- This is a compelete guide how to do it yourself installing paddle shifter on 2019 Mazda CX-5 [KF] and also work for 2018 & 2020.
I bought the paddle shifter from local buyer in Indonesia.

Excellent video! I managed to install them on a '16 CX-9. I connected the cables the opposite way of yours and added another couple of cables on the bottom of the steering wheel as per the instructions showed on a different Mazda model
Did you use the wheel’s original harness or did you also get the other harness? From what I understand the 6 and CX-9 share the same steering wheel

Al final parece que ahora en el modelo KF la manguera solo viene con dos cables. Según los Chinos.
He pedido la pieza y dentro de un mes en cuanto llegue a España lo intentaré montar. Y de todas formas gracias ya que el vídeo me ha ayudado a decidirme a hacerlo yo mismo.
Yes, for KF model there is just adding 3 cable for paddle shifrer (in minute 4:50), it is much simpler than previous model. Hope you enjoy the installation for your car :)

Por cierto Ariyanto aquí en España el modelo 2020 ya sale con las levas en el volante, por fin Mazda se actualiza con sus otros modelos, y con otros detalles más como pantalla de 8 pulgadas, head display en el parabrisas y posibilidad de tapicería en cuero y tela combinada.
Nice... the 2020 version in Indonesia also already had paddle shifter, camera 360 & apple car play.
Muy buen vídeo y claro. Lo único que que no se ve bien es en donde se han de conectar los cables, seria bueno un esquema y saber si el vehículos lleva o no cruise control, porque creo que en el modelo antiguo eso influía para la conexión de los cables e incluso había que conectar otros cables por dentro de la columna de dirección. Pero sin duda un excelente vídeo. Gracias.

Yes my car have cruise control & it is different from old model. The 2019 model is much simple & there is only 1 connector (not like the old model) so there no room for mistake. I made this video because i can't find the tutorial for the new model on youtube, only for the old model. I hope this will help :)

Where are you supposed to put the wires from the paddle shifter? Others may vary? Surely you're not suggesting to just plug them in anywhere?

Ayer me llegaron las levas del volante. Los chinos me han enviado las dos mangueras de cables, como si fuera para el modelo anterior al KF y unas fotos de un vídeo que anda por internet de la instalación en el modelo anterior. Una pregunta ¿cuando cambias con las levas en posición de automático hace el cambio de velocidad y a los pocos segundos si no tocas nada vuelve a la posición de Automático o se queda en manual el cambio? y otra más ¿ cuando llevas el control de crucero puedes cambiar con las levas y luego que pasa se mantiene la velocidad anterior que llevabas? Gracias de antemano

Cambian en todas las situaciones posibles: En Manual, en automático, en Sport y con el control de crucero activado, aunque no me he fijado muy bien creo que cambian a partir de unos 10 km por hora pero tendría que confirmarlo.
A los pocos segundos unos 5 aproximadamente si no aceleras o cambias de nuevo, vuelve a su estado anterior respetando la marcha según la velocidad y según este en Automático, Sport o Manual, en Control de Crucero debes de pulsarlo de nuevo ya que se queda como inhibido (icono en blanco no en verde).
Las mías llevan el +/Off y si mantienes esta leva apretada unos tres segundos cancela y vuelve a su estado anterior como cuando pasan esos 5 segundos sin tocar nada. En mi coche modelo 2,5 G Zenith no había ningún hueco libre en el primer conector de la columna de dirección por lo que solo he conectado los tres cables en el conector de volante como hiciste tú.

Yes, if we still in D (Drive) mode, it will return to full automatic after few second if we not shift the gear via paddle shifter. To turn it into full manual mode, we must shift to M (Manual) mode.
