Them or Us is actually an excellent album, with around 2-3 great instrumentals as well, whippin post is actually the first released version. Be in My Video was a parody of MTV type music videos.
Zappa of '84, such a wide variety... "Them or Us", "Thing-fish", "The Perfect Stranger", and "Francesco Zappa" Rock/pop, broadway-esk, philharmonic, and baroque... all released in one year. 😎
These two songs are not back to back on the album, so that's why there was such a strange transition between the two. The whole album is fantastic. It's one of my favorites of Frank.
Hi L33! Zappa's just having a bit of fun with all the silly cliched elements often found in the videos of MTV's "golden age." Check out anything else on Them or Us. The whole thing is awesome. Peace.
How does your children make you feel embarrassed? I think it is correct to feel like that because sometime you are beeing ehausted is absolutely normal and comprehensive.
I bought this on 7" single back at the time. It's one of my least favourite Zappa albums though. He was really struggling through the mid 80s. In MY opinion.
I'm a huge Zappa fan. And I can say, without a doubt, this album really sucks! The only good song on it is "Frogs With Dirty Little Lips," written by Frank's youngest son, who was, I don't know, about 6 years at the time. This is the worst album he ever put out!
You're making it seem like Zappa was the biggest artist of the Seventies. Have you heard of Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, and the Eagles? The Bee gees? James Brown? Donna Summer?
The track "Them Or Us" is a crazy guitar solo with incredible controlled feedback and amazing drums. Well worth a listen.

😊 Un Genio pazzo
Well I started my Zapped road -76 =) saw him 7 times and Dweezil 5 times
Frank Zappa speaks/sings/ dances the blues slapstick style 🎯
Oh you can do that whole LP man … great double LP . Steve Vai and Dweezil all over this . 🎸✌️
Frank was a big fan of Doo Wop
Moooooo-aaaaaahhhhhh !
FZ, one of a kind.
Frank! Thanks Paul!!
😅 Frank, got to love him

that is NOT where the album goes, that's some fan edit. It goes directly into Frogs With Dirty Little Lips, words by Ahmet when he was a toddler.
Non esisterà mai piu un altro uomo come lui ...un Genio totale

Lapsed Catholic, so I will have fish on Frank Friday!
Ridicule always wins, right?
Hey Lee! Where you from again? You DO know Dweezil is touring US right now! You HAVE to see (hear) him and his band!!!
Them or Us is a GREAT album!
Listen to Stevie's Spanking with solos from Steve Vai, Frank, and Dweezil Zappa! Also Sinister Footwear!
Leave 'em on the kitchen table...
Frank is my drug of choice; the antidote to all the shit life throws at you. 😇
Zappa
Have you listened to any tracks from We're Only In It For The Money except The Chrome Plated Megaphone O' Destiny?
Be in my Video is about Lets Dance
Red Shoes , Atom Bomb Explosion etc
Let Dance them Blues
Another classic Zappa tune is I Have Been In You, from the Hammersmith Odeon. Highly recommended.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one! This is a very good album, middle of the pack in my eyes
@@andremartin5446 You need glasses.
@@Hapmorii to see the music?? Nice comment bud lol

Why are you here
He wasn’t the biggest but he was one of if not THE best artist of that era and I’m a new fan and I see that
And yes I have heard all of those bands/artists and none of them have a lick on Zappas dental floss
Shit him just fucking around and trolling folks back in the day was some of the best music I’ve ever heard hahaha 😂
Ever think outside the box?
Frank wasn't the biggest artist of the 70s, but he was among the most interesting. Big hits don't make for great art.
