Just because they make it look easy doesn't mean what they're doing is actually easy. RV songs are freaking hard to sing. Did you guys even hear the notes Wendy hit during the video? A lot of RV songs already starts pretty high especially Red side songs that's why they don't seem to go up on notes that much

I love the fact that everyone who reacted to Red Velvet on Killing Voice was shocked by Wendy vocals. She is the ultimate K-pop boss in vocal potential, no one is above her.
Agreed. And I hate the fact that people don't even know that Irene is Red Velvet's Main Rapper. She gets over-looked and completely ignored ALL THE TIME. It's a damned shame.
Not sure how high you guys want them to go (because it’s pretty high enough by Kpop standard already), they are known for their versatility and harmony in their song with the high notes for Wendy (and sometimes Seulgi/Joy) but that’s not only the focus of the song.
I was hesitant to finish their reaction but I still gave it a try. I shouldn't have finished it lol! Maybe they can try to check the WHOLE songs first before jumping into conclusion about the song choices they have in this killing voice and how high they want them to go.
Fr, their comments were a little odd. I was a little hesitant to finish the video, but I did😅 They definitely need to check out these songs in their entirety and then make comments - because they clearly don’t know much….

They have Red concept songs that are more pop, refreshing and playful and they have Velvet concept songs with more R&B and ballad styles. Red Velvet is a top tier 3rd generation girl group. Honestly, they are higher tier than Blackpink or Twice. The reason people outside the country don't know is that the main vocalist, Wendy, fell off the stage and got seriously injured before the comeback. She almost died from serious injuries. So when overseas fans started listening to K-pop, they were not able to promote at all. Red Velvet is the team with the prettiest, best singing, and best dancing members among all three generations.
Almost died? How much do you need to exaggerate to win sympathy? She was severely injured, yes. Almost died? C'mon man, this is why no one ever listens to fans when trying to find facts...
On December 25, 2019, Red Velvet member Wendy had an accident when she fell while trying to climb a two-meter lift during a rehearsal for the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul. Shortly after the accident, her agency, SM Entertainment, reported that Wendy suffered serious injuries including facial injuries and fractured her right pelvis and wrist, and is currently in hospital for treatment. The accident left Wendy with injuries that lasted at least six weeks. She fractured her right pelvis and wrist, and her right cheekbone was cracked. She had multiple bruises all over her body. Recovery is expected to take several months. Wendy is currently undergoing a thorough examination at a hospital in Seoul, where the swelling at the location of the injury makes it difficult to make an accurate diagnosis. Red Velvet will only perform on individual stages in the future. Leader Irene will be the MC for KBS-2TV's 'Song Festival' to be held on the 27th2. The accident shocked Red Velvet members and fans.@@mentalmaker03
Wendy the first one on the left is coming back with her second mini album Wish You Hell on March 12! Majority of the tracks are rnb already sounding AOTY
As a Moomoo I agree, Wendy is the best main vocalist in a kpop girl group. Solar from Mamamoo comes a close second, with Wheein and Hwasa closely behind. Fun fact. Besides being the two best female kpop main vocalists, Wendy and Solar share the same birthday.
My first time here so thanks for reacting to RV. I love their discography but you didn't seem to vibe with it much except for One of These Nights and Kingdom Come which is okay. I think the build up you are looking for can be hard in Killing Voice as the snippets are quite short. But more than high vocals which Wendy does, RV is known for their melodies, harmonies and adlibs so if you enjoy that, would recommend diving into their discography.
finally red velvet🥳they are basically the female counterpart of exo, the same company, impressive vocals (not only the high notes count, but their agility is great) all rounder members and who unfortunately have received the same mistreatment from the company and from some kpop stans, just for making music for the artist, not for the masses, thanks for reacting to the killing voice, that's just a glimpse of what they can do, I recommend you look at a guide❤
