Hello Emily, I just discovered your video while doing Glaucoma research. I am 70 years old and was diagnosed with glaucoma when I was 39. I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with this condition at such a young age. You mentioned consuming coffee and energy drinks in your video. I am sure you know that caffeine can increase eye pressure. My ophthalmologist said one or two cups a day should be OK for me. You may want to talk to you ophthalmologist to see what they have to say. We have to be real careful about eating properly (getting plenty of leafy green vegetables like kale and certain fruits like berries) to get the right nutrients for our eyes and we need to get enough exercise to help keep the pressure down. This condition creeps up on us little by little without really noticing it on a daily basis. So we need to take care of ourselves as best as possible. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. I hope you had a great trip!
I'm sad that you have to quit your job, but am so happy that you're getting so much closer to achieving your education goals! Also, super happy for you regarding the personal life update.
Emily, I love your spirit and how much you embrace life. You're a brave soul and I wish you the very best.
