Hey buddy, a new tutorial for grading, upscaling and noise reduction is coming out this week. It does however require purchasing the noise plugin and the Mavic noise profiles. The tutorial doesnt go into the parameter adjustments but rather shows loading an easy to use noise profile. The noise profile is designed for the Mavic, so it does all the work for you already :)
UAS Live pleased to have helped and the feedback you gave. Much appreciated. Yes the tutorial is meant to get the optimal video quality without having to be technically inclined. A very user friendly approach 👌
gogovitch66 you are very welcome. Yes there is a lot one can do with good grading. It's what makes everything cinematic. Other factors are secondary :)
Thanks for this video. Im from CT, had the Mavic for 2 months. Its just a hobby for me having no experience in this at all, but Ive enjoyed your videos and will definitely give this a try.
THANK YOU SO MUCH ! I got a blurry muddy shot with only white lights of the city clear. Thank you for giving parameters for night shots ! Amazing video !
Thank you Erik, hope this has helped you. Ill be able to cover some great tutorials. If there any tutorials you would like me to cover, then please do let me know
crazedGram you are very welcome and excited to see you Luke the tutorial. The noise reduction seems to be a good tutorial that a lot of people are requesting. Thank you for the wonderful feedback :)
ProCinematicFX I don't have a drone but I do have 2 gopros and a DSLR. I'm selling my DSLR to buy a sony camcorder. I'm using your tips as we speak on my next UA-cam video. The channel is called "Its Tipp Topp Fishing"
ProCinematicFX I'm buying the Sony AX53. I'm always on the move and outdoors in all kinds of situations. You know me about the nervousness. At least I got it out. It wasn't anything fancy but the info is golden to help people. Thank you for the motivation and appreciate you watching :)
It was great, thank you, a noise reduction video would be awesome too. Would also like to see the editing complexity of your cape town beach shoot to when you have time :). P.s. Your Mavic footage is the best on UA-cam I've seen, and I've seen MANY! Keep it up, I'm sure your subscriptions will sky rocket as it should.
ProCinematicFX it doesn't need to be anything fancy, the content was great, explained well, really good tutorial and a good pace mate. Really helpful for helping others including myself towards great night style footage :) really enjoyed it, thank you for taking the time to put it together.
Nice!!!...Great Tutorial. Thank you.. So. before messing with colors, I should throw RAW files into Neat Video first then Premier? you should make another video for noise reduction.
Chris Singshinsuk thanks for your feedback on the tutorial. I will do more to help people such as yourself. As for the noise reduction. You apply the noise reduction in the editing software of your choice and then followed by the grading with the LUTs. So it's all done in one program. So what I meant by raw is I meant the ungraded footage. So add the noise reduction first and then proceed to the next steps of grading. I hope I am making myself clear? 👌😎
Ruben Pereira hi Ruben, thanks for the compliment in the tutorial. Here is a overview which gets good results on noise reduction. It doesn't go into specific adjustment parameters however the workflow and results with the grading work well. ua-cam.com/video/grzZRdFVVMY/v-deo.html Let me know what you think
Thank you so much for this tutorial it was very helpfull for me!! Hope I'll get some nice footage like this with my mavic =) keep doing this kind of tutorials!!
The LUTS are fantastic and you will have an amazing time working with them. Very well balanced and when you push the parameters, you get very stylistic shots. Send through your samples. Ill be happy to advise
Amazing tutorial, great work. Question though, probs a stupid one - but is there any point in masking around the objects that overlay across the skyline for example the buildings, because the objects move position as the video goes on anyways? I guess you just use tracking for the Mask right?
Thanks for the feedback and yes you are correct. I didnt include the part where the mask was keyframed to match the movement. I guess people can google "animating masks in premiere" its very simple but you are right and the second person to ask this. It was a mistake to not include it in the tutorial. :)
Bro! i wil definitely keep watching your videos. I am a literally new to all this video editing, i would appreciate if in the future you could explain like the basics of editing. Im planning to buy the mavic to sell video footage as publicity. greetings from Mexico!
