I remember watching this channel when I was 13-14 years old, wishing I could get a set like this and play the game with a legit controller. Now I’m 26 and I play rockband with my Roland TD-30KV. Time flies so fast, it’s sad to think about. It feels like that time flew in a few blinks of my eye. Next thing I know I’ll be in my late 30’s. Appreciate everyday you’re lucky enough to have
@EmattpoYou I still think the game has the best setlist of any Rock Band. The only problem with the game now is that rbn as well as the in game store doesn't work that well anymore. So when it comes to playing Rock Band now I play Rock Band 3. It's a shame the 4th one was weak when it first came out. Hopefully one day Harmonix will remake the original two games. I still miss it lol
Noods, can I just say, you are a great guy. Unlike most other FCers I watch, I feel like you are the one who is doing it most for his own enjoyment and not for cred. You are a cool person and, in my book, a Rock Band legend. Kudos to you sir.
I get half way through the song and then my forearms burst into flames and I have to run outside and dip the. In the snow and when I come back in the screen says failed you suck
Warm your fingers up son lol. Its mostly fingers that you need to play this fast for long periods of time. Takes a lot of practice to build up those muscles tho. But it's worth it, i play drums and its all cause of this game, thank you Rock band lol
I remember these days.. i miss them so much. Never had the opportunity to get a modded kit. But i stuffed my stock kit with so much foam and wrapped socks around every pad as i could. I made it to the top 50 leaderboards with a stock rockband kit. I remember playing these top rb drummers in 1v1 matches in the rb1 era. Good times man.
I used to be the same way, but I practiced a shit ton and my aim and accuracy got much better over time. It's not easy by any extent of the word, but it's a lot of fun! :)
I've never had pro cymbals. I've only ever had the stock kit. But I did get an electronic kit. Planning on upgrading soon since it broke already. I guess that's what I get for buying only a $200 kit lolz But I'm planning on getting either a Roland or the new Alesis Strike Pro Kit if it sounds good. All I can say is if you're planning on getting real drums, stay away from the ddrum DDBETA XP. It's way too cheap, broke within a month. Idk about the rest of their kits, though so Idk if they're any good or not.
+Tristan99508 when did he say that? he hasnt even signed into his xbox 360 account since april 11th of this year(8months) and he doesnt have an xbox one account either and rb4 has alredy been out for over a month..highly doubt hes comin back
Yeah, I think that's the only way they could chart it. Those long fulls shouldve been yellow notes, not reds though. This would be a LOT better to play on RB3 for sure.
Actually this is called disco flip and happens in Rock Band 3 and will probably be in Rock Band 4. It's just more realistic this way because in real life, drummers usually hit the snare with their right hand (if they're right handed) during 16th hi-hats. If it's charted as it is here, then Rock Band drummers can do the same and have a more realistic drumming feel. With pro drums you can move the yellow cymbal so that you can also do this, but I don't think anyone does lol
@rdw2008 Those add ons I mentioned have an effect on all the songs in RB3. In RB2, those add ons don't do anything besides in drum fills and freestyle modes. In RB3, the cymbals and double bass/hi-hat pedal do show up in songs (all the previous 2000 DLC songs too). Hence the new "Pro" modes in RB3. RB isn't a prick when you miss a note. It's just harder to get notes, that's all. The timing window in RB3 is very small compared to the one in GH. So, in turn, you can't hit a note late in RB.
@TMicah in a sense its not a typical game its more of a simulation only on drums well until rockband 3 came out. its a game that lets you play along to your favorite bands note for note on expert difficulty pro modes that is.if you love music you most likely will love this game
This video is a classic Probably the most watched video in UA-cam for any Rock Band video Noods Noddle is the master without a doubt When I first watched it, it had like 200k views
@xxlongswordpilotxx That's to make it easier when it's long runs of high hat. It lets you start with your right hand, and easily switch to snare. A lot of songs do that actually. Run to the Hills is a good example.
@HivmeHauembl3Bep its the destroyer pedal, you can get it at rock band parts, and the gibralter kick pad which i think you can also get at rock band parts, hope this helps
@bloodvein3 Its to mimic how its actually played IRL. Its two hands on the high hat, with the right hand, not the left, coming down for the snare. If they reversed it, you would have to cross your hands over each other every time you wanted to hit the snare. It just doesnt work.
@gangsterthomas1000 because it would be harder to try to hit constant yellow (high hat) then switch to red (snare) quickly, even harder for non-drummers/beginers so songs like Everlong/ Run to the Hills/ E- pro are high hat notes charted on the red pad
I just got an ION Drum Rocker set for Rock Band 3's pro mode. Bought a 3rd cymbal and even the ION set is amazing. I could only get about 82% on the stock RB1 pads and after playing the ION's the difference is like night and day. Pads are much quieter and 10x more responsive. My score on this song is now at 92% with the ION's. Also Rock Band 3's new guitars will own everything!
@mantman224 Red is the hi hat because righty drummers will hit the snare with their right hand, and it would be very difficult to do that on that drum set if the yellow pad was the hi hat.
@Jumpjet13666 Haha, if you read the description it says that he doesn't play real drums. Either way, he is damn good at Rock Band and I hope he comes back!
Hmm... Noods, I don't think I seen you make one, but could you make a vid or two on expert tips and tricks with a single pedle for people who have extremely hard times with the drums? You make it seem so easy, and when I go to try it, there's at least 100 different spots I have trouble on. You are amazing at rb1, 2, and you will beast rb3!!! :)
@dgco2 well. we all have our own way of playing a song. like holding the sticks. it's bout what feels most comfortable. and the way it is on WT is what feels comfortable to me.
@gwiz117 No... they are releasing their 6th edition of rockband as Rockband 3. (Rockband 1, Rockband 2, Rockband: Beatles Edition, Lego Rockband, Rockband: Green Day, and Rockband 3). Like Call of duty. Technically, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is Call of Duty 6.
Impressive stuff man. I play the drums in a real band, and also play a fair amount of rock band. Anyone who thinks you can perform like NoodsNoodle without actually playing the drums is a fool. That's awesome. Thanks for the video.
@IBiteFairlyHard I used Velcro and my friend used rubber feet he got at home hardware. velcro is good for carpet rubber feet is good for hardwood floors or tile.
@lacrosse8811 non of the high end Rockband people use HD T.V.s due to the heavy amount of tuning need to calibrate the instruments were you can just use a non-HD t.v. and never have to worry about it.
What I love about the drums on these games is you still have to have "It" when it comes to staying with the rhythm...I've seen even the best guitar players get dumbfounded when they try playing the guitar on these games....Not drummers like me...We can play this game and immediately master it.
@AlphaStrikeSquadron he said that is a videogame only, u have fun playing it. If someone preffer to play rock band than go spend time learning or playing real drums, then let it, its just for fun anyway.
I remember watching this channel when I was 13-14 years old, wishing I could get a set like this and play the game with a legit controller. Now I’m 26 and I play rockband with my Roland TD-30KV. The fact that he got 100% is insane enough as it is, but I loved the fills he had! Awesome job man!
remember watching you as a teenager , 24 now and i still think you kick ass man
I can tell you're a real drummer. Totally relaxed and let your fingers do most of the work. Excellent work!
I get half way through the song and then my forearms burst into flames and I have to run outside and dip the. In the snow and when I come back in the screen says failed you suck

