    The sweetspot on a 95" is higher up than the sweetspot on a 100" = you have more reach with a 95"

    Put in a hybrid or string with less tension. Thereby you can increase/dial the power.

    Long time Prestige user. Glad the new gen frames can handle poly strings with the wider grommets, better bumper CAP system, tech/frame materials and wider pattern. Cheers!

    I’m pretty new to tennis but playing golf near pro level I’m pretty self aware about how I like my racket, feel and touch etc.
    You’ve made me want to try this racket now 😂 mainly for the volleys, I’m only a small guy but pretty strong and there’s nothing quite like having the stability of a solid frame.
    I’ve tried quite a few now, from lite versions, mid weight and some 305g and the difference in playability is incredible, I have a swift pro coming on demo so looking forward to that.
    Great review 👍

    This was like hearing myself talking about the Head Prestige Tour. To me this IS the best racquet Head ever made.
    Stability, feel and control all top notch! I kinda expected the SW to become cumbersome but no complaints so far (after ~6 months of use).
    I've played with a number of Prestiges from the Classic 600, XT MP (horrible stick!), 360+ Mid (the 93 sq in) up to the 2021 Prestige Pro and Prestige Tour, and also the Pro Tour 2.0 btw. THIS one, though, kicks all their @$$es !

    Have you had the chance to try the 2023 Prestige Tour? I would like to hear your opinion on that one. Is it just a paint update or does the 2023 actually play differently from the 2021 version? On TW they state the Swing Weight is down by 11 whole points (to 330) but they lowered the SW on the 2021 several times as well. So the best way to know for sure (apart from buying one of course!) is a review by an experienced and knowledgeable reviewer (see what I'm doing here? 😀). Cheers!

      I think the old one used the graphene 360+ and the new one uses auxetic. I definitely noticed a difference between the two. A touch more forgiving and larger sweet spot on the new one

      @@MikeKomen Ok thanks Mike. Good info. So definitely not just a paint update! A slightly different stick but also a good one. A larger sweet spot is always welcome. I'll try it when it goes on sale right before the 2025 update is here ;-) Cheers!

    Thanks for content. Would have been nice to be more direct comparison to the 98 18x20. Lots of people interested in a prestige because of the… prestige? Of the line.
    Which one to go for tho.
    I can think the 98 is the bigger head therefore easier to use. But then also lower ra, denser string bed so maybe actually harder to use. Tricky tricky.

    Great video!! I have had the MPs Graphene and XT. Didn't like either one, felt stiff, no feel of the ball when hitting, kind of muted feel. I really liked the Prestige Youtek IG MP, that's the feel I like. Explosive sound, soft feel. How this new Tour model feels? Does it feel lifeless, or kind of the old school Prestige?

    Hey Mike, why not put styling and cool factor together? And add a different category regarding the overall playability of the racquet? Because as it is now, it affects the overall score of the racquet based on something as subjective as the styling... Perhaps you have your own reason, which I would be glad to hear abt. Cheers!

    • @MikeKomen
      @MikeKomen  11 місяців тому +1

      I agree I was thinking maybe even to add a spin category but honestly I’m just too lazy to go in and change all my previous reviews 😂 but Mike Score was just a way for me to organize my thoughts and opinions was never meant to be a perfect guide more a general idea of what the racquet is like. I always recommend people still try before they buy. Even if I give something a perfect score someone else may have a completely different opinion. I still appreciate your input thought, thank you!

    Friend, I am quite disappointed with my extreme tour, it turns out that despite the light weight I find that the swing speed is low, it is difficult for me to squeeze power out of this racket, I added six grams of lead at 12 o'clock and changed the grip of factory for one of 10 grams, even so it is difficult for me to accelerate and transfer the air. To achieve that, would it be good to counteract with a gram in the grip? Even my custom prestige auxetic tour with six grams at 12 o'clock feels faster. Please help. I want this racket to feel like my old yonex vcore 98 from 2018.

    • @MikeKomen
      @MikeKomen  9 місяців тому

      Might just be that the racquet isn’t right for you. Why not try the aero or yonex vcore which are known for fast swing speeds?

    There is something wrong with the swingweight number for this racket.
    Balance is 32.5 and total weight is 315+17 (strings)
    That should amount to 332 grams with deduction of aprox 7 (balancepoint) . @34 no reduction, @33 5gram reduction, @32 10 gram reduction. @32.5 7 gram reduction.
    Swingweight should be therefore in the realm of 325-330. this is also the numbers for the 2023 version which basically is the same racket.
    Also the Mike Score says the Pro Staf 97 v 13 is more powerfull? But the stiffness is the same...the balancepoint almost the same. yet thr torsion stability is greater on the Tour. I think you need to string the Tour differently from the Pro Staff and you will atleast get equal amount of power.

    Hey Mike, looks like you'll need to head back out onto the courts a bit more often, now that the Canadian weather has been better. Most prestige players and collectors like myself actually train and play a lot to actually wield this racquet along with the RF pro staff. Please train, wear, hit, grunt and play like Rafa on your next video using the Pure Aero Rafa Origin as its a great racquet over a couple of hours getting used to it.

    • @MikeKomen
      @MikeKomen  11 місяців тому

      I’ve been out there a lot but for coaching kids tennis camps. Not much full power hitting haha. I wanted the Rafa origin but none available for demo the one I got is just the regular Rafa. Still a great racquet and I did my best to whip some top spin!

  • @derekpappas1556
    @derekpappas1556 11 місяців тому

    Was this demo that you received a stock spec ? At 315 grams stock as well as with its other specs , it falls in line with other 95 's like the Dunlop CX 200 tour 16x19 when added head weight at 2 , 10 and poss 12 . If you removed the cool factor and styling , I would say that the CX 200 tour would equal it .
    What you have not seen yet in a demo , is that the gloss coatings are clear lamination that bubble up . I saw it heavily in a 98 version and I was shocked . The film helps with scuffs and cracks but for styling it starts to fail with durability.
    I see your racquet hierarchy would change , If you focused solely on performance . I do agree with the notion of styling as a major factor for the price point . A beautiful under performer , destroys everything as well . This should not be a factor if performance is the purpose of your review , nor the cool factor .

  • @benjaminjensen111
    @benjaminjensen111 2 місяці тому

    Specs doesnt make sense.
    if its 315 gram unstrung then its not more than +17 with strings = 332 gram.... If its 5 points head light... then the swing weight is not over 330.
    So the numbers you display do not add up. Who meassured this?

    Your swing is extremely short.
    Prestige is ment to be swung very very long