Trini Weekes Thanks so much for the feedback. You certainly can do this in Davinci by following these steps. I can’t recall exactly which LUT was used however the first question to ask is which drone are you using? SpectrumGrades has dedicated packs for the Mavic 1 series and a set for the Mavic 2 Pro. I use the Cine Collection packs which has everything you need. There are Cine Collection packs V2 and M2 for the Mavic 1 and 2. Just make sure you get the right pack :)
Yes absolutely. I'm just getting into videography after purchasing the Mavic 3 months ago. Also looking into getting a camera. Your editing tips & style are very helpful.
Thats amazing. The Mavic is such a great addition to filmmaking. Which camera are you thinking of getting and what type of filmmaking are you interested in?
I was looking at the Sony a6500, but genuinely have no clue :( I'm not looking to make a career of it, I just want to be able to shoot personal events, vacations, and landscapes in a professional and eye-catching manner. Like your videos ;) The beach video you made is hands down one of my favorite videos.
That camera is excellent and would highly recommend it. Great value for the quality. It can be used in proper production. Also consider the panasonic gh5. With both in the same price bracket you are golden. I dont use sony however I would be completely happy to switch to it. Good call on the gear. Its perfect if you go with it :)
Thanks for following, much appreciated. This is a good question and I totally forgot to track it. So yes it needs to be tracked if its intersecting with anything. If you shoot with a clear horizon, you then dont need to track the mask. Well spotted. Do you know how to track?
I'm still learning, but yes, I have done some simple tracking before. I would have never even thought about masking out the sky and reducing the exposure like you did though. Again, thanks for sharing.
Jason Harrison yes use 25p as you are probably playing your videos in UA-cam and social media. Only if you broadcasting is it necessary. Even if you do film in 25p/pal there are ways to output/conform to ntsc for broadcast. Stick with 25p 👌
Yes, it is very magical period. No, It's a lot of light during a day (sun is very high) and night is like a not deep twilight. sun goes out of sight at 10.30 pm and sunrise is about at 3.30 am. So You can see bright sky all the night
1.1 Review thanks for that explanation. Sounds interesting to live in an place like that. Would probably never sleep. I guess you are right with waiting for the season to change as lower light is usually better 👌
A new tutorial is coming out this week. So it will help you a lot with grading. Its actually a lot simpler process than you think. Check in by latest end of friday for it :)
Howzit Kai ;) Yes definitly try the night tutorial, so dont fly too late as mentioned in the tutorial. Keep your iso as low as possible. This tutorial would work wonders in a place like new york. Man that would be amazing :)
All this editing is great and it's an art. BUT It would be nice to be able to use this editing software to make the picture look like it originally looked with the human eye.. Probably no camera on Earth can do that with just taking a picture.. But wouldn't that be a better goal?
muzikmon2267 yeah there is a natural realistic option available which is actually brilliant. It’s called the pure pack. This question is great and is a subjective thing, however have you seen a movie without a treated look? Every movie has a color style that the directors implement. Even Kodak modifies their film to be more saturated as they believed that it always made films more memorable. As long as it’s tastefully done them you’re good to have a long lasting look to your films :)
ProCinematicFX Very true but sometimes it would be really nice to be able to see what something looked like in a beautiful scenery the way it was intended to look and the hardware be able to capture it.. Believe me I know nobody wants to see the same old colors of real life... That's why on their televisions they almost always pick the oversaturated Vivid mode that looks nothing like real life they just want to be entertained. And whatever colors entertain them is the right colors. ;)
muzikmon2267 yes for sure. I totally get what you are saying. Part of the experience is the focal length of what the eyes see as well as the colors as you pointed out. Agreed sometimes it’s almost impossible to replicate some scenarios. I’m saying this there are often times where one can. Just take a little work. Naturally it’s always better to experience in person :)
kw34ok thanks for the wonderful feedback. Yes this can be done in most editors. The principles should be exactly the same. Let me know what your test results are like:)
Many thanks for the quick reply - top marks for that ! Already subscribed ;-) I'll let you know how I get on - really good to know it works in Davinci as well. Thanks again !
