I was down in Cuba at the end of January. I grabbed a box of P2's, (2) boxes of HDMR #2, and a box of Bolivar BF. $1800 USD. They have priced themselves out of the market. Cohiba is just nuts. The time has come to move over to non Cuban options. The moves on pricing have just made Padron's reasonable.
Doug i understand your frustration. The box of HDMR Epi #2 are $400/box 25 which comes to $16/stick. Not that bad given the current state of things. The Partagas P2s will run about $20/ so thats $500/ box of 25. Personally, i can't switch back to DR or Nicaraguan bc they are my flavour profile. I have switched my everyday smokes to custom rolls which I have found to be amazing for the price!

@@kmichaelp4508 I completely understand and can't blame anyone for trying to find alternatives. As for me, trust me when I say I cannot afford to buy boxes like I USED to when cohiba robustos were $20-$25/stick. This is why I have switched to custom rolls which are still priced reasonable and are amazing quality! For example, the price of the Margarita shop custom is the same as a typical mid tier Padron if not less amd you get to smoke a stick, (in my opinion) smokes just as good if not better than a Cohiba Siglo 6
Your mom amd dad are both wonderful people and I consider them friends. I met Yani's daughter in the shop last Saturday and I hope to meet you on my next trip this summer! Tell your mom I will bring her favorite macaroons!
First proper report on the current prices of Cuban cigars I've seen. Well done. I'm shocked on how expensive the Cuban cigars are now. Still question behind the logic of the price increase.
It's because in 2022 the retail arm of S.A. Habanos sold 49% to a Chinese holding company in Taiwan. The decision was made to consolidate all pricing for LCDH shops worldwide to the prices of the LCDH shop in Hong Kong. I believe Havana shops upped their prices so as not to undercut the international shops so much. Believe me I was shocked last October 2022 when I arrived and saw everything had changed. But like the great Cuban people, when life throws you a curveball you look for ways to get by and make it thru. I encourage people to visit Cuba not only for cigars but to receive a lesson in humility in life
But thank you for your comments and positive feedback. I have always found youtube to fall short on info. I hated relying on different stories from different people so I went to find out the info for myself and this is what i share in my videos. You're seeing EXACTLY WHAT I AM SEEING
Some of the best cigars I've smoked are custom rolled - the current situation will make them more desirable. Which is both good and bad. Can also see a lot more fakes getting sold. And the old story - my second cousin works at a factory and they come from him/her. Again, not one of Cuban's smartest decisions ever made.
Thanks for taking the time out to do this video. Yes I know the prices have shot up over the last couple of years but try buying any top Cuban brands in the UK would make a rich persons wallet cry. But I really enjoy my H.Upman Connoisseur NO 2 also their Regalias version which both are bearable on the pocket. I need to visit those shops in Cuba that you were at soon. $87 is the price right now in the UK for a Cohiba Robusto.
Absolutely INSANE prices!!! In my 20 years of smoking Cubans, I have never paid over $250. for a box of 25. Monte #2, Hoyo petit robusto, Hoyo #1, Ramon Allones specially selected, Monte edmondos, JUST CRAZY today!!! Last bought in Nov. 2021 was a box of 10 Monte petit edmondos $110. Sept. 2021 Partagus #4 S D box of 20 $135. June 2021 Monte #2 box of 10 $126. I could go on and on, but why? Until they come back to earth on their prices, they have lost me as customer who would buy a box of something every other month. I'm good with My Father family, Rocky Patel decade, Hoyo silver by A J.
Enjoy bro. I resonate the feelings and sentiments of the prices but there are only 3 options: 1) do what you're doing and give up and go find other sticks you like; 2) look for something still within your price range and load up ; 3) seek out alternatives like custom rolls and farm rolls. Peace out!
My filthy rich client gave me two pure and illegal cuban cigars by DIPLOMATICO and PARTAGAS. He went to Cuba and snuck them in I thought these would be the HOLY OF HOLIES They weren't. My local Nicaraguan and Dominican cigars are better and my favorite is from Lucky Cigars LIGA PERFECTA NICARAGUAN RUM EXCLUSIVE To me it's heaven on earth
@@ytpremium7649 That's because you "filthy rich client" is a tool and brought back counterfeit Cubans like most dopey Americans do. BTW they aren't illegal in the USA anymore that finished ages ago anyone can go there and bring them back for personal use, but most get ripped of by street sellers thinking they are getting a bargain like your buddy....
