I just got an idea from a redditor on how to save Cartoon Network. They could always copy Adult Swim’s strategy of streaming on their website. Just like old times, they could keep a solid schedule of their current shows with weekly premieres. Without even showing Cartoonito or Adult Swim or commercials. And if this were a simulcast with cable, they could replace the commercials with newly made bumpers. Preferably a new version of Powerhouse or City or even Noods bumpers.
Which begs the question: how much sooner can the family friendly cable channels like Cartoon Network can be added to Pluto TV? I know it’s owned by Paramount hence their Nickelodeon channels, but they’ve partnered with other studios to add content and the new leadership said they’re looking for money where they can find it.
Kids aren’t watching cable anymore but just because cable is dying doesn’t mean the brands started by those channels should die with them.
Too bad that CN won’t care. They’ve had this chance multiple rimes and they decided against it

Gumball does absolutely deserves a new series and a movie, I'm glad cartoon network is bringing back the old og cartoons
Gumball makes sense to give the series proper closure but Adventure Time and Regular Show? The comics are fine but drawing the show out longer than what was intended is how things go bad. Instead of focusing on original ideas they and many others seem obsessed with continuing things that don’t need it.

I actually get the feeling that they’ll clown on that in an episode, as well as all the other stuff.
Since the movie was originally going to lead into a reboot, (which is no longer happening) the creator was most likely referring to the fact that the story has to be reworked since they are now doing a season 7 and possibly more

I believe that they're trying to start small. Introduce the season with smaller episodes sprinkled with hints of what to come, until eventually all those smaller hints culminate in a grand incident that sets Gumball and Darwin on their "quest". Think of Wandavision or DHMIS.
Honestly I don't mind how much time passes until the Gumball movie comes out as long as it does eventually come out.

Kinda shocked nobody ever brought up the whole Bobbypills storyboarded The Movie back in 2022 and the whole there has been at least 3 editors that worked on The Movie (Prakash Patel, Gary Bradbury and a currently unknown assistant editor hired from a WB Discovery job article to replace Gary) from January 1st 2022 up to 2024 with the last editor wrapping their work on June 20, 2024 according to the article. Conspiracy theory The Movie might have been completed in secret and they're never going to release that version in favor of a rebooted script Gumball Movie remake because no one wants to pay WB for Gumball Movie. Hopefully the original plot gets repurposed in some way in Season 7 maybe as the Season finale? Oh also Season 7 is pretty cool i like the funni burger plot very on brand. Glad Gumball's more alive than Beyond Good and Evil 2.
