Just got the J2K for Christmas, and I'm really liking it. Added some weight at 4&8 position and made it even better for me. Great spin, able to 3rd shot drop succesfully more consistently, better dinking, etc. The paddle really does have a huge sweet spot, making it more forgiving and rewarding to play with.
Thanks for the J2ti recommendation. Been playing with it a few months now quite a bit and it not only plays well but is holding up well. The grit seems to be holding up better than other paddles I've had and the sweet spot and power are still sweet. Thanks again!
Exactly, I've played Joola Gen3 Perseus, Gearbox Power Pro, Selkirk, Joola Gen 3s and J2k. But i like J2K most. It' not power assitance, it' real sensitve. High sweet spot.
Invader for the Win! I got mine about a month ago and it’s incredible! I put a Slyce speedcap on it (1 oz) and it seriously made the paddle come alive! You gotta give that a try! No other weight just the speedcap! I think the slightly lowered balance point really changed the feel for the better!
I watch all the reviewers, and I got to say, this might be my favorite list (please don’t tell the others, Louis especially is very sensitive). Thanks for sharing this. Neonic Flare Prime X is haunting me, as a paddle I haven’t tried that sounds really good for me. I just bought a Saga and a Pulse V… maybe I’ll trade the Saga for it.
@Jollysimp Mach 2xForza not on list because it is a 2023 paddle. This is his list of the best of 2024. It is a great one though and Chris Olson put it on his ‘24 list while noting it came out in ‘23.
I just played with my J 2K and Man. I love it. I bought an invader thinking I would like it more but I didn’t so I sold it. I ordered a j2ti yesterday and wonder if they made the ti in 14 mm how it would play
Hmmm as a guy that doesn’t switch much…..started paddletek back in the day for three yrs to the crbn 3x the last couple of yrs…I definitely like the hybrid all around crbn x3 style….the JTKI or JTK may be a good option ( considering the S3 Joola Perseus) . In your opinion do you think the JTKI would be similar to what I am using and is it better…Ty nice review
I think it's a great paddle, but I think the other two offer things that either the AC doesn't, or they offer them better. The JB is the budget machine with a little less pop than the AC, and the FPX has more pop than the AC and is a also a sliver closer. I think the AC makes a good argument for being on the list, and I could see someone else switch it for one of those, but I think it's comparable to those two, with them having the edge on It in one way or another.
I think it's still a good paddle, and i have no idea what the pro 4 will bring.. I would say not to hold your breath and just go with what we know works for now!
I did a section for the Rayox paddles here: ua-cam.com/video/WfYuDzWXdgs/v-deo.htmlsi=OLG5weu2mXZySEru But I haven't had a chance to play with the Robust Red, ill have to look that up!
Curious as to where the neonic flare titanium would be relevant to this list? I understand "it's not on this list" but with neonic being #2 and a titanium variant being #1, I feel the flare Ti was meant to be somewhere here?
I’m going to say it. If the J2K isn’t the top pick, I’m suspicious of the top paddle list. I don’t own the paddle, but it seems to be top default recommendation for most of 2024.
I agree, it's so hard to argue with... I think a person can have a PERSONAL top pick that's different (i.e., my go-to is the #4 on my own top 10 list, haha...), but when thinking about paddles that are good for most people and provide the greatest breadth of versatility, it's hard to talk the J2 models out of the top spot.
Yes, I would say so. The VPG2 and VPG3 are both solid paddles at great prices, but the power from the Fire Eax comes with a little less effort on swings, too
I think J2k PRO is the sleeper of the bunch…has more power, pop and great control…plus they have a 10 day demo so u can try all the J2ks and send back the one u dont want.
Can you show links to each of these paddles on their website? I am having a hard time differentiating on their site. Also, what is the difference between the J2K and J2K Pro? Thank you!
@PickleballMedicine Your welcome and btw will HPC be releasing power paddles in 2025 or Gen 3 similar to Pickleball Apes, David aka Tickle My Pickle reviewed the new Luzz paddles it has the same similar construction like the Pickleball Apes Pulse series will you review those Luzz paddles (Ultra Beserker, Pro2 Saber & Pro2 Archer)
Hahaha wow, that may be the single most inaccurate error I've ever made in a video... at least it's bad enough that people will know it's not correct, as opposed to something that's wrong, but not TOO wrong... 😅
It's on my honorable mentions! I love that paddle, but wanted tk make the list more towards what I think are the best top ten for everyone, personal bias aside 😅
@@PickleballMedicine , thanks for responding to all my comments! I'm debating on whether to buy the lazr16x, a standout cf3 power or kc1, robust RED, or a 14mm j2k. For all three, I will most likely add lead tape by the base to increase control. I like 16.5 length paddles and play with alot of spin and power. always find myself in situations for roll volleys after hard line drives . What do you reccomend for a 4.0 player who wants a fun, yet durable paddle with decent longevity???
i currently use a scorpeus but its because it was gifted to me and im a broke college student lol it just dosent have the spin im looking for but i love the stability it has at the net
Excellent concise video Dustin!!! Ive been using the hudef viva pro 3 (power) paddle and just got my son the j2k 16. It hits like half as hard. I get about 5 aces a game with the hudef but none with the j2k at 3.5-3.8 level. And alot more finishes at the net with shirt pop ups. Im wanting to try the paddle becuase everyone seems to love it so much but its hard to sacrifice the power of the viva pro.
Agree 100%. Felt cheap and flimsy. Sounded bad. Boring design. Had loose glue rattles (everyone says it doesn’t effect play but it’s brand new sorry it shouldn’t do this) and had to fight for nearly two weeks to get them to do a warranty return. Paddle cover smelled terrible. Just cheap generic junk.
Totally agree! I bought the J2K when all the hype started and never liked the paddle, I never understood why every reviewer speaks so highly of it. Feels cheap and I hate the handle shape.
That means a lot, thank you for the kind words and support! I will say, I do always look for your comments on the videos.. it's nice to see a friendly face, and I always appreciate your feedback! I think Louis will most likely survive, for now... 😅
Great list! I have not played with all of the paddles on your list, but I really like the J2Ti, Flare Prime X, Invader, and Jelly Bean.
J2Ti ftw So much fun to play with.
I really cannot recommend Honolulu Pickleball Company. Worst customer service ever,
Jesus 2k for the win!
Great price line!! Sick of $200 + paddles!