She put up with you asking and digging for prices on all those boxes,i give her a lot credit lol, Great video. The info on the Cubans and the prices is Golden , when you see the owner a woman smoking a 56 ring gauge nothing more to be said.
Well its her job to help customers so ^^ Not putting up with anything then doing her job. So i dont see what credit is to be giving for someone who just doing their job.
Kimo, you were spot on about this place. Went monday before heading to the opening night of Habanos Festival. The ladies there are so kind and those custom roll Margaritas were good as you said. Great people, great atmosphere... will be back.
I am glad you had this experience. Soak up the atmosphere of the festival and make sure to go back to the shop. Sarai amd her team have the best customer service in Havana and Yanis' custom rolls are just as good as any regular production!
Thank you for this informative video about Cuban cigar prices. It gives a clear benchmark when comparing the prices from back home (love from Morocco). Like many, the prices are simply out of range. on a positive note, it allow me to seek alternative brands, so far, I am loving My Father Le Bijou and The judge, I enjoy PERDOMOs immensely, pretty much every Perdomo stick is to me liking, I also enjoy Rocky Patel Decade and Disciple, last but and not least, I enjoy the CAMACHO brand, too bad they discontinued some of me favorite American barrel and Nicaragua aged cigars.
My goodness….damn, I have one Cohiba Robusto left in my humidor from a box of 25 I bought in 2002……price was $8.45/stick! A box of Montecristo #4 were $40. Still have several Partagas Serie D #4, Montecristo #2 and my personal favourites Punch Punch and R&J Mille Fleurs aging in the humidors. Enjoy life, enjoy your smokes…..and thanks for the great video and price update….
Thanks bro. That's quite a stash you have and nothing better than aged cigars. Unlike rest of thevworldbcigars which do not date stamp their production (I know why, they use machine and also hand roll but use tobacco that's switched between blends and hence the tobacco is not batches for traceability)
I know the prices have gone up quite a bit since 2022 but I am glad to see they are still considerably lower than our market here in Canada. That box of H. Uppman magnum 54s is $1500 here
I’m in Havana now & have just bought three bundles of the Margaritas, they are without doubt the best cigars in Havana Also the customer service is great
Told you Brother!!! I'm really glad you liked them and to everyone reading this, I receive absolutely no commission, monetary gain or anything else. My sole purpose is to share my limited knowledge amd experience with those who enjoy habanos as much as I do. I had no one show me this path as it was only by personal experience and trial & error
Mr. Lawrence you have just discovered my antidote to the high prices of habanos. Seeking out high quality custom rolls at decent prices to smoke everyday!
Yes you are correct a good custom roll cigar is hard to beat, my favourite used to be the Trinidad Esmeralda but at $675 for a box of 12 that’s just too much I also love the Cuban coffee but could only find it on the black market
Great video. I know what to expect. I can enjoy a few cigars in Cuba and stick to My Father and Fuentes when I get back. Amazing cigars for a third of the price. Cuba can go out of business with these prices for all I care. Thanks for the info.
Thank you for your video you make my life easier with your chanel im from quebec canada and a boxe of 12 trinidad media luna its 1100$ and i buy at 454$ us so 620 canadian im gonna come back next time
Nice video! I live in China/US half a year each, usually I buy cigars from HK online and pay 50% tax when shipping into China, cuban cigar price doubled or even tripled since end of 2021. I checked order records, 15 Cohiba robusto was $400 Nov. 2021, saying $27 per stick, now 25 box is $2000, $80 per stick. Same thing happened on Japan Whisky.....
You're right that the 0rices are even higher outside of cuba bc retailers are adding their margins. Remember this was the decision of the S.A. Habanos arm that was sold to the Chinese so blame them

Prices are ridiculous insane. Give me a great consistent Nicaragua cigar like Padron, Perdomo or Plascencia for one third the price. I lived two years in Cuba, all government owned.
I understand Lorraine. It is ridiculous and I think Habanos are moving in a direction to try amd cater to the wealthy only. Thankfully I have researched and sampled a lot of custom rolls made by torcedores in some of the shops in Havana and the sticks (some not all) are just as good if not better than the top brands (Cohiba, Partagas, Montecristo)

Great video. I was there with my wife in May of 2018 and was able to bring back 200 cigars. I paid $400 USD for a box of Cohiba Espendidos back then, not that long ago.
