I miss beaver trapping!! My dad an I did 7 houses in an hour. One year we had 19 beaver houses set, my brother an I went to check one line picked up 12 beaver, went back to our cabin ate lunch checked our second beaver trapping line and picked up 8 More. Needless to say we sprung the second line, and left the first one set till the next day when we picked up one more. There was beaver from the floor to the ceiling in our little 10×12 log cabin I couldn't get out of my bunk bed with out stepping on a beaver or Move a beaver like a curtain To see out either of the two windows. My dad and I were up till 3:30 AM skinning, gutting and stretching beaver when we decided to quit for the night there were 3 beaver left that had to thaw some more. Good ole days early 2000's we used to have pictures of it but a cargo agent at a airline we used to use stole it from my moms luggage along with a iPod the very first ones almost big as a game boy an some other smaller items.
Hey I know this is an old video but just wanted to ask who you got those tall 330 stands from? I’d like to get some if they’re still available. Great work on the videos, been great learning more different ways to do everything, thanks for taking the time to do it.
Awesome video! My dad use to trap these guys a lot!. Lots of work. Cool to see again!

Nice job Jim . Enjoyed watching 👍🏻🦫
Thxs for taking us along always better than Tv✌🏻
I really enjoyed that Jim! I hope to start on the beaver here soon. 4 outa 5 is some darn good catching! Take care Brother
Didn't recognize you with the beard. Lots of work. Neat how the frames work with the wider traps, opposite of Lefler.
Great video Jim thanks for your nard work doing the videos.
Nicely done Jim........I must say,i haven't figured out setting 330's under the ice,i love my snares. Thanks for sharing Migwech
Great video Jim-I learned a lot. I now use Art's trap stands myself-had trouble putting my LDL 280's on the stand due to putting on inside of stand

I use to buy them from another trapper but he no longer makes them, check around at some of the trap supply places most carry some sort of version.
Well done jim
I have a question. In order to have a trapping line there does the government force you to have a required beaver line with quota? Just curious
Yes all our registered traplines have mandatory beaver quotas.
@@gibbsadventures12 thank you. I've always wondered about other countries trapping etiquette an guidelines. Not like the US where its a free for all
