Thanks for this list Klayton! I was wanting to make a recreation of Hammond's Jurassic Park in the Sandbox mode of Evolution, so this helps a lot in figuring out which dinos I should pick!
Damn, the fact that we COULD have seen dinosaurs like Baryonyx or Herrerasaurus back in 1993 is extremely frustrating considering the fact we had to wait 25 years for the Barry and are still waiting for Herrera, Proceratosaurus and all the other dinos on the list.
I personally believe that Jurassic Park Europe would probably have been located on the Isle of Wight in England. The Isle of Wight is after all known as the "Jurassic Island" for it's rich fossil beds of Jurassic and Cretaceous Dinosaurs. It is worth noting that Baryonyx, Metriacanthosaurus and Proceratosaurus are all British Dinosaurs, so it would make some sense for them to be a part of the park. Britain is also where dinosaurs were first discovered and identified, so with that rich history, I feel that the Isle of Wight would be an ideal location for Jurassic Park Europe.
mr bojangles I’m from Portsmouth, and have actually been to the Isle of Wight dinosaur museum. Personally, I would love to have a dinosaur park near where I live
And due to it being near a populated city, it could be an ideal place for a Jurassic park to be located, and could MAYBE be cheaper as you wouldn’t have to pay for hotels on the Jurassic park property and as we all know theme park hotels are hella expensive
I definitely think they would have divided the dinosaurs they cloned on Sorna between several different islands. The number of Tyrannosaurs on Sorna alone suggests there were going to be multiple parks, since the JP exhibit was built to only house 2 and we know that at least 3-4 were cloned as far as hard film canon goes (7 if you count trespasser)
Also note that Troodon-pectinodon was created in Dr.Sorkin's Field Lab and not in the main JP genetics facility so further reason it wouldn't show up in further data.
I'd say they'd have definitely divvied up the Site B animals to all of the other planned parks. And they would probably have some species uniquely exhibited at each park too, something to entice the tourists to visit each of the Jurassic properties perhaps?
Granted, there's always differences between the book and the films, but if we go by the original novel, then dinosaurs like Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus (reportedly replacing Apatosaurus in some versions), Callovosaurus, (replacing Microceratus in some versions) Dryosaurus, Euoplocephalus, Hadrosaurus, Maiasaura, Microceratus (called "Microceratops"), Othnielia, Procomsognathus, and Styracosaurus might have been planned for the park at some point (or even the expansions), since they were part of the original 15 genera already in the park in the novel (including the pterosaur Cearadactylus). We might also consider Coelurus (mentioned as an unhatched, "possible Coelurosaurus" in the first novel) as a definite for the Isla Nublar park, while Carnotaurus, Hypsilophodon, Mussaurus, and Pachycephalosaurus from the second novel could have been possible attractions at Nublar or the other parks Hammond planned.
I think JP itself would have been his melting pot, where any and all species would be shown at some point or another. The rest may have been a showcase of their BEST (more visually appealing and modified) animals from those specific areas for educational purposes as well as tourism for people to see these amazing animals in their best light. Spare no expense.
Yeah, these dinosaurs were going to be in Jurassic Park, but the park was barely finished at the time when it was under construction. Baryonyx could have been in the first movie, and Segisaurus, as well as Herrerasaurus, Tylosaurus could have been cool to see, including Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, and Troodon.
5:09 I honestly thought you were going to mention the voice over quote of Hammond stating that “...more adventurous guests can opt for our Jungle River Cruise or for a close-up look at our majestic winged dinosaurs...” because I never noticed that still of the aviary behind him.
My only problem with the canon list is it seems like there's too many carnivores. I prefer it better when they make it more natural with a ton of herbivores and only a few carnivores.
Nublar also seemed to have a wild population of Compsognathus, believe they are in the novel and make a few appearances in the Telltale game like in the Visitor Center when Oscar and Yoder arrive, when they are trying to start up the chopper a few run out from the trees as the Rex approaches, and Harding even mentions small dinosaur tracks are likely of Compsognathus when they make a campfire to rest
The events taking place in the book were quite different then the movie presented. It be more Cerebral and in construction. Though the dinos were abit more added to the list. All and all, i loved this :) Great job! :)
To quote Malcolm on the ambitions of Hammond and InGen, "Genetic power is the most awesome force the planet's ever seen and you wield it like a kid who's found his father's gun."
Well, if that’s the case, then I’m sure glad that they weren’t in the movie because Jurassic Park received three Oscars instead of the one that it would’ve received

I think that ingen used sorna as a practice site, they perfected and observed dinos there and the ones which were made perfectly were transported to nublar but later they left it to its fate
two things to say here. 1: I love InGen's list for the park, though personally if I could, I would have added something along the lines of the Oviraptor as n attraction. 2:hey, Klayton will you do a wishlist for JW Evolution like what dino's you'd personally love to see? i'm very curious
If I could add one more dinosaur to this list. It would be styracasaurus (in-gen level spelling) because it was in the novels and it was the first ceratopsian I ever heard of.