About their songs 'not showing potential'. i think their songs do fine showing their potential and go well with their concept, dont forget this IS a kpop dance group not a ballad group. With their songs they also have a choreo to dance to and sing to live (more often then not) and by female kpop groups standard their notes go pretty high.
@@ds-zd9qz i don't know either. Maybe it because Wendy is the best female vocalist of the third generation. Seulgi would be a main vocalist in pretty much 90% of girlgroups. And despite Joy being a SUB vocalist she still better than some lead AND main vocalist in kpop. Especially from recents years. As for Irene and Yeri, despite being rappers, they are proficient at singing within their range and can deliver amazing live performance with little to no effort even while dancing hard choreo. So yeah, I really don't know why people say that Redvelvet are vocals queen. They're obviously overrated and have never proven themself to be amazing vocalist in their songs, variety show, concert or in public. SM (the most exigent and hardest compagny to get into) definitly dropped the ball with debuting them.
Same, only Wendy and Seulgi are the strong singers in Red Velvet. Joy is my bias in Red Velvet but she has a very limited range. Irene can sing well but SM don't give her any opportunities to show it. Yeri imo has the weakest vocal range in the group. Mamamoo are the undisputed kpop vocal queens.
@@ds-zd9qzIrene and yeri definitely could be a lead singers in other kpop groups like todays kpop vocal standards are so low for example le sserafim they barely can sing but still so popular I never understand that
They're from SM, house agency for EXO,NCT,superjunior, tvxq, shinee, boa, girls generation, RIIZE etc ofc they would be good at vocals cause it's SM (vocals powerhouse) .all idols from SM all of them are good vocalists
I didn't really understand the constant pressing for higher notes. They were singing really high pitched throughout most of these songs, especially when compared to the general range of female idols. Maybe since they started off singing high, you kept disappointing yourselves when they didn't go dolphin high. You can tell because when they sang in a more typical range, one of yall mentioned that they were singing deep lol. No that wasn't deep at all, they were just singing really high throughout most of the KV and you got used to it. But yes they don't do many *long* dramatic notes in this KV. They showcase their vocal abilities in more ways than just the generic kpop method of holding one note towards the end of a song and pretending to look like they're struggling. One of the reasons I like Red Velvet is their interesting compositions, as opposed to the cookie cutter layout of most kpop (I still love cookie cutter kpop, but I appreciate some weirdness every now and then).
I’ve been a RV fan for years and will say that these ladies are the best “3rd” generation K-pop group. Their versatility is unquestionable. Wendy,Seulgi and Joy are the best of what K-pop has ever put together into one group. Their portfolio is unmatched.
them saying the songs are not challenging to red velvet when in fact, very few singers could cover their songs at least good if not perfect as they are...... why? because red velvet made it seems so easy.... they have good skills, thts also why some of their songs are experimental and different... you can search "idols covering red velvet songs" and you will see the difference...... the difference im talking about is not about the style, but how the songs turned from great to...meh..
I guess I can kind of understand your complaints because their vocals do fit one type of genre of music very well. But what is appealing about them to most fans is that they're chameleons, in that they could do any genre of music and do it well. It feels like you were underestimating their music because of some weird focus on their vocal colors. Oh well, not everyone needs to like them. I'm just disappointed that you distracted yourselves too much to really enjoy the music.
I was waiting till they got to the Velvet section... R&B saving lives. They are a great group who can serve any genre. I love their velvet tracks the most. Wendy, the first one (fox) is just extra and we love her for it. You should listen to their velvet tracks that start at (Peek-a-boo) also add 'Body Talk' & 'Perfect 10'. Their most recent velvet track 'Red Velvet - Underwater' is impeccable R&B, hope you react to the lyrical vid. They vocally came to seduce and take souls. Great reaction guys.

