    Former amazon customer service representative here, call amazon customer service and ask to do an A to Z claim on the purchase. Have the customer service rep write the claim exactly as you explained. You'll be refunded and the seller will be banned from the service.

      @@marioStortuga 3rd party orders are covered by a A to Z guarantee, the sellers are required to abide by the terms and conditions of amazon still. If they are using their listings to sell other sellers items and have extreme return policies Amazon will step in to investigate. Took a section of heavy pipe (about four feet long)with a dogged-on hinged heavy end plate. Attached it to an old log splitter with a round plate attached to the ram but just smaller in diameter than the i.d. of the pipe (well casing..?),and attached a hopper over the opening near the top when the cylinder is retracted. Cans fall i to the pipe, get crushed, and repeat until the pipe is full. Then, open hinged end and let the ram push the compacted cans out like an aluminum sausage...very effective and each "sausage" weighs about 10-12 pounds. Easy to transport..fun to operate

    • @TheJuanSolid
      @TheJuanSolid 3 роки тому

      It might be a scam, but nothing that will affect you. I think they buy the product using credit from a merchant, ship it directly to you, then never pay the credit bill, so your money is free to them. In this case they would not even pay the eBay fees and pull the cash out of PayPal asap then liquidate the bank account using a stolen, or fake, identity.
      I was shopping for a specific bike years ago a disabled person could ride. They get expensive, but cheap options are sold online by reputable manufacturers. I found one at 40% off from a odd named site like abc123centstore or some crap. I was fully ready to make a claim with my credit card company and used a one time use credit card number for protection. The product came directly from a big retailer but from one of their very far away B&M locations, like someone in the stores warehouse literally packed and shipped it to me. It also took a long time to arrive and my emails to their customer support were not responded to. I thought the site was a subsidiary the big retailer used to liquidate clearance items but now I suspect they were a scammer and I got lucky to actually get something rather than jump through hoops with my credit company over the scam. The product was 100% authentic as the manufacturer confirmed when I contacted them about a paint defect. The site was not around after a few months. I feel the last people to buy anything from that site before it went down got nothing.
      Fast forward to today and I see ads on deal sites for some random name sites that offer products at 25% msrp, just too good to be true. The one I researched had internet posts laying out the whole scam as it was way more obvious they would probably be sending you nothing and are trying to make as much cash as fast as they can before disappearing.

    I can see it now. JR gets the shop fitted with air lines to all the stations, and there is this one odd line going off to a barrel. "All right, we got everything run. I was wondering though, what is that line that goes to the barrel for?" "Oh, that's my can crusher of course!" "oh, why yes... of course. Silly me, why didn't I think of that"

  • @TheJuanSolid
    @TheJuanSolid 3 роки тому

    I did not see anyone mention it, but if you are powering the air compressor with electricity then there is some waste by not going straight for an electric only option.
    I don't know how much time this saves, but it is definitely more convenient then using your own muscle. It also makes a smaller can so you can take more to the scrap yard in one trip saving resources overall.

    We've had a pneumatic can crusher in our family for 30 years now. Pro tip: Drill a small hole in the can holder/fixture, dead center, opposite the piston and load the cans in the crusher so the open end is opposite the piston. The first time you hit a can with a swallow left in it and you _don't_ do as suggested, you'll regret it...
    I'd also ditch that top support gusset and thicken the base to add the structure back too (that's how ours is built). As long as there's a can in it, it can't completely close on your finger that way, but it would completely mangle you up the way it is now. We also always run ours with loose fitting gloves on.

I looked at different air compressors online but they’re all so bulky, and some reviews complain about noise. I need to be able to carry it around with my girly arms too lol Will this work with a mini portable air compressor? One of those they sell on Amazon that are quite small and you can fill up tyres with them. On of them that I’m looking at has these details:
    - mini air pump
    - 60 second fast inflation (for tyre)
    - Inflation efficiency is 15L/ min
    - Max 150PSI (10 bar/10kg/1000kpa)
    - Max continuous working time is 20 mins
    I don’t care if it’s not as fast or if it works for a short time every time.
    Thank you for your help! We have a can problem at our apartment and the allocated shared bins are way too small so really need this lol

      Do an A to Z claim instead and you'll get to keep the product and get refunded.

    • @cmcrisp42
      @cmcrisp42 3 роки тому +1

      @@WatchJRGo seriously don't do this, they will demand the item back, and they'll be able to charge you for shipping if they don't find anything wrong with the item. The best bet is to contact customer service and start an A to Z guarantee claim. They have a team dedicated to investigating sellers. They will probably refund you and force the seller to cover the refund. If this is a multiple offender they will ban them from Amazon and will do their due diligence to make sure they can never be a seller again on amazon.

    I see a cool can crusher that used 2rims and 2 tires, and one small electric motor. A sheet metal funnel above the tires and once it got full you turn the motor on, the cans go between the tires and get crushed and dropped into a trash can.

    Cans here in Oregon are worth a dime each so everyone saves em and turns them in. We use it to feed our cars and things. If you don't want to turn in your cans leave them out and the homeless folks will grab them.

      Well that truly sucks. We actually have a setup where you sign up and buy a bunch of green can bags and take them to a redemption center. They count up what you bring in and apply it to your account. When you have enough saved up you put your account card in the machine and it will ask you how much you want and it gives you cash back. We don't even feed the cans in, they take them and machine count what's in the bags you turn in.

    what you *NEED* to do @WatchJRGo is now create a 3D printed vertical gravity feeder (or timed?), a simple rotating disc that has a hole or holes to allow one can to pass through as "timed", so you could put like 20-30 cans in the "magazine", whichi s on top of the crusher, drops one into the crusher, waits for return, then drops another, so you could literally automate crushing a bunch more cans in a lot more time. And you could even make a double, or triple 'chute' magazine for even more and longer auto-crushes. :)
    Whos with me?