This is great! Thank you very much for your great tutorials, subbed! One question tho, would you keep +1/-3/0 for every occasion? (Would you also put those specs during day light?) Cheers!
Hi Ian, yes for the most part I would stick with these settings. Only time I suggest going 0 sharpness is when the lighting is good and you filming at iso 100. Another factor to film at 0 sharpness is if you aren't familiar with noise reduction with the optimal lighting and camera settings. Does this make sense?
Wow, I cannot say enough how brilliant your footage is. After seeing your videos I'm desperate for a Mavic, I'm really hoping to shoot a lot of content this summer. Should I wait for the next Mavic if there is one, or should I just go ahead and get this Mavic Pro? Thanks man!
Thank you for your kind message. Well, I love the Mavic and I think it will be a while till there is a new one. So if your budget allows for it, then definitely get it. By no means is it perfect but it also is amazing in so many ways. Everyone loves their Mavic. Whats your thoughts?
ProCinematicFX You know what, I'm just going to go out and get one because you sir have proven to me that it really can take brilliant footage. It'll probably be a few weeks until I can get enough footage but I will be sure to use your tutorial and advice when I do. Thank you!
Thank you. There actually is one, but its a simplified use of it with the Mavic noise profile loaded. Here it is.... ua-cam.com/video/grzZRdFVVMY/v-deo.html&lc=z225zne4ln3bfhzxv04t1aokghojkt214cbcmore0u1ibk0h00410 let me know if this helps
Hi Roka, yes absolutely. They actually work better on the P4P due to its better image processing. What you got to do is film in Cinelike 0/-3/0 to use the SpectrumGrades packs. Please show me your films created with them. Will love to see
Great tutorial, thank you! But before I will buy the cube, I have a question. My footage doesn't look good AT ALL. I followed your instruction, 100ISO etc, also waited for the city/car lights to go on etc. No avail, the blacks are totaly washed out :-( Any suggestion will be welcome, what am I doing wrong?
Even at low iso one can under expose too much and will introduce noise. Make sure your exposure isnt too dark either. perhap slow your shutter speed down to as close to 50 and even go down to 25 if you find its still too dark. If that doesnt correct your exposure then as a last resort push your iso up to 200. Just dont go higher than 400. Ever scenario is different and one must play with that current lighting condition. Whats your shutter speed at? Hope this helps :)
My ISO is 100 and the shutter speed 50 like you recommended. Gonna try tonight more experiment on ISO and/or shutter speed and/or light conditions. It's a delicate matter as far as i can see ;-)
Yes its a delicate matter for sure, but my suggestion is rather slow down your shutter to make sure your exposure is correct. I suspect you are under exposing. Can you send your raw file so I can assess. Ill be able to comment properly on that :)
Hi Cedric, the new LUTs will be out pretty soon. This the announcement for them... "The packs are in development for the Mavic 2 and as soon as they are ready we will be sending an emailer out. We are developing the upmost quality product that we feel will be the top premium product, therefore the reason why we haven’t launched as yet. An announcement for the new releases will be made on our website. Please check in on the site for this." So if you can hold until we launch to get your packs. What you can do is also join our mailing list on our website so you can then be informed."
Hey Cedric, there are 2 packs out now for the Mavic 2 Pro. So you can get yours. If I were you, I would get the current packs and then request an upgrade at no extra cost for when the cine collection comes out (which is pretty soon) :)
How were you able to keep the sky the edited color (dark grey) while your camera moves? When I do it my edited sky moves while my drone moves. I hope you understand.
Thank you so much. Glad it can help. If there any other tutorials you would like me to go into, then do share ideas so I can make them. Any off hand you need help with? :)
I've realized that I need to get some ND-filters for my Mavic in order to shoot with a correct shutter speed. I'm really fond of those drone shots of sunsets/sunrises. What's your thoughts on exposing an image directly towards the sun? Anything specific to keep in mind? The last shot in your "Epic Cinematic Footage that rivals Inspire X5..."-film is soooo sweet! Btw, would also like a tutorial on how you reduce noise in post :)
Braeckster directly towards the sun isn't ideal as it can damage the sensor, but with filters it can reduce or eliminate that risk so as you've asked I'd say depending on the result you're after go with ND16 minimum but most likely a minimum of ND32 or above.
