Galaxy Tab S8 Plus
In this video we take a look back at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, the one many seem to believe is the perfect middle child between the regular Galaxy Tab S8 and the gigantic Galaxy Tab S8 ULTRA. I share with you what my experience has been, using the galaxy tab s8 plus for the past one and 1/2 years. The tab S8+ is set to see its successor in just a few weeks, but that doesn't necessarily mean that if you had your eye on this tab s8+, that you should immediately refocus it on the tab s9 plus. If you need a tablet right away, this is still the one to go after.

I really liked my s7's screen until I upgraded to an s8+. The oled is really nice and it is good to hear the base model will get it too.

I would have to imagine the Tab S8 plus to be a phenomenal tablet as I owned the Tab S7 plus for a while and have lately even been thinking about getting another Tab S7 plus. I totally agree about the Oled technology being highly superior to for example the the Tab S8 LCD TFT that Samsung dropped the ball on and did not offer it with an Oled display which is what I have. Don’t get me wrong as the S8 display is extremely nice and as long as you aren’t side by side comparing it to an Oled display that you will not be saying to yourself wow this display is awful. It’s just Samsung makes the best displays in the game. So naturally when I found out that the Tab S9 11 inch like my S8 11 inch that the S9 was going to be offered with an Oled, wow that made me upset at Samsung for selling out and cutting corners on the Tab S8 giving it an LCD and not that incredible Oled like the Tab S8 plus which I can attest and confirm what he is saying about the Oled display on the S8 plus being the best in the game is absolutely incredible because it was on the Tab S7 plus that I had. The clarity was out of this world! If I could afford the Tab S8 plus I would be all over it especially with the 8 gen 1 SD processor. I can only dream of how good the S9 series lineup entire lineup displays all being Oled how good they will be! Great review!

I have the Tab 8. Purchased a keyboard and cover that accommodates them both. Love it. Caught a great deal at Target so got each of my twin godsons one also.

Do you think the S9 tablet is a huge upgrade compared to S8? I dunno if I should wait for S9 or just buy S8 now coz I need a tablet for studies (reading PDF and jotting notes and stuff). And that's about it. Seems like S8 could satisfy my needs but thinking that it came out 1.5 years ago..not sure if it's good value anymore.
The S9 is definitely going to be a significant upgrade compared to the S8, but it doesn’t change the fact that the S8 offers fantastic value even today for years to come.
Love the Tab S8+ but the screen is too reflective for using outdoors and the battery life is pretty poor compared to my Ipad Air 4 (although that might be because I'm mainly using it as a UA-cam machine). It's significantly faster/smoother than the Ipad though, which encourages me to use it more.

tab S8+ is 599$ on amazon prime, sure tab s9+ is 899$ and its waterproof, but 300$ just for mainly waterproof id stick to the s8+ for now
Update on my tab s8+ usage
1. Performance is mostly great but it kinda lags a bit in genshin impact( well I'm not surprised because it is one of the heaviest game in android) but only in genshin not in other apps. To fix this, I just turn on the performance optimization (GOS off) in labs of game booster and damnnnnn. It is smooth as heck but in a expense of heat
2. Kinda hot in camera section when playing genshin (gos off) for atleast 10 min. You will notice it
3. Battery sucks, i expect a lot because of youtube reviews but in the real world? Nahhhh. I'm a heavy power user, mainly used it for entertainment, games and slight work. Bluetooth and wifi always on, lot of multitasking apps,etc. I tested mine with youtube only with battery safe on(max 85% of charge) and i only got 6hrs from 85 to 0. Its worser when playing games, sometimes i just got 3-5hrs
But man, you cant deny the experience. The software was great and over all, the samsung tab s8 plus is the best in the market imo. If you don't want that big of a tablet, tab s8 plus is the perfect tab. Everything is great, software doesn't suck unlike those chinese brands with lot of bugs. And man, the display? A lot of people ask me what tab it is just by looking at the display. It was so so so gorgeous, poppin colors and great for watching animes and movies. Blacks are literally black. In games, it enhances your experience just by the color (not to mention 120hz). But yeah, my tab can't last that long in heavy games
Update: turned off the protect battery feature
Yt playback - 8-9hrs
Genshin - 4-6hrs (depends on settings and if gos is turned on)
Watching movies - >7hrs
Standby time - this last me upto 3 days man, 3 days and i still used it for about 5 hours, working, playing and watching

Question: does the battery protection not cut the charching at 70%? So you have even less screen on time?
@@dernightlooord36btw36 After an update and a little more usage on my tablet. I think it learns my habit and adjsuted accordingly. My battery now is good, without the protection battery. Protection battery cuts/stops your charging at 85% which is good for longevity but come on, you spent hundreds of dollars, i think you should turn it off, just turn it on if you're going to charge overnight. My usage now last for about 5-6 hours playing games rather than 4-5 hrs. Its a good improvement over all. Just use your tablet the way you like it and it will adjust accordingly overtime

Yes you can, it’s still a good tablet - however make sure you do so because it’s really really good discount. Otherwise you can compare your savings versus buying s8 and make the decision then

Good question; Samsung is weird sometimes - in the past I’ve seen some of their devices be heavily discounted a couple of weeks before the new one, then revert back to normal price when the new one is out. I’ve also seen them continue to discount the previous gen before, during and even after the new one comes out. It’s hard to tell when exactly, but I’m sure the price will drop.
Same bro and this thing of discounting the price few weeks before release, i have seen it personally with mobiles. Finally I bought the Samsung tab s8 today with discounts. I got it for 43k INR

So i loved my S8+ but all of a sudden my earphones wont work but it charges no problem and the earphones work on my phone so im lost on what is going on😢
It makes sense to get the S8+ or Ultra even now with the price cuts. The OLED is only marginally better on the S9+ and S9 Ultra. But if you want a base model it may be preferable to get the S9 due to the OLED upgrade.

S8 plus is still good i have base 5g version and 8gen1 has enough power for next 2 years so no problem
I got tired of waiting for the S9 Ultra so I bought a S8 Plus to see if that will do what I want. When the S9 comes out next week it will still be a month before they start shipping

A little, but it’s manageable because it fits well in most bags
My Grandkids cracked my screen on my s8 Ultra do u think I can still trade it in for the s9 Ultra? the cracked is really hard to notice if your not looking hard
Every now and then Samsung has a section for trading in cracked devices, at almost same value as normal device, so you might be able to take advantage of that. Otherwise if you trade it in as non cracked device, they likely will notice but you never know

should i get the tab s8 or the ipad air 5? the s8 is cheaper but i feel like the ipad air is a better investment due to durability and longevity since i want to to use for college (4 yearz)
Either one will last that long. If you want more raw power or GPU performance, go with the Air, if you want flexibility, go S8. I believe I made a video on this