The U.K has some pretty high taxes on tobacco. When I was across the street from the Davidoff lounge at Francos I met an Austin gent who said the prices inbthe U.K were HALF THAT IN AUSTRALIA!!!!😖😖
Thanks man great video! I'm going to your shop and buying your recommendation on hand rolls in a week!! Thanks man...The prices were a HUGE help man!!!
Interesting. We have nothing like this in Australia, very anti smoking here.Romeo 3 here is about $35.00 a stick.I am surprised the prices so high in Cuba.
It was a across the table price increase however, there are SOME brands outside of the top 7 brands that you can still find deals on in Cuba, especially agenda boxes which do not change in price.
@@KimoKapaku Unfortunately, Government took their home back in 1960's when they fled Cuba. My grandpa was retired/living comfortably there for sure... but we all know what happened there lol Enjoying your cigar videos! Keep up the awesome content.
Those prices are absolutely insane- I am very glad I stocked up in 2021. Have 6 boxes this year out of Europe that beat those prices all day long, including 2 boxes JLS2 all in for less than 750 USD. Cubans know who are coming to those shops…and the prices reflect that. I bought from 2 of the most prestigious shops in Europe last year (JJ Fox to include a RA PS 230 single) and A La Civette in Paris (5 count PSE2) and the prices worth every cent. Also found a wonderful vitola from H. Upmann (the majestic) I never had before- ultimate coffee in the morning smoke in Italy. Over all- heres the deal. Some guys like strippers, blow and fast cars. I will spend my loot on sticks. Cheaper and less expensive for sure 😂❤
I think it's important to compare apples to apples. If you find the exact same box (brand and vitola) from the EU please post exactly what the price is so we can have a direct comparison, otherwise comparing different brands and bitola pricing doesn't lend much comparative info. Great deal if you found value sticks all around but I highly doubt you can find RASS or HDM epi2 cabinet boxes (50) for $16/stick or $726/50
@@KimoKapaku It just goes to show why the prices are so high. You have a ton of new people like this fellow who think these prices are good because they clearly never were into cigars a few years ago. Ive smoked and collected cigars since I was 15 and thse prices are insane. Before you wanna call me cheap, keep in mind my collection is worth more than my new land rover.
@@KimoKapaku the small boxes the 3 count came in had both the habanos band and the Cuban seal and then when I opened them they were triple capped and the bands were all lined up with the hologram and the head inside the head.
Love the video! Have become a big fan of the trinidad cigar. I still find it crazy how expensive cigars are in Cuba as one would think it would be cheaper buying there, but it's almost same price
I think what’s really sad is that these prices don’t actually phase me as much because I already have that outrageous California tax. Hemingways best sellers running at about $15 a stick, davidoff’s at around $30-$60 a stick depending which one you want.
Love your video and really love to try those Margaritas maybe want a box if you say they are good, but I saw someone else's video showing them at $15 USD each when you got yours for only $10 thats a big increase for a non premium cigar in the last 10 months.
I've watched all your Cuban videos and even paused it to watch that recommendation and wrote it into my notes! On a second note for a more complex question, I wanted to also sample and buy single sticks from well known brand such as Hoyo de Monterrey, Cohiba, Trinidad, Montecristo, H. Uppman, Punch, Trinidad and a few others but I've been reading that several people are complaining that some of the main shops are simply rolling their singles in the back themselves and placing a wrapper on them to pass them off as real ones (not by the box but simply singles for sale). Do you have a recommendation where to go to buy authentic single sticks in Havana where I wont get scammed. @@KimoKapaku
I spent 30k on cigars in 2016 and still have most of them. The majority are cubans and that includes a few boxes of cohibas as well as limited edition boxes like 80th anniversary montecristos, capuleto ryj's, esplendidos from 2002, etc.
You have any idea if they take phone order or internet orders? I'd like to try there hand rolled. Love to contact those farmers. WOW. You are truly lucky to travel. This is my third video of your. I'll sub you keep it up.
@rafer2002 thank you for tour subscription. Hit the notification bell as I do giveaways constantly. No other youtube channel offers free habanos like I do!!!
