only thing i would have done different, would been treat the the rust with phosporic acid and paint it before filling the holes. there is no product that can adhere and protect well all in the same time.. you always need undercoat for adhesion and overcoat for protection.
I agree, that would be a better long term solution. but it took the van 45 yrs to get to this point anything is better than nothing. this should buy it another 10 😆
For the amount of effort you’re going to you better off to cut the screen out and do it properly as the way your doing it will only last so long before it rusts out even more all depends on how much you love the car what I’d do is weld a flat panel over the wiper box vent completely block it off no water 💦 no rust after it’s been welded up properly and painted then remove the heater box and any other stuff that’s not needed and put a under dash ac unit custom mounted to the dash …. But I suppose with that old rusting shitbox anything goes 😂😂😂😂😂
yep, there's the I'm never gonna get it done route and the I'm driving it to town in an hr route. all depends on how much time and effort you wanna put into it
