Holy Crap, your timing for this video is impeccable, just got mine on the biggest lucky move as there were no EUV's to be had in Central Texas and someone backed out and got mine 12/1 and literally was scouring amazon for add on backing lights when I came across your vid, I side hustle doing Amazon and the amount of times I back up are 20 to 30 times a route and this is a HUGE MUST HAVE, Thank you !!!
did it, just how you showed and it was super super easy, they are def super bright, took a video in day light and they could be seen big time even at 4pm
Other people, maybe even you, might want to try Diode Dynamics 921 lamps. These are designed and made in the USA, and cost a lot!!! The difference is 720 lumens nominal output per bulb, so you get what you pay for. I don’t get kickbacks, I’m just a car owner, and I like USA made stuff. FYI- Cree LEDs are USA made, but then used by every Chinese flashlight manufacturer there is. 🇺🇸
Thanks for the video! For some reason one of my bulb housings won’t drop out after twisting - it’s loose but gets hung up as if the housing is malformed and won’t ever align to drop out :(
@@randyhughes430 sorry to hear you have the issue also. My plan is to ask the service manager to try replace it when I take it in for its first tire rotation coming up in 1500 more miles. But please let me know if you figure out a way to somehow get it out!
@@randyhughes430 wow that's steep?! I just got my EUV back from it's 1st service - the ev tech was super friendly and changed my reverse light for free while it was on the lift when rotating the tires. Also got him to apply fix TSB 22-NA-024 to stop the front grill low frequency fluttering/hum at highway speeds. And he's going to replace my illuminated charge port because it's really loose from the initial (crappy) install and the orange cap won't click closed. So far I have lucked out with this dealership. The sales people here seem the usual sketchy type lol. I only used them to host my swap from a 2019 BoltEV into a 2023 EUV due to lemmon law / battery recall.
I honestly do not know, as I rarely use the rearview mirror camera, but I going to try it when it's dark out as I know what you are referring to as I have seen the flicker when cameras look at LED generated light

Just did this today on my 2023 Bolt EV. Thanks for the tip!!!
Admire your ability to hold the camera and do the work!

Worked great! Thanks

mine is the same way. I can get one out, the other not so easy.

@@randyhughes430did you ever figure out how to get your other bulb out? Thanks
@@sbroumley No, I took it to the stealership and was $80 to put them in, lol. However they work awesome.

Do we have a link where we could find them please
A link to the lights is in the video description
Same access for the brake and turn signals?
Wonder if it's the same process for the Bolt EV? I'm assuming no screws had to be remove to pop the rear bumper cover off? Just prey tools?
No tools at all, it is wide open underneath
There are two screws to remove on my 2023 Bolt EV to gain access to the bulbs. Pretty straightforward to remove.
I clicked on the link. I added my vehicle Chevy Bolteuv 2023 model. It said that it doesn't fit. Any thoughts?
It says the same when I look as well, but I can tell you they do fit and are installed and in use currently on my car
@@practicallyfrugal yup, they work. They are bright!!
Would've been easier with a "before and after" part as well.
Anyway, Thank You.
No resistor?
None required with this bulb
Doesn’t the rear mirror camera flash with the led lights in reverse

I don't see any sort of flickering in the back up mirror