This is not to get into politics, but Cuba buying power with US dollar is extremely limited. Back then in 2016 US citizens could go back and forth without any restrictions as tourists and bring back rum, cigars. Money was flowing into Cuba, into the private sector like home for rents, small business etc... stores were full, no lack of anything anywhere even to the point that those Cuban Americans that say to hate the Cuban government, were going back and getting their citizenship reinstated so they could work and do business in Cuba. Right now half the country has immigrated, because since former president Trump became the president he damaged all good relationships that had been formed between Cuba and the previous administration. Not only that he also destroyed the Cuba private sector since he forced Airbnb to leave Cuba and now tourists don't have a way to find vacation homes for rent unless they know someone that knows someone. US citizens can still go to Cuba but not under a Tourist Visa, it has to be under other types of excuses such as Helping the Cuban people. This makes it more difficult for any tourist to go because finding places to stay that are not government owned such as most hotels is extremely hard. Now, how does all this factor in cigars being more expensive? Most good cigar rollers in Cuba left due to hardships and No local tourism so production has been in decline ever since the pandemic. Yes the Asians is a new market they are buying a lot, but is not like they are buying 1 million cigars, the production is just not there anymore. All young people in Cuba don't have the culture of working the land, without people working the farms you can't harvest tobacco plants, and in Cuba most young ones left the country already and the ones that are still there only wanna work in hotels or private restaurants. None wants to work under the extreme heat in a farm in the middle of the nowhere for $200 dollars a month. This is a fact,I am Cuban,I know what I am talking about.Cigars are expensive, yes Cuba got lucky with the increases demand, but can't sustain it because everyone in the island has left. Also, must of the money that comes in is used to buy products the country needs to import in order to supply hospitals, other sectors that don't export anything so it doesn't produce dollars. Since US has an embargo against Cuba then everything Cuba imports needs to be done through a third party vendor, paying 3 or 4 times the cost of that product to bypass the embargo
@alcontv4133 , I have no idea about all that. I'm pretty sure before obama was president and Americans were allowed to bring stuff back from Cuba, that the prices were way lower than they are now. I don't agree with the embargo. I think it's way outdated by now. Unfortunately, there's still this rift between Russia and America, and it's only gotten worse under the biden administration.
@@KimoKapaku That was before the price drop? wow. Im so happy I did stock up a few years ago. I saw this coming but I never knew that it would be this severe. Maybe my collection is worth more than the 60-70k that I estimated. I spent about 30k in 2016 on cigars and still have the majority of them because I always replaced what I smoked and teneded to leave the cubans alone and only have a couple per year.
So a box of 25 Cohiba robustos will run approx $1740. If you saw in the video a 3 pack of robustos was $208. Honestly the price of Cohiba is sky high amd the shop custom rolls are equivalent if not better than siglo 6s!
You will have a fabulous time. No there are NO BEHIKES TO BE FOUND AND ANYONE SELLING THEM ARE SCAMMING YOU. I would not buy anything off of the street. I recommend only LCDH and Caracol shops. Definitely check out the comodorp hotel shop amd next door at the Melia Habana LCDH
Last time I was in Havana I paid $120 for a box of D4's, the Chinese have ruined Cuban cigar prices as they are 4x higher now across most types and 6x for others....
Frankly, it is moot and pointless to sy" I remember when prices were..." for that matter I remember when gas was $1/gal and a cup of coffee was 10 cents. What relevance does that have now? None. People need to make the choice of either buying or not. I get comments like "oh patrons are better or Fuentes are better and cheaper" that's fine. Go to the Fuente video channels, padron channels amd buy those cigars bc their pricing isn't "ridiculous" until you pay $75 for and 858 size unpleasant rain or $95 for a bbmf, but hey, the Fuentes are better for the money...
Hey Man love your work. i have been to cuba before. what are your thoughts on buying cigars from people in the street (or when they take you to their home)?
Well I have NEVER bought street cigars to smoke for the simple fact you don't know where they come from, who rolled them, and whether they are even rolled in a factory. I have bought cigars knowing they are fakes only to cut them open to inspect their construction. Each one fails. That being said I can say that it is possible that you can find cigars sold from the backdoor of the factory to individuals on the street who are reselling. Again you can verify unless you know the source. I only buy boxes from shops, yes it's expensive but i know what I'm paying for. Off the street you don't. Even if it's for a "bargain" or "Cheap" you're rolling the dice. I recommend discovering rollers from different shops, start a relationship with them amd possibly buy outside the shop from them. It takes a lot of upfront work, time but the payoff can be worth it. I have done a lot of work already and shared it on this channel. Hope it helps!
