She sang this on stage once that I recall. I believe it was on Mother's Day. It was beautiful. They are such a close family. He parents til this day hardly miss one of her concerts. He dad still can be seen filming her on his phone. Truly proud parents. He also hands out guitar picks with her photo on them to fans and Mama Swift exchanges friendship bracelets.
She played it once during the Fearless tour I think (I think they show it in Journey to Fearless) and she also played it as a surprise song on Mother’s Day in 2023, on piano. Love it. 😊
The way i cry 90% of the time i listen to this song, it's ridiculous now
Taylor's parents, one or the other are always with her when she is touring and at her concerts. Her brother's name is Austin and he is an actor/producer.
There is another song dedicated to her mom, when she had cancer. Song name is soon you'll get better. Taylor sang it once for the recording and never again, as it was a painful time for her family.
She did ONE live performance, I think it was for a tiny desk performance or something similar, and had a hard time keeping her voice steady.

Taylor made the original music video for this, it was also full of clips from her childhood with her mother. She said that she made it in secret and then showed it to her mother as a surprise and unsurprisingly, she was absolutely bawling.
The Best Day as a song is mildly emotional, but I can't even deal with this music video. Her relationship with her mother is absolutely beautiful, she has described her multiple times as being her best friend. When it gets to the end and shows grown up Taylor with her older mother I just lose it, it's beautiful but so bittersweet

Great reaction to Taylor's beautiful song and video. Thank you both. This song was done as a surprise for Taylor's mom for Mother's Day one year. I love how close they are as a family. I'm sure that their love has helped Taylor get through some of the awful stuff that has come her way in the music industry and in her personal life.
I danced to this song with my dad at my wedding because it encompasses my family so well. Now my mom has alzheimers and this song hit me hard. Im bawling right now.

As others have said she has another for her mum, it's really sad but it is a lovely song. even if you don't react on here, its still worth a listen.

As I clicked on this reaction video, I already had a tear in my eye 😢...at the end my face was awash in tears 😭 and I needed to wipe my nose. I think they were mostly happy tears, but there were a few sad ones mixed in too, thinking about how Taylor invited her friends to the mall and they each had a reason why they couldn't go...so Taylor went to the mall with her mom...and saw her friends were there without her. So, her mom took her elsewhere and Taylor had the best day with her. ❤✌️
