I don’t know if Helena or anyone else will even read this. This video made me feel so many emotions. I’ve been in a psych hospital for a month, trying to work on a multitude of chronic issues. I’ve realised just how lonely I am and how much I’m craving connection and company. I’m relying too much on others not to feel empty. I really hope and want to get to this point that Helena is in where I can go on dates with myself, just for me, and enjoy my own company and solitude. I want to be alone without feeling lonely.

just got back from a holiday abroad by myself and i felt so free and came back feeling refreshed and amazing! Can relate so much to the thing about people asking why you're going alone but honestly its just something necessary sometimes! And whenever I wait for my friends to do things years and years pass by before we manage it!

Side note: took myself out ish recently to get a tattoo that I've always wanted while doing frightening things for me, taking my partners car unexpectedly and going somewhere I've never been before, this for me was a self care and enjoyment moment 😊

Thank you for this video because I’ve always loved going out by myself but I’ve always felt disconnected. Not ashamed or embarrassed, just disconnected and distracted, like anxious on the inside and not feeling emotional with myself. Im learning to reconnect to my inner child in therapy currently so I could feel connected to myself as a whole , and in this video I tried to see myself in this video, and and I learned how to just be okay with who i believe I am now, in the moment. I don’t need to know who I truly am(because we are not fixed, we keep changing) or feel loving to myself all the time to deserve to have a time alone doing things that are filled with beauty.

omg i stayed here for two nights in the summer and it was the most wholesome thing ever! rye thai and mahdi spice were unreal for vegan options if you wanna go back again and if you wanna stay cannot recommend the hope anchor enough they provide breakfast, vegan sausages milk and butter it was insane, also the globe inn for drinks xx
i'm SO PROUD of you doing all this and seeing you grow so much!!! these videos give me a lot of happiness and motivation to do it myself

Thank you. I will definitely be trying this sometime. In uni I was alone away from my family halfway across the world so the experience of being alone was very painful (and especially tied to my ED because I would take myself on long walks and go to the grocery stores but never buy anything), one of my goals is to be able to be more comfortable being alone and enjoy it (it’s difficult because when you are alone you are stuck with those terrible thoughts, but I’m working on it).
