Garfield: The Movie: Amtrak Train Scene (Trainz remake)

- I rarely make Trainz videos outside ROHV anymore, but I felt like remaking the scene in The Garfield Movie (2004) where Garfield sneaks into the dispatch office at the train station to stop the train Happy Chapman is riding to rescue Odie from him. It was fairly easy since the only consists I needed were some Amtrak Phase IV Dash 8s and some Superliners, but the part with the trains all stopping at about the same moment required multiple takes to get it right.
I know it's just a movie, but it's still mind-boggling how:
-The control room at the train station is what controls the trains and not just the switches, signals, and stuff.
-Just how many Dash 8s appeared together in the same scenes (the only other locomotives like the F40PH and F59PHI appeared on the monitors inside the office).
-That all of the Amtrak trains here only have a baggage car and three Superliners (and I found it funny how the 'New Amsterdam Limited' was running with Superliners since in real life, they're too tall for New York Penn Station).
Also, while the movie was ostensibly set in the Midwest, it was actually filmed in Los Angeles (just like the Terminator movies). The actual footage in this scene was shot around LAUPT.

Fun Fact: Some of the F40PH scenes were stock footage used in Pentrex and deleted scenes from There Goes a Train.

Man the dispatchers desk in the movie is so inaccurate. Hey we may have found the cause why Amtrak trains is late. So if you're Amtrak train is late, you can blame it on Garfield.
Why? I have a friend who works on railroad but he's Russian.
@@s71402san very late but the dispatch scene is literally like a giant Model Railroad Table to control Model Trains, in real life you can't control the speed of the train, you cant stop it, reverse it, or make the train go faster literally by pressing buttons and push/pull a lever in a dispatch room.
Yes, full size remote control train do exist but only for yard switching, not main line work "I think"

Movie effects. A lot times in movies, they'll dub in fake sfx. A lot of times to avoid legal issues.

Just wait until there was a version of this where the trains failed to stop in time and they all collide into each other, explosions and all.
Explosion is pretty much a typical Hollywood movie when they mostly don't know how train physics works

_Completely frantic and confused as to how he's meant to stop the collision, he spots a big red button like the one Sir Roland pushed in at the animal pound. He then jumps on that button as quickly as possible. In the process of doing that, he not only stopped the entire collision sequence, but also stopped dozens of other trains that were heading outbound, out of Los Angeles, thus causing major disruptions in rail travel as a whole. He doesn't seem to care though..._

Neither is the guy who was there before Garfield. He left without waiting for someone else to relieve him. Then again, Garfield wouldn't have been able to save Odie had he done so.
