Did anyone tell the directors and writers of that episode that they were writing for a show with notoriously low standards and not a blockbuster movie? Did anyone tell the directors and writers of that episode that they were writing for a show with notoriously low standards and not a blockbuster movie? Like I would watch an entire show based on that episode. Sam and Dean cameos would be nice but did anyone else feel that episode was totally out of place? It just didn't feel Supernatural. It was like we suddenly jumped sideways into a different show.
It was a pilot episode for a spin off that never got picked up...

It was like how in tvd they did the random episode of klaus, hayley, elijah, and the new witches which turned out to be the pilot of the originals. This was supposed to be a spin off but it didn't get picked up because it was too much like the originals.