This is where my love for music and percussion stemmed from ❤️
i can only get 255k i need those drum heads
woah Macie was here 8 years ago lol
checking in in 2024 and man i wish they would still manufacture drum sets! would get one in a heartbeat to play these games!!!
The drum sets might come back this year bc of Fortnite Festival instrument support btw
The drum sets might come back this year bc of Fortnite Festival instrument support btw
the good old days. something so calming about watching rb2 charts
Hearing Everlong just brings back memories from this game and also GH... Good times.
4:12 throwing the sticks ^_^

i can't even do drums on easy....shits hard...i always hit the plastic outside or the buttons...haha

Capri Sun NoodsNoodle said he might come back in rock band 4

jo jor I forget where but I heard him say it somewhere
+Tristan99508 He would have to come back on PS4 because you can't use Ions on Xbone and stock kits are absolute fucking trash
+Platinumdachi do u even have it on one
Amazing performance man... what drum set is that? And that pedal??? Sweet
Lol did the red bar change from being hi hat to snare? Fuck is up
Yeah, I think that's the only way they could chart it. Those long fulls shouldve been yellow notes, not reds though. This would be a LOT better to play on RB3 for sure.

where can you get that drum set from?
That's a RB2 kit with replaced pads and an aftermarket pedal setup. Back in the day there were tons of places to get kits like it
now you can get them only on ebay

@000fabien FC means Full Chart as in he hasn't missed a note the whole song.
I love the drum fills he makes, they're bang on with the song.
This man is a legend in rockband history ...
I *Love* watching my guy Rock Out on the Drums to this song on Rock Band 2! This Friday night it's Rock Band time!! YAAAY!!

The sticks throw at the end is amazing.
Miss these days!
Hope there's a next gen Rock Band soon, and I hope it's like Rock Band 2.
First off, dude... beastmode. Great damn job. Secondly, I was shocked you only got gold stars with 11 seconds to spare - that's a high bar they set.
@Dude8718 full combo - it means your multiplier never got cut... so you never missed a note and also didnt screw up the strumming pretty much
i liked the good old days of watching noodsnoodle. were did he go anyways? he was the best.
@bloodvein3 Its to mimic how its actually played IRL. Its two hands on the high hat, with the right hand, not the left, coming down for the snare. If they reversed it, you would have to cross your hands over each other every time you wanted to hit the snare. It just doesnt work.

i learned to do good drum fills from his videos.
THANK YOU NOODS NOODLE

@drzoidberg223 You mean the bass pedal? Oh that makes the bass sound, it also triggers the orange lines on the track :D
can i just say that 0:51 was just satisfying, and i wish i still had the ps3 and all the rb2 stuff because it's so expensive now
@mantman224 Red is the hi hat because righty drummers will hit the snare with their right hand, and it would be very difficult to do that on that drum set if the yellow pad was the hi hat.