Frankly, I think you should have mentioned Compsognathus' appearance in the Telltale game. Since it was shown to be on InGen's list, I think it would have been worth mentioning whenever you brought up Jurassic Park: The Game.
I could see other parks having different Dino's in their exhibits to make each unique. You can see it with the different Disney parks and Busch gardens parks.
Them JP3 style Pteranodons where probably be cloned along with the normal ones (aka TLW ones) however considering the dangerous behaviors they would probably be kept in quarantine, in favour of more docile ones, plus Tylosaurus & other marine animals would have probably be for phase two.
Back when Jurassic Park came out they had dinosaurs/prehistoric reptiles that never made it in the JP1 movie. But along with them & the die-cast metal miniatures were trading collector's cards that had some of the canon on the back plus some fantastic art including the raft scene in the book which back then would have been hard to transfer to live action. I recall even the paddock scene for the Rex was hard due to the animatronic Rex would have to be dried for the water would cause the prop to shudder which would have been noticed upon release of the movie in theaters.
There was supposed to be an Aviary in the original JP. The game Jurassic World Evolution's extra content has a file on it, saying that the Aviary was built but not complete

Klayt-don... You've done it again! :D I trust you too have a repro of the brochure. ;) They would heve needed a lot of herbivores for their jungle river cruise, for the original park.
Great video. When I was in the 6th grade in 2011 I really got into dinosaurs, after watching the Jurassic Park trilogy before I even heard they were making a Jurassic World, I made a list of animals I would house if I had my own Jurassic Park. I even made the novel and film version of Isla Nublar's map with my own dinosaurs. And here it is. Tyrannosaurus rex Velociraptor Pteranodon Ankylosaurus Apatosaurus Edmontosaurus annectens Iguanodon Maiasaura Pachycephalosaurus Pachyrhinosaurus Parasaurolophus Stegosaurus Torosaurus And Triceratops
If you remember in the book towards the end Grant and the kids went on a raft and went through the aviary which had vicious animals inside. This seen was cut from the movie.
Don't forget the San Diego arena-style park. There was concept art and a model featured in The Lost World that probably dated back to around the same time, or maybe earlier than the Nublar plans. That might give a pretty clear indication as to which species were intended for display there (and perhaps not on Nublar).
As a kid I was wondering endlessly about which other dino's were roaming around Isla Nublar. All those species they could have encountered if they had gone to different parts of the island...
How do you keep banging out such consistently strong content? Plus you do it do regularly!? These videos have gotten me through my degree, every morning I wake up eagerly checking for a new video!
So Hammond wanted Jurassic Park to go global, now we are in a literal Jurassic World. I guess his dream did get fulfilled, just not the way he intended.
Ingen would have been wise to Start the park out with some nice herbivores. Im talking gallis, trikes, stegos, brachis, meminchis, dryos, pachys, styracos, corythos, paras, etc. A few compys and maybe just one raptor would've been fine aswell, but nothing too big. Also, add another, entirely different section of the park for carns. Something far away from the vistor bunker with only a few guests at time. Where you can keep the raptors, rex, barys and allos all with very heavy fortified fences.
Stegosaurus probably would have been an easy addition to the Brachiosaurus/Parasaurolophus paddock to reinforce it as an open range safari type exhibit. Jurassic Park/World are at their heart still a zoo, so you would add one species at a time to a large mixed species exhibit. Essentially Brachiosaurus would be Elephants, Paras as Hoofstock, and Stegosaurus as White Rhino in this analogy. Triceratops being a much more aggressive Black Rhino analog that does better exhibited by itself.
What i would have liked to have seen was a 3d tour of the park. Maybe a VR set up where we could actually see the parks and how they were supposed to look.
I believe that each of the species listed in the brochure and in the Embryo Chamber were intended for use in the Nublar resort. I think that being the showman that he was, Hammond would have had some Main Attraction species (T-Rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus) at each inclination of new resorts, but would have definitely brought in new species whose DNA or history suggested they lived in that particular part of the world. Species more common to mainland Europe for example. Jurassic Park China would have had some of the species located in that vicinity and the other resorts could probably have cross-promotional Special Exhibits where they swapped 'Native' species between the two Parks, to garner more interest. This is assuming Hammond would have actually built facilities on the mainland, which would have a heightened security risk associated with such a venture. If he kept the resorts confined to nearby islands, Hammond could even get away with featuring species from nearby continents, depending on the island's location. Now what would be really amusing is if the 'Jurassic Park' Theme Resort franchise came under Social Media scrutiny in the present day, for not catering to the whims of specific Ideologies and mindsets... Exactly how far would InGen's Marketing Teams / Board of Directors go to bend to all corners of the Global Market?
What are the odds of you being able to release an unofficial Book? Like a Jurassic park universe companion encyclopaedia? Can Jack Ewins pull some strings? I honestly believe that if you started a kickstarter campaign, the fan base is now united (and big enough) to support you! The Jurassic fan base feels stronger than ever right now!