Every song uses their voices as instruments, that's the highlight of red velvet. I've noticed through this reaction that you guys didn't get that. If you only care about full raw vocal power, that's not what you are getting with their songs or most kpop songs for that matter. However I've noticed you guys seemed to enjoy Wendy, one of the main vocalist, you should probably watch or react to Wendy's Lee Mujin's service because that will blow you away, like what you seem to want from songs.
not sure how much higher you want these girls to go....the songs already are being sung in the 5th octave often (G5 is usually the limit for most pop belters in the chest voice) during the verses let alone the chorus. But thats kinda of the overall training/talent of these girls, they make everything look insanely easy when its very much not. I would say, if you did enjoy any of these songs, try and listen to the entire song.....Killing Voice is great but they do have to chop up the song to fit all of them in so you're not hearing the song as it was meant/written.
I highly recommend their cover of “Milky Way”by BoA for her anniversary! I believe it was their first group activity after a hiatus due to Wendy’s injuries
I think they were referring to some of the girls lip-syncing along while one is actually singing because it's hard for them to know who is singing? I think? I, for one, find it cute that they love their own music enough to sing along while they perform. 😊
@@mentalmaker03 You're right but unfortunately Dingo Music has gone down the route of not using 100% live vocals. You can clearly see moments when some members are lip syncing, even when their mouths are mostly hidden by those mic filters that are intentionally raised too high on their mic stands. A lot of backing track is used, including studio version backing vocals and main vocals in each song. Live pitch correction mics with slight auto tune, vocal filter effects and post production mastering are used in this Killing Voice performance. Compare this 'live' performance with Mamamoo's live performance and even the raw version which was accidentally uploaded by Dingo Music and you can clearly see the difference between 'live' and live.
I feel you guys, tbh we as fans really want more songs like Kingdom Come and Time to Love because we know RED VELVET CAN SING. But, in Kpop it nearly impossible for groups to have a such a soulful song that you mention through out the video. Even Red Velvet is one of few at top on terms of versatility in kpop
SM Group never failed about vocal... Exo, Red Velvet, Taeyeon next TVXQ NCT and taemin from shinee... Cant wait for more red velvet... Bad boy, psycho, wilside, one of these night etc...
its SM vocal as expected, their in the same company with EXO and NCT 😁, The harmony in the song is what SM signature and compare to other girlgroup nowadays they are top tier, only SM group can compare with SM group in term of vocal
LOL, don't forget after all this is an "idol" group, their songs are for their fans, fans who buy merchandise, go to concert and member's birthday party, etc. Things you old guys like are not necessary those fans will like. Also unlike in killing voice, when they do live performance, need do dancing the same time
Bruh, the reason why i cant casually sing their tracks is because of how high the keys/notes are lol if they will go higher than that? Only Beyonce and the Diva queens can sing their tracks 😭😭😭

Hi! I really enjoyed your reaction! Your frustration is warranted, but it also definitely has to do with the snippets of songs chosen. Considering your comments, here are my recommendations for you, as a long time ReVeLuv: - Feel My Rhythm/Psycho: I mention these two first because artistically, they are the same. These may seem subtle at first, but I promise you, they are powerhouse songs in every sense of the word, song and music video. Based on your reactions to the beginning parts of both, it is WELL worth for you to listen to the whole thing. - Really Bad Boy: That song is one of the most challenging songs in Kpop. They hit some brilliant notes and it’s an experience to watch. - Either Russian Roulette or Peek a Boo: These are classic Red Velvet music videos and you’ll get an experience of Red Velvet’s concept here. As others have explained their dual side, you’ll get to see their Velvet side a bit more and see part of what makes them so interesting as a group. It’s super fun to watch. BONUS: Kingdom Come (a fan favourite in B sides- actually, the ENTIRE Perfect Velvet album), Underwater from their new Chill Kill album, Bye Bye and Zoom from The Reve Festival 2022 : Birthday, La Rouge from The Reve Festival Finale (another fan favourite- if I’m correct, it was actually a special release because it was a song from their tour, and it got so popular that they released it.) I apologise for the long and highly detailed comment, but I hope you’ll take some suggestions from here! Any other ReVeLuvs, please pitch in any other songs!
Only 3 groups EVER!!!! Have had 3 #1 albums in the same year.... the Beatles, BTS, and Red Velvet... They are going on their 11th year strong... Pfft terrible takes here