Yeah I think i know why that spot has the shelves Full... Crazy ass prices!! Cigar coming out of DR are just as good if not better for a fraction of the cost!!
How many custom rolls can you take with you back home? Also what about other cheaper brands like R. Gonzales and J. Piedra? What do these cigars go for in Cuba?
I will do a video on quantities to bring back and answer some of your questions and other viewer questions. Please subscribe so you get notified of the new vids. Thanks!!!
Pre covid i use to buy boxes of Monte no.2s and Hoyo epi 2s for around 350-450 at duty free airports around the world such as Sao Paulo, Frankfurt, Munich, Stockholm 😭😭😭 of id have know i would have bought wat more.
Are these prices higher due to the festival? I was there this time last year, and I only paid around $7 Canadian per stick, and that was for Romeo Short Churchills and Monte open master. Plus, for every 10 I bought, I got one free.
The cabinet boxes are regular production but they are 50 count boxes. I haven't seen this many types of 50 count boxes in shops this trip. The reason why 50 count boxes are sought after is that you can age them while trying sticks through the years and having enough of the same stick to compare notes each time you smoke one. I on the other hand can't hold myself and smoke them all within 6 mo ths!
Thanks Broh, I was just about to buy a ticket to Cuba on my trip through South America, but the prices are exactly the same here around the corner at Europe's La Casa Del Habano, so maybe next time or in the next life when Cuba is free of the communism plague.
At the time of the festival they were $10/ but the manager told me they would go up to $15 HOWEVER she gave the channel a discount on customs if you mention you saw the shop on Kimos UA-cam channel
Good day! Ill be heading to Cuba around mid February and will most likely miss the festival. Will these Magaritas (if im spelling it right) be available. Obviously i want to bring back as many cigars as possible, but after seeing these prices for some it worries me that i won't even reach the 200 piece cap. The video was very informative and has lit an even bigger fire to head over there
You're actually going at a great time the week BEFORE the festival bc the shops will be packed to the gills. The Margaritas will be there as they put into overdrive to build inventory but only a few people who know about these customs come and buy them up! Most festival goers don't really focus on customs but the guys who know about them know they are the best value and quality available. Tell the ladies you saw them on Kimos channel and they will let you sample one before you buy
One thing to note is that you are pushing the limits of bringing out anything more than 2 bundles per luggage. This applies to nonbanded custom/farm rolls. Some ppl say they've brought more but you are pushing the envelope when leaving Havana since they want to make sure you paid your taxes. If you buy boxes make sure you ask for "Facturas" and have them for each box (1 factura can list up to 10boxes per sale) so don't say you weren't warned.
Hey there!!! Finally in Cuba and was able to purchase my first batch in Vinales, wanted to hold out till the end of the trip for the recommended Margaritas. Ill be heading to this spot in 2 days. Thank you again for the guidance
Consider this, cuban people don't smoke cigars bought at the shops. They get cigars from factory emloyees who give or sell to them. Also the govt gives out rations of beans, rice, sugar, and tobacco (cigars and cigareettes) from the "Bodega" a store that allocates these items. Also consider this: engineers, lawyers, doctors make the equivalent of -$60-$70 /month. For the average person, it can range from $1/ day including tips if you work in a restaurant, especially o e frequented by tourists.
The prices are not that impressive, about only 10% cheaper than what I get at my chop in Geneva.. I thought it would be way cheaper. Nice information thanks 👍
@@KimoKapaku They used to be less than half the price of other countries. They are going crazy and its mostly because of China. I miss the days when cigars were not so popular. Maybe I should just sell my collection and buy a luxury car with it.
Have a great trip and don't forget to make a trip to the shop to try the custom rolls! Especially the Margarita custom roll. Tell the ladies you saw their video. They'll be tickled pink!
What's the aging of the tabaco used in those custom rolls? That is the key for those low prices of the custom rolls. I bought similar stuff in RD, and the tabaco was not well fermented. There are no miracles.
