Financial situation of a student is an issue. At times teachers pass knowing that student doesn't deserve but they know he can't afford. Overall fault lies with all ....

In a conference about education, the moderator is wasting time quoting Iqbal. Bhai, we don't need sensationalism. We need solutions. Stop acting like revolutionary politicians in every walk of life and try to mimic boring software engineers.

Many countries, like Japan and Germany, successfully teach technical subjects in their native languages, making learning more accessible. In Pakistan, Urdu can be used effectively if comprehensive resources are developed. However, English proficiency remains crucial for international collaboration and accessing updated research, so a balance between Urdu for basics and English for advanced studies is ideal.

Agreed with the panelist representing the private sector. Working for relevant skills for the unpredictable future workforce landscape is inevitable for us to sustain. Unfortunately, the host was talking so rude while taking questions from the audience. A host with better sociability could make it more pleasant #PIDE

In my opinion, Pakistan has lost heavily on what they had for something that they do not have. Pakistan is badly bleeding due to excessive obsession in Kashmir and for the pursuit of Kashmir, they lost focus on other essential things of Governance. Moreover, the job of the military is to fight war. They should not interfere in the civil governance since they are not meant for that. Pakistani Military establishment has made a mess of everything by pocking unnecessarily. They should know the role of a professional military in a sovereign state.

It's high time that Pakistan has to resort to a rehashed educational system. Govt should increase the budgets for Education, start changing the curriculum from primary level so that they are ready for the college level. If this starts tomorrow, it will take 15-20 yrs to achieve the goal ... Just replicate IIT n IIM 😊

Simply put, Pakistan as a nation has NEVER been serious about education (and knowledge in general). Religion has seeped so deeply into the school curriculum, a corrupt and incorrect version of history being taught, poor higher education standards, shamefully low number of books being published, famous people doing PhDs in how to harness the power of Jinns to generate electricity. Pakistan’s educational situation is as grossly poor as it’s economy…

Excellent subject but ruined by the arrogant host.
Host took majority of the time and cut many questions. Guests got little time to say and put across point.
Extremely sexist Host by cutting and disrespecting the lady guest. She was polite enough to not be harsh on him.
    Excellent subject ruined successfully.

Well, I can not NOT say that initially I admired the idea of this seminar/discussion with the positive mindset that finally someone is speaking about it. Two things bothered me a lot, one I could bear with unease and continued watching while the second one made me immediately close this video while thinking when the speaker himself is the biggest red flag and reason of the problem, what am I expecting from him. Just sharing in case someone else felt the same way...
    1. This female speaker should not just vomit out all the information in one breath, I understand, we all are stage conscious but it was more of a thought-provoking topic, would have been interesting if audience were just given more time to reflect and take something home instead of showering them with non-stop information. Some problems need to be highlighted and one has to stay with them and think along instead of unending yawping without any solid solution.
    2. The thing that actually made me stop this video was the way this most experienced educationist shunned/interrupted the female who was trying to ask a genuine question by saying, don't tell us your stories? Seriously, man?? and then you ask why our students are not prepared for 'real life'. The answer is teachers/patriarchs/ take voice away from young minds. I could feel what that girl must have felt at that time.
Dear Girl, if you are reading thing, should know I am so proud of you for still completing your thought and not giving a damn to such old mindsets.
And if you ask me what could have been the best way, well the best way should be to let her finish and then make a general announcement to keep questions short.

sorry to say , the host of the debate does not meet the criteria which is the essence of such prestigious sessions. Being the MoC, disagreeing with the panelists and putting the finger straight to the audience to take their questions , is not only absurd but unethical .
I think this is one of the major issues that we have imposed such individuals on the higher ranks of our institutions who even do not deserve to be the part of academic institutions.

Should a four-year old college waste its precious time teaching soft skills? Shouldn’t the students had been prepared in advance? Where had been the “sad” black struggler masquerading as a teacher? Was he too busy passing each and every imbecile with A grades? Is it possible for a Muslim ghetto to remain indifferent? Take the risk of bringing in the best curriculum, but it’s doom to fail because the rotten system ensures the longevity of millions of demoralized teachers. For a bright future. Hire “the best” and “the qualified” teachers. With high salaries. It’s no rocket science.

@@noonaafternoon. Pakistan society is profoundly uneducated. Educated parents do not send their children to schools. Even a middle class student is an imbecile---a blank slate. Take a look at any scene, let alone a political scene. A father of an out-of-wedlock daughter---a confirmed pygmy---shows up with chant of Mecca and Medina and the entire ghetto rocks. In such an impoverished society, profession of teaching carries a special burden. Science. Art. Literature. It's not enough that a teacher is an expensively-credentialed barbarian. He must be more than man with the right qualifications. He must be well aware of the intellectual developments that have taken during the Renaissance and the 19th century England. He must be aware of the vicious history of the Indian subcontinent. He must not show up in school just to pick up a salary. He must more than a mass man.