Thankyou i'm so excited❤
*FROM LEFT TO RIGHT* :
WENDY, SEULGI, IRENE (Leader), YERI (Maknae) and JOY.
I highly recommend their cover of “Milky Way”by BoA for her anniversary! I believe it was their first group activity after a hiatus due to Wendy’s injuries
Honestly I think you guys would like really bad boy, nearly the whole song is lead by their voices and the high notes 😍😍😍
RED Velvet : AUTOMATIC, PSYCHO, FEEL MY RHYTHM
thanks for the reaction ! We love red velvet !!
guys no lip syncing on killing voices they have backing tracks, but they are singing live..you cant belittle their singing ability
Psycho, Bad Boy, Chill Kill, Feel my rythm
I feel you guys, tbh we as fans really want more songs like Kingdom Come and Time to Love because we know RED VELVET CAN SING. But, in Kpop it nearly impossible for groups to have a such a soulful song that you mention through out the video. Even Red Velvet is one of few at top on terms of versatility in kpop
Is there anyone in your opinion more versatile than RV either rn or anytime during their time cuz I literally don't think there was or is rn
please react to wendy's lee mujin service (the girl on the left)
You should watch their full mv- psycho, bad boy, feel my rhythm etc
ABSOLUTE VOCAL QUEENS
SM Group never failed about vocal... Exo, Red Velvet, Taeyeon next TVXQ NCT and taemin from shinee... Cant wait for more red velvet... Bad boy, psycho, wilside, one of these night etc...
SM GROUPS FOR THE WIN♥
You guys reaaaally need to react to TVXQ/DBSK's Killing Voice.
HOLY VOCALS
its SM vocal as expected, their in the same company with EXO and NCT 😁, The harmony in the song is what SM signature and compare to other girlgroup nowadays they are top tier, only SM group can compare with SM group in term of vocal
Exo and red velvet in the same company these two are the vocals monster
Amazing RV!!
Anyway I missed your NCT reaction :(
you guys will definitely like tvxq's killing voice based on your reaction to this
LOL, don't forget after all this is an "idol" group, their songs are for their fans, fans who buy merchandise, go to concert and member's birthday party, etc. Things you old guys like are not necessary those fans will like.
Also unlike in killing voice, when they do live performance, need do dancing the same time
Only Bulldog is old 🙈🙉🙊
I assure you they do know what's a russian roulette....go watch their music videos, it's literally their concept
Bruh, the reason why i cant casually sing their tracks is because of how high the keys/notes are lol if they will go higher than that? Only Beyonce and the Diva queens can sing their tracks 😭😭😭
Please do TVXQ Killing voice too.. I'll wait for it :")

Hi! I really enjoyed your reaction! Your frustration is warranted, but it also definitely has to do with the snippets of songs chosen. Considering your comments, here are my recommendations for you, as a long time ReVeLuv:
- Feel My Rhythm/Psycho: I mention these two first because artistically, they are the same.
BONUS: Kingdom Come (a fan favourite in B sides- actually, the ENTIRE Perfect Velvet album), Underwater from their new Chill Kill album, Bye Bye and Zoom from The Reve Festival 2022 : Birthday, La Rouge from The Reve Festival Finale (another fan favourite- if I’m correct, it was actually a special release because it was a song from their tour, and it got so popular that they released it.)
I apologise for the long and highly detailed comment, but I hope you’ll take some suggestions from here! Any other ReVeLuvs, please pitch in any other songs!
Thank you! We will try to come back to this comment and take some songs! But the best place to get our attention is our discord =)

I thought you were kind of rude.
How so? We enjoyed them and only wanted to hear more of their voices? We did not mean any disrespect.. maybe things came off kinda blunt and straightforward.
They have easy songs ? lol till this date very few idols dared to cover red velvet songs