Alot of the tobacco used in custom rolls is bought from farms in Pinar del Rio directly from the farmers. Farmers are allowed to keep 10%of their crop (although who knows if that has decreased due to production demands) the tobacco is often aged naturally rather than the sped up method used by the govt factories. While you bring up a valid point that tobacco in custom rolls may not be fermented with the consistency as the factories, I highly recommend trying different custom rolls from different shops amd farms as well as other well known torcedores to find out what your preferences are. I've given you a great starting point with this shop amd the fun and adventure to discover more gems begins here!
Hoping to hear Punch prices... I smoke alot of Honduran Punch and Oliva ... Just bought a 10 pack Sampler of Oliva for 21.00 shipped and box of Punch Pitas for $93 never had a Cuban... Most I ever paid was for a stick was $25 for a Padron 1926 If I was in Cuba I'd splurge I'm sure but if I bought a Box and they were inconsistent as I hear I would be pissed ... The Custom rolls look TEMPTING!
Thank you for watching the channel. Unfortunately shops in Cuba are not permitted to ship. I don't know what the rules are in the carribean are for importing cigars and even if SOMEONE were to send you cigars, they may be seized by Caribbean customs or you may be subject to import taxes but I'm don't really know : )
@@KimoKapaku much appreciation for the time taken to respond. Our customs regulations allow us the amount of 50 cigars for personal use upon arrival back home. Will make a vacation trip and try and locate the company. Much thanks again and keep the content coming ☺️

For those who live in states like Pennahlylvania where there's no tax on tobacco I cam understand why they see prices as ridiculous The same cigars found in Florida and Pennsylvania (non cubans) will be way more expensive in CA and NY.
@@KimoKapaku Very true. I live in arizona, so taxes and prices are not as high. Cubans have so many issues being plugged or wrappers peel. So that is why I tend to stick with those other brands. Now if you're talking a Cuban from 80s and before that would be hard to compete against. Have a fantastic Thursday.
I was there in 2019 Jan and it was a shock when I came back last Oct before the festival. I knew about the pricing news from Hababnos SA but I didn't think it would apply to prices in Cuba, only international LCDH shops
what country or airport have you found has the cheapest cuban cigars. i was in cuba early this year and tried my first ever cigar. i knew nothing about them so bought a few from a farm in pinar del rio but now wish i bought some nice ones.
The airport duty free shops that sell Habanos are typically pretty expensive. The only airport I have bought boxes at is Dubai. There is a La Casa Del Habano in Terminal B but you can also find boxes in the duty free store in terminal C of the Dubai airport. That being said, when you travel to other countries, you can look up if there are authorized Habanos dealers or an LCDH in that country. Your cheapest option is going to be Havana.
Consequently, I have not seen any shops in the countries I've visited whose prices are cheaper than Cuba. You can find my videos of visits to other stores on my channel
50 in your carryon, 50 in each checkin bag. You can use usd or euros but they are treated as 1:1. If you want to buy multiple boxes, then watch the video on how to buy cigars in Cuba for U.S. customers in the playlist
What's the duty when you bring back a large box. In Canada customs only allows one box of 50 cigars when coming into Canada. After that they charge a huge duty tax.
The tobacco duty in the U.S. varies and is more geared towards weight/qty but this applies mostly to cigarettes. Cuban cigars are illegal as are all cuban products. I've never paid duty so I can't comment how much it actually is
Hey Scott, did you find out what the duty is when you're over your limit of 50 cigars in canada? I'm going to cuba and wanted to grab more than just 50, too lol. Let me know if you have the answer
@salabate2127 thank you, I found this calculator that tells you how much to pay, and I was shocked! Do the cigar shops pay the same tax too when importing?

As for me, trust me when I say I cannot afford to buy boxes like I USED to when cohiba robustos were $20-$25/stick. This is why I have switched to custom rolls which are still priced reasonable and are amazing quality! For example, the price of the Margarita shop custom is the same as a typical mid tier Padron if not less amd you get to smoke a stick, (in my opinion) smokes just as good if not better than a Cohiba Siglo 6

Hi can these cigars be bought with local currency? CUP?
Can you please share a link to your store
I am here now. Coming in today
@@KimoKapakubasically American government created a monopoly to manipulate the Chinese and we are paying for it in this side 😅
Well F those greedy bastards.