Great list! surprised to not see the Saga on the honorable mentions, love mine.
Thanks for the review! ordered a J2K ;)
Good video. Love the J2K and HUDEF MAGE PRO GEN2.
Great list, very succinct, short and sweet! Thank you and Happy NY!
Great list. My top 3 is Bantam TKO-C, Neonice Flow and HUDEF MAGE PRO GEN2 14MM.
thanks for not making this a mini series length award show ......gotta keep it under 20min great job
Love my 14mm J2K. Number 1 in my book.
Fantastic breakdown, Dustin!
J2Ti 💯
Thanks for the J2ti recommendation. Been playing with it a few months now quite a bit and it not only plays well but is holding up well. The grit seems to be holding up better than other paddles I've had and the sweet spot and power are still sweet. Thanks again!
Love your paddle reviews so much. You make it so understandable and interesting. Would love to see a review of the Body Helix Gen 3 Flik paddle.
short and sweet
Trying to get right after it!
Great video 🎉
Neonic Flare Prime X works for me

Where would you place the j2k pro 16mm or j2k pro 14mm? Or would you rather play the regular j2k or J2Ti ?
Love Hudef Paddle

I think that's great.. I actually never added any weight to my Invader at all, either, it played great stock!

Neonic Flare Prime X is haunting me, as a paddle I haven’t tried that sounds really good for me. I just bought a Saga and a Pulse V… maybe I’ll trade the Saga for it.
How the volair Mach 2 forza didn’t make it to this list is crazy. Unbelievable control with a giant sweet spot.
Mach 2 Forza is a 2023 paddle though isn’t it? This is a 2024 list
@Jollysimp Mach 2xForza not on list because it is a 2023 paddle. This is his list of the best of 2024. It is a great one though and Chris Olson put it on his ‘24 list while noting it came out in ‘23.

I currently own a 16 mm j2k as well as a 16 mm J2TI. I prefer the J2TI. I had a 14 mm J2TI but found it much harder to control
@ which do you prefer the TI or k and why?
Looking forward to see more reviews in 2025! Hope to see: Phantom Paddle, Revolin Zeus, Dynasty Brands. If possible!
Thank you for the recap, it's interesting to see that Honolulu is coming out tops with most of the reviewers this year.
I agree.. I wonder if people are getting sick of the repeat, but the paddles are just so solid!
They have a really stingy return process. I do not recommend them. The paddle is not special. Its basic. Great marketing though.
@@yoJuicy Guess you are a basic player?
@@tommymorgan9293 try the pulse V or so or ripple and come back to me
Thank you for the award. Enjoy plaing with my HUDEF VIVA PRO GEN3.
Hi Dustin! Im still playing with the Fat Boy, are there any paddles youd recommend over that?
I wish ESQ made a hybrid size!

What you’re calling the the JTK is called the J2K. What you’re calling the JTKI is called the J2Ti. What you’re calling the S3 is called the 3S.
Loving my invader. B&B is so slept on.
I love the content! Was surprised to see the Jelly bean and the flare prime X made the list but the All-Court didn’t… any particular reason for that?

What's your weight configuration on your Pulse V. I've been loving it stock but curious of your modification
Can you review the rayox paddles and the standout cf3 power paddles?
i was gonna ask for the cf3 too 😂😂
