A lot of us programmer probably started off with Scratch or Python and then later moved on to more professional languages or softwares.
Griffpatch instead stayed with the Scratch community empowering a whole generation of coders.
Most Scratch tutorials treat scratch like a language only for beginners but Griffpatch has shown us that it is much more.
Without Griffpatch's tutorials and projects, I and many others would not be where we are today in programming.

I'm really excited for this, not because I'm going to join it, but because I realized the potential this has for ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE, to learn scratch and get interested in the programming world.

I don't believe you. Griffpatch might have used something like Microsoft Clipchamp (what I use for my videos) or Capcut (what a anime lover used).
when i was 9, i saw your videos and at the time i was a... basic scratcher. i didn't even have access to cloud yet. but, when i saw your videos, i was in awe how you made such complicated work seem like a piece of cake! And I've Been Off Scratch For a while, and i had to create an alt account so then, i watched your videos again, and followed your tutorials for so long to the point i was scratching to my bedtime! now I'm here again after 5 or so months, and I'm back at it again! thank you for all your hard work in doing this for all of us.
I'm an adult and I know how to code in other languages, but I still watch your videos, because having to translate the simple blocks into real code gives me a better understanding of how and why it works, than copying stuff off of Github or Stack Overflow. Thanks for all your help Griffpatch

I'm so happy that you'll be opening an academy for beginning and vetran coders! I'm so excited to see how awesome this will make people's coding experiences. The whole reason I can program Scratch games like I do now is because of you, griffpatch. I found your channel when I was 7 years old. Since then, I have been coding in scratch. I have made many projects including:
Custom 3D Raycasting, RPG with my own custom sprites, A plane shooter game, 2D classic platformer and much more including a few unfinished ones which are still under work. I can't wait to finish them with you and the entire Griffpatch community together!

im really happy because in 2023 i found scratch interesting for me again and found your projects i was 9 at the time and I like the game and ive been seeing your tutoials since november 2023 and now as a highly expert scratcher i still watch your tutorials and have fun

I've started to drift away from your tutorials at around the time that the scrolling mario platformer released, because I don't need you anymore I had figured out scratch and how to make good projects, but this is an awesome idea! :0
Same, but I still watch his tutorials because I might learn a cool new trick, like the squash and stretch video.
I still learn things from each of the videos. Never overestimate your own abilities, Scratch projects can always be improved,
@@FunnyAnimatorJimTV yes that is true, because the scratch cat jumping games, I loved that collision so much that I use it in every project, and I'll sometimes watch his videos in the background and sometimes I'll use something that somehow solves something else completely. But yes I learn new stuff almost everyday on scratch. But dude you are insane at making scratch games. It took me a week yo figure out how to make a sprite to bypass the limits of skins and stuff in fortnite Z, that shows you really know how to do stuff in scratch. And how you learn stuff from griffpatch is insane.

You were always my inspiration on Scratch ever since I was 9 years old, I'll try to get my little sister to join the academy if she wants to, I've been trying to teach her how Scratch works but I usually just end up coding the whole project for her lol.

This is Probably Going to be the Best Way im going to learn how to Scratch Even Better, Cuz i'm still learning scratch but i can find the right videos to help me get started ,some videos show the basis that i know and some videos show the more advanced thing i don't know so . since im still 11 ill try to get my parents to sign up and register on behalf of me

i would love to see you add the character able to go up or down in the y values in the raycasting tutorials like in your 3d maze game. i added a full working gun and flying enemys along with the rays=casting tutorials. my fav scratch youtuber luv u griff ❤❤
