    Hi Kristine! Can you make more videos on the other major electrolytes as well? Such as sodium, calcium, potassium, chloride, phosphate, and magnesium.

    I had a heart rate of 160 and after an IV it went massively down. Have no idea how much magnesium to take since leaving ER.

  • @marialaguer4871
    @marialaguer4871 Рік тому

    Wait so does that mean that if there is a calcium deficiency, this can also cause hypomagnesemia? Sorry, I'm not in nursing school yet, but I got curious ..

    • @NurseInTheMaking
      @NurseInTheMaking  Рік тому

      No worries at all! I love that you are diving into the information to prepare yourself for nursing school.
      Calcium and magnesium fall & rise together. Magnesium helps transport calcium out of the cell, so a lack of magnesium can lead to low calcium. These two electrolytes actually work to keep one another balanced, so you can think of them as a complementary relationship! I hope this provides some clarity 🙂-Kristine