Peace out!
Chinese bought 49% of Habanos you will only see the prices going up...
My filthy rich client gave me two pure and illegal cuban cigars by DIPLOMATICO and PARTAGAS. He went to Cuba and snuck them in
I thought these would be the HOLY OF HOLIES
They weren't. My local Nicaraguan and Dominican cigars are better and my favorite is from Lucky Cigars
LIGA PERFECTA NICARAGUAN RUM EXCLUSIVE
To me it's heaven on earth
@@ytpremium7649 That's because you "filthy rich client" is a tool and brought back counterfeit Cubans like most dopey Americans do. BTW they aren't illegal in the USA anymore that finished ages ago anyone can go there and bring them back for personal use, but most get ripped of by street sellers thinking they are getting a bargain like your buddy....
I tried. Couldn’t change to new world 😓
She put up with you asking and digging for prices on all those boxes,i give her a lot credit lol, Great video. The info on the Cubans and the prices is Golden , when you see the owner a woman smoking a 56 ring gauge nothing more to be said.

H.Upmann half corona is a great cigar, very nice sweet cigar, one of my favorites
The important thing is to smoke what you like and if possible find value smokes that still fall in your preference category
Uppman magnum 54s is $1500 here
A box of 25 short Churchill here in the UK are £750 or 980 dollars.... unbelievable prices... fantastic video...happy smoking...

Wow really? Can't believe it's cheaper in Switzerland. I may have to investigate this.
Did not expect the Cohiba’s to be that pricey! But will definitely get my hands on some to try
Thanks!! And in case anyone wonders they're double to triple that outside of Cuba.

Great deal if you found value sticks all around but I highly doubt you can find RASS or HDM epi2 cabinet boxes (50) for $16/stick or $726/50
The prices in this shop are great, most are about half the price as sold in the uk

Unfortunately for Trinidad lovers the prices have become just as absurd if not more than Cohiba. I feel for you braddah!

How do you go about bringing these back to the U.S.?
Wonderful video my friend.

Are these prices higher due to the festival? I was there this time last year, and I only paid around $7 Canadian per stick, and that was for Romeo Short Churchills and Monte open master. Plus, for every 10 I bought, I got one free.
Well you got in just before Havana adjusted prices based on the mandate from S.A. Habanos. The prices are now adjusted close to worldwide prices.
And BTW what are these cabinet boxes are they just 50 pice count or they are special boxes
Thanks Broh, I was just about to buy a ticket to Cuba on my trip through South America,
but the prices are exactly the same here around the corner at Europe's La Casa Del Habano,
so maybe next time or in the next life when Cuba is free of the communism plague.
Cheaper than the prices in Canada. I think you can bring back one box into Canada.
I wonder how Canada is with regard to boxes vs customs
Can you comment on the price of the Custom Margaritas? That's the only price I missed and the one I'm most interested in.
At the time of the festival they were $10/ but the manager told me they would go up to $15 HOWEVER she gave the channel a discount on customs if you mention you saw the shop on Kimos UA-cam channel
Will I be able to bring back a box of cigars when I go on vacation to Cuba?
@@jeronimojimenez1997 it is against the law to bring cuban products into the U.S
I am curious, let's say that an average Cuban cigar costs $20 per piece. What is the average hourly employee compensation?
Consider this, cuban people don't smoke cigars bought at the shops. They get cigars from factory emloyees who give or sell to them. Also the govt gives out rations of beans, rice, sugar, and tobacco (cigars and cigareettes) from the "Bodega" a store that allocates these items. Also consider this: engineers, lawyers, doctors make the equivalent of -$60-$70 /month. For the average person, it can range from $1/ day including tips if you work in a restaurant, especially o e frequented by tourists.
So the next time you think you have it bad or if cuban cigars are too much, consider what the avg cuban has to deal with
Our lives doesn't seem to bad does it?
The prices are not that impressive, about only 10% cheaper than what I get at my chop in Geneva.. I thought it would be way cheaper. Nice information thanks 👍
Exactly. The prices across LCDH as I reported in previous vids range only from a 10-15%increase in price
@@KimoKapaku They used to be less than half the price of other countries. They are going crazy and its mostly because of China. I miss the days when cigars were not so popular. Maybe I should just sell my collection and buy a luxury car with it.