Hey Klayton. Where do you think the Hammond and InGen would have built J.P Europe? I recon another island for safety, e.g. Britain, or in the Mediterranean, so it would be nice and warm for the dinosaurs. Idea for a future video maybe... Keep up the good work mate!
It's hard to say what dinosaurs and creatures may have eventually been added to Nublar or at other foreign locations. I am sure there are species on Sorna that may be too risky or unpredictable to exhibit such as the Carnotaurus with their camouflage ability, unless it would be used as part the attraction. The Velociraptors would be a challenge too with the novel's interpretation of them not having intact social pack behaviors and would be more aggressive to each other. For places like in Europe I wouldn't be surprised if they would have attempted to add animals that would have originally lived there or may be able to live in the modern climate and environment conditions within the area of the park and may save InGen some trouble and money if they don't have to adjust the park's terrain and the conditions of the paddocks as well as not needing to adjust or modify the animals' biological characteristics any further than what was original cloned.
Now this is just my opinion, but I believe that the animals on Site B in 1997 was intended for the phase 2 part of Isla Nublar. As for Jurassic Europe and Asia only certain animals would have been re-shown at this parks while the rest of those islands would feature animals from those areas.
My favorite dinosaur is the Brachiosaurus the tyrannosaurus Rex dilophosaurus and the chart on Don's from Jurassic world and the baryonyx and the suchomimus
Yay, the little raptor is back in the intro.... Any worldwide JP's would have to be in warmer climates so the UK is out. Probably Spaun or Portugal for Europe.
I think that they would have divided the Dinosaurs on Isla Sorna all over the World to different Jurassic Park Resort Islands. In the first book itself, it described Hammond as already beginning construction on at least two other islands, and although Isla Nublar was the crown of his achievements, Franchise Theme Parks never put all of their attractions in every park they make. Theme parks, like The Disney World/Land Theme Parks (although having some of their more popular attractions in more than one of their parks) usually divide their more different and unique attractions over their different location parks. Ingen would have done the same with the Jurassic Park's. Different attractions, or in this case animals, in different parks around the world uses the same technique that Disney does: It makes sure that all the parks are unique, and it makes guests who visit one park, and like what they see, but want to see more, go to one of the other parks on another island somewhere else in the world, and Pay to get into that one, so they can have more fun, and see some more (and this time, different) Dinosaurs. So that is my long way of explaining what would have happened to the huge, and diverse, group of Dinosaurs on Isla Sorna, and why.
Nothing makes you more excited besides seeing what you love than seeing what you love and that also is where your from... Jurassic Park Europe would be a success if it had a few worldly famous creatures, like one tyrant from the T-Rex family, but also had "geological exclusive assets", creatures that are only there to be found in the fossil record. Concavenator would receive more love and publicity in its own country for example, than being in Brazil for example. People from the location would praise it even more. I would love to see something like this in some form. Maybe not in a park, but since the genetic technology is out there since Fallen Kingdom... Why stop with what has already been cloned?
I believe the other ones would have made their way to Nublar eventually in waves. You need to people to want to come again and again. Adding new species when you see a decline in interest might help it spike back up. For a zoo, births of baby's can do this too, but that was supposedly impossible so new species was the only way. Also it makes sense to have some exclusive and region specific species in different parks so people would to visit them all. A megalosaurus, polocanthus and iguanodon for Europe, Asian park with tarbo, mamenchi, therizino and sinoseratops. Also, wider moats ;-) and feed the carnivores herbi's to hunt or scavenge depending on the species.

I think that all this information is very interesting and i think they would spread the dinosaurs all over the different parks.
How do you keep banging out such consistently strong content? Plus you do it do regularly!? These videos have gotten me through my degree, every morning I wake up eagerly checking for a new video!
I hope Jurassic world 3 will include a few of them.
Imagine if we saw some of these other dinosaurs on the big screen except Baryonx and Tylosaurus because we all ready have a Mosasaurid.
Awesome! But again, the comment section says there's like 4 comments when there's 11. And also, 4 views, 19 likes.
So Hammond wanted Jurassic Park to go global, now we are in a literal Jurassic World. I guess his dream did get fulfilled, just not the way he intended.
Another great video!
Ingen would have been wise to
Start the park out with some nice herbivores.
Jurassic Park Australia
no
Why would you put killer animals in a place where there are already killer animals.
@@mame9562 more chances of survival?
In the new Jurassic World, I love to see a *Suchomimus*
Hey Klayton. Where do you think the Hammond and InGen would have built J.P Europe?
I recon another island for safety, e.g. Britain, or in the Mediterranean, so it would be nice and warm for the dinosaurs.
Idea for a future video maybe...
Keep up the good work mate!
Love these vids:)
Isnt the Tylosaur at the Underwater Cave by the North Dock?
Certain species may have been "timed exclusives" from one park to another, but i doubt they would have outright denied them access at any park
InGen: The troodons are too dangerous for the park
*has dilophasaurus and raptor enclosures*
Troodon’s are FAR WORSE than Raptors and Dilos. They made a frickin nest out often Ingen mercenary!
