing as Mike & Jess while those playing as Matt & Emily would long since be done with their segment.