Too bad I missed the festival but visiting Havana this weekend WooHoo! 😎
Have a great trip and don't forget to make a trip to the shop to try the custom rolls! Especially the Margarita custom roll. Tell the ladies you saw their video. They'll be tickled pink!
Do you have any suggestions good place to eat and visit while in Havana?
Was it in Cuban $ or USD?
What do these trips look like when buying so many cigars getting them to customs 🛃… bringing back to states ?
That depends on your answer to the immigration agent. I'll do a video to cover this
What's the aging of the tabaco used in those custom rolls?
Just bought a 10 pack Sampler of Oliva for 21.00 shipped and box of Punch Pitas for $93
never had a Cuban... Most I ever paid was for a stick was $25 for a Padron 1926
If I was in Cuba I'd splurge I'm sure but if I bought a Box and they were inconsistent as I hear I would be pissed ...
The Custom rolls look TEMPTING!
Great video and very informative. How does someone from the Caribbean place an order?
Thank you for watching the channel. Unfortunately shops in Cuba are not permitted to ship. I don't know what the rules are in the carribean are for importing cigars and even if SOMEONE were to send you cigars, they may be seized by Caribbean customs or you may be subject to import taxes but I'm don't really know : )
@@KimoKapaku much appreciation for the time taken to respond. Our customs regulations allow us the amount of 50 cigars for personal use upon arrival back home. Will make a vacation trip and try and locate the company. Much thanks again and keep the content coming ☺️
I'm just curious, but how do people from the US go to Cuba and buy boxes of cigars, get those cigars back to the US? Yes, the reason I ask is because i thought about going to Cuba for a vacation.
@joescopo8933 joe I am not one to tell people what to do, but to buy boxes of cigars in Cuba you can check out my video on How to buy cigars in Havana (for U.S. customers only
@joescopo8933 as for bringing cigars back, we'll that's advising on how to do something illegally
@@joescopo8933 if yoy have any questions feel free to email me
@@KimoKapaku, that's true.
I need to get all of her custom rolls- $5 for a custom robusto is very cheap
It may have gone up slightly but still the best value for the money hands down! No other stick can come close to price for quality!
Wow great video man but I will keep my Byron's and Alfonso. All these still need to age for 5 years before I even smoke them.
Byron's are nice but they are epricey as well. Everyone needs to come to grips with inflation. I just bought a qtr pounder meal in California and it was $12! For those who live in states like Pennahlylvania where there's no tax on tobacco I cam understand why they see prices as ridiculous
The same cigars found in Florida and Pennsylvania (non cubans) will be way more expensive in CA and NY.
@@KimoKapaku Very true. I live in arizona, so taxes and prices are not as high. Cubans have so many issues being plugged or wrappers peel. So that is why I tend to stick with those other brands. Now if you're talking a Cuban from 80s and before that would be hard to compete against. Have a fantastic Thursday.
the price has tripled since i was in havana in november 2019
I was there in 2019 Jan and it was a shock when I came back last Oct before the festival. I knew about the pricing news from Hababnos SA but I didn't think it would apply to prices in Cuba, only international LCDH shops
prices have really jumped in the past couple years
what country or airport have you found has the cheapest cuban cigars. i was in cuba early this year and tried my first ever cigar. i knew nothing about them so bought a few from a farm in pinar del rio but now wish i bought some nice ones.
How much custom cigars can you take with you on the plane?
How are the cigars bought there? cash ? Euros?
50 in your carryon, 50 in each checkin bag. You can use usd or euros but they are treated as 1:1. If you want to buy multiple boxes, then watch the video on how to buy cigars in Cuba for U.S. customers in the playlist
ua-cam.com/video/pefZX9jQNlU/v-deo.html
thx for your advice and the fast answer. However only 50 cigars are allowed by the customs of my country to bring with me
What's the duty when you bring back a large box.
300% tax over 50 cigars for Canada
@salabate2127 thank you, I found this calculator that tells you how much to pay, and I was shocked! Do the cigar shops pay the same tax too when importing?
Insane. Thank goodness for Nicaragua. I’ll pass on Cubans until prices drop considerably.
Looks like you won't be smoking Cubans anymore. My recommendation is to re-evaluate the Cubans you smoke and seek out value sticks with age and looking for custom rolls