Good points Ryan, Yes ND filters are definitely useful for bright light. Im comfortable work with footage without filters as grade is first priority, then filters to help with slowing down the shutter. :) Sensor damage is possible. Have you ever seen what sensor damage looks like when filming into the sun? This will be interesting to find out...

Really great video. I'm a big fan of your work and can't wait to use some of these tools when I finally get my mavic.
Keaton Ditchfield Hi Keaton, thank you for watching even though you dont have a Mavic. Do you have a drone of some sort? Or camera gear you film with?
ProCinematicFX I don't have a drone but I do have 2 gopros and a DSLR. I'm selling my DSLR to buy a sony camcorder.
I'm using your tips as we speak on my next UA-cam video.
The channel is called "Its Tipp Topp Fishing"
Keaton Ditchfield excellent. Which song are you looking at? My suggestion is the Sony A6500 or the Panasonic gh5. They are amazing to film on 😎
ProCinematicFX I'm buying the Sony AX53.
I'm always on the move and outdoors in all kinds of situations.
I like it's BOSS stabalisation.
the 4k capability even though I shoot in 2.7k

and the Zeis optics
I know it's not pro grade but it makes up for it on it's other specs.
I hope it doesn't break because fixing it in SA will be a tough one.

all your videos are, you got a new sub.
Ragga_Muffin_84 appreciated my friend
Great video! SUBSCRIBED! :)
why 2.7 over 4K? isn't 4K scaled down to 1080 better?
Thx!
2.7K has better detail in low contrast areas. Its also easier to work with. It just looks great and overall better :)
ProCinematicFX is that just when shooting in low light ? Or at all times
At all times my friend :)
Noise reduction tutorial please kind sir!
Great Video by the way :D
Awesome, will look into it for sure. Anything else that you would like covered?
Bro! i wil definitely keep watching your videos. I am a literally new to all this video editing, i would appreciate if in the future you could explain like the basics of editing. Im planning to buy the mavic to sell video footage as publicity. greetings from Mexico!
Awesome video, I wish I could do this with Davinci Resolve 15. Can you tell me the name of the spectrum LUT you used for this tutorial??
Trini Weekes Thanks so much for the feedback. You certainly can do this in Davinci by following these steps. @@shawn3d hi thank you for you feedback, I am using the Mavic pro platinum. I bought the entire set of spectrum for like 85 bucks.
Awesome Thank you .
You are very welcome and thank you too for watching. Are you going to do some tests?

Amazing video. Thank you

lowlight video*
love it thank you so much!
Romil Ben you are so very welcome. Glad you like it 👌
Great tutorial, what software post please ?
Sailing Malanda thanks for watching. The software is Premiere pro and grading is with the SpectrumGrades Mavic presets. What software do you use?
Great tutorial. I just subscribed. Question, I don't think you tracked the mask - wouldn't this be necessary?
Thanks for following, much appreciated. This is a good question and I totally forgot to track it. So yes it needs to be tracked if its intersecting with anything. If you shoot with a clear horizon, you then dont need to track the mask. Well spotted. Do you know how to track?

Iso 100 on night shots ? In these video you used iso 100 ? Thank you
Try keep to iso 100 and make sure you arent under exposing. Even on iso 100 it will introduce noise if under exposed :)
Do you shoot in D-log?🙏🏻
super bravo
Hi Benjamin, thank you. Appreciate your feedback. Hope to see some of your night time grades :)
amazing!!!
Thanks Bruno, Hope you doing great :)
Very nice. Thanks!
Ooo wonderful channel I'm so glad I've found you. I just bought a mavic last week so excited to get trying this stuff 😊
Awesome! Thank You very much
Thank so much for watching. Hopefully I get to see some of your low light films. Are you planning on doing some?
Yes, of course I plan some night videos. But it's White Night season at my place (Saint Petersburg, Russia). So dark nights will come only in July
That must be amazing to live in light all the time. The light is quite low throughout the day right?
