    In order to limit the bangers advantage there are only so many levels that can be pulled on.
    e the coefficient of restitution can be limited on the ball or the paddle/face (they already do this for paddles and balls)
    d the drag coefficient can be increased on the ball (again i think this is already done)
    IMO, USPA could increase the net height by .5 - 1 inch and decrease the drag of the ball. This would actually increase the speed, but decrease the effect spin has on the ball which would make mid court banging much more difficult to actually get in. the dominant strategy would be getting out of the way, but may temporarily increase the likelihood to be bagged.
    The more i think about it net height with an RPM top end would probably be the best. The tournament nets arent permanent anyway, and i guarantee an adapter could be made for the permanent nets that already exist.

    All they need to do is to limit the speed. The ball can be hit with a certain amount of force. They need to come up with some very strict rules using scientific methodology. Then he manufactures a one year heads up. But it seems like they are unable to stay ahead of the curve. They’re always playing catch-up. I’m sure there’s a mechanical engineer that could help the governing bodies out. Or let’s just go back to wood. That’s what they do in baseball.

    Is a Kevlar paddle good for pickleball?

    • @KevinThomasAdventures
      @KevinThomasAdventures Місяць тому +1

      Most refer to kevlar as "dwell" paddles as the ball stays on the face longer. Another term used for kevlar paddles is "plush" because of the dwell time. I like kevlar for me because it helps controlling drops and resets. You lose a little power in the trade off, but I hit the ball fairly hard so I don't mind the trade off. If you want more control, kevlar can be a good choice. If you want power stick with carbon fiber. Just my opinion. Best of luck!

Coming from a Badminton Background I could generate power to clear from one end to the other and smash at 150mph. Every other racket sport, the person who could hit hard, accurate and maintain a fast pace would win. Placement won at intermediate levels.

      I can take the best drop shot and wack the best pro right in the forehead. Dinners do not stand a chance against me as I've mastered spin. That's what 60 years of being a spin doctor in tennis can do for you. I ca create spin in every direction. I play 4.5 to 5.0 players and they can't return my serve playing pickleball. I sometimes win all the points with my serve. I say they should ban any spin in pickleball. No spin on your serve, no spin on your lobs, no spin on your drop shots. I play big power hitters all the time and it has very little effect against me. If there was no doubles in pickleball, the sport would be dead in I week as most pickleball is played doubles. It's funny how tennis players who don't play pickleball always show the clip of doubles pickleball players doing their dink shots in defense of how hard tennis is compared to pickleball. I recently played a college tennis player singles pickleball and and ran that poor fool all over the place and easily beat him. He now has some respect for pickleball.
