I love that you show us the differences between the machines
At least for the magnetic hoop for the PE900 I bought both a 5x7 hoop and 4x4 hoop on Amazon for mine and they work great. So you can still have that.
Just wanted to add that Artspira app and Brother PE 900 also supports DST embroidery files. When converting a digital image to DST, I've found it better because you can add trim stitches which the Brother PE 900 can utilize the auto jump stitch function. PES embroidery files do not support trim stitches!
So which machine you recommend for me lol, just kidding. I have the SE600, and once I reach a certain level might upgrade next year.
Please do baby onesies would love to see that. That is something I want to try, but but have not did it yet, and really want to. Have everything to start, just have to do it.

If I have brother Skitch, I can create completley custom design (not collage work) but my own image custom design and transfer it to the machine for free?
Also does it come with a computer software to create the design? and then I use the free mobile app to operate the file?
Or I need to buy a software to custom design stuff? if so is it a monthly thing? or one time payment?
They finally released the Skitch in Europe, got mine about 9 seconds later. Big thing for me is that with the app you can rotate the design and your fabric so it's on the table not rolled up in the throat. The second thing you find out right away is that the hoop size massively limits the number of designs available from the app, I'm not even bothering with the trial. Saying that though, sorry, I absolutely love the way the app works with the hoop and the recolouring your designs feature and I'm not sure I'd want to do without it now.
Those are really nice features indeed and already commonly available on many embroidery machines that don't require the Artspira app to operate. Just to clarify for anyone reading these comments and doing research... The ability to rotate / move around designs and changing thread color in the design itself can be accomplished in a few different ways - within the Artspira app, through the PE900 onboard functions (on the machine itself), or with Embrilliance Essentials software.
@@SewingReport I don't know how available it is in the US but we have something in the UK called Marmite and it's the most divisive foodstuff we have (other than what to call bread rolls and how to pronounce scone) and the absolutely accurate 'you either love it or you hate it' line was used in the early 1900s. Today we don't bother with the line and would just say 'the Skitch is Marmite'. I love it because it's like controlling something using a star trek hand held device, others will hate it for that exact same reason.
I love the idea of the Skitch, will I be able to add a larger frame, and if I can’t how can I make a larger design? For example the mama block letters and the Nike ones on a Skitch with a 4x4?
Will either work on upholstery leather?
Thanks for sharing this info Jen. I'm kind of worried about buying a used machine because you have to hope that it works, then if you have to have it repaired it could cost a bit of money.
Understandable. I believe on the Brother PE800/PE900 you can check the lifetime stitch count.

I'd personally be looking for people selling machines that are either new in box or very low usage hours on them. When I see them for sale, the condition is usually pretty easy to tell just from looking at the photos. Before shelling over the cash, make sure you can plug it in and test out the machine.

Can other embroidery hoops be used on the PE 900 I have a SE 725 would you recommend getting the PE900?
No. You have to get the pe770/800/900 or se1900/2000/2100 for the 5x7in hoop, which is the next size up from your 4x4in se725. Those are in the $1,000 range. Next would be the 6x10in brother nq1600/1700 in the $1,600-$2,000 range.
How do the two machines compare for thread changes ie threading the needle? Do either machine have a needle threader attachment? If a design has 5 colors, do the machines have a multiple spool holder?
They both have a built-in needle threader and changing out thread is about the same. No to the multiple spool holder, that's a feature found in commercial multi-needle embroidery machines.