Yes, it is very magical period.
No, It's a lot of light during a day (sun is very high) and night is like a not deep twilight. sun goes out of sight at 10.30 pm and sunrise is about at 3.30 am. So You can see bright sky all the night

Thank you for this! I applied the color grading skills i learned from this video to my new drone video! Nowhere as good as yours, but its something!
A new tutorial is coming out this week. So it will help you a lot with grading. Its actually a lot simpler process than you think. Check in by latest end of friday for it :)
Looking forward!
what is the best picture profile for lowest noise/highest dynamic range?
What's the Music called? By the way AMAZING tutorial!
Hello Davi, thanks for your feedback and hope the tutorial helps you. I will look into the track name for you and get back to you soon
Davi Valente +1) some new retro wave music, i like it!
I'd really like to know who's music is this. Thank you in advance.
I need to know the music used in this video, please!
Just awesome
Thanks my friend. Did you get some value from this? :)
ProCinematicFX not yet :)
Thanks for the tutorial, I will definitely try doing a night shot. Also, are you from South Africa? Your accent almost sounds like it.
Howzit Kai ;)

Very true but sometimes it would be really nice to be able to see what something looked like in a beautiful scenery the way it was intended to look and the hardware be able to capture it..
Awesoooome!!! It is magic, We want noise reduction !!!
Carlos Sandoval excellent. Will cover that in a tutorial
ProCinematicFX THANKS!!!
Carlos Sandoval awesome 😎
I see you mastered the dolly zoom effect.
Its a great effect. Well done :)
ProCinematicFX thank you!!!!!
Can I please have the logo of the mavic, the one in the thumbnail? Thanks! It's perfect, and I love this video. It is very useful.
Qual programa você usa para editar os vídeos?
what software are you using?
Hi, its premiere pro and the SpectrumGrades color presets LUTs. Have you got them?
Really great video. Really well and simply explained. I guess this would also work in Davinci Resolve ?
kw34ok thanks for the wonderful feedback. Yes this can be done in most editors. The principles should be exactly the same. Let me know what your test results are like:)
Many thanks for the quick reply - top marks for that ! Already subscribed ;-) I'll let you know how I get on - really good to know it works in Davinci as well. Thanks again !
kw34ok yeah just treat each node as an effect layer. Same thing. Ask if there any questions. I know Davinci pretty well to be able to help
That's really cool - thanks for that - I shall certainly message you back if I get stuck !
This is great! Thank you very much for your great tutorials, subbed!
One question tho, would you keep +1/-3/0 for every occasion? (Would you also put those specs during day light?)
Cheers!
It does! Thank you very much for your time and reply, it is very kind from you. Will be getting the outs soon 'cause they look sick! Cheers!!
Glad I can help. The LUT's are amazing. Highly recommended :)
Thank you!
Cameron White perhaps you can also look at the Spark as a starting point. However to grade that footage will be harder. Are you familiar with grading?
as epic as last time :)
subbed
Thank you. Glad you love it :)
Frikkin badass.
Tutorial on your added motion blur in previous videos would be much appreicated!
Good call :)
Can I please have a name of this editing software for magic ?
Ali Jahan it’s the SpectrumGrades.com for the grading and noise reduction plugins used in premiere as the editor. Let me know if this helps
Thx for the share 👌🏼
Great TUT..please do the Noise Reduction one! So important to be able to reduce low light noise.
Thank you. There actually is one, but its a simplified use of it with the Mavic noise profile loaded. Here it is.... ua-cam.com/video/grzZRdFVVMY/v-deo.html&lc=z225zne4ln3bfhzxv04t1aokghojkt214cbcmore0u1ibk0h00410
let me know if this helps
Hi, it is work form PH4P too ?
Hi Roka, yes absolutely. They actually work better on the P4P due to its better image processing. What you got to do is film in Cinelike 0/-3/0 to use the SpectrumGrades packs. Please show me your films created with them. Will love to see
ok, super. you got me :P Regards
What app are you using to edit your videos?
Ewan Sabri I use premiere pro mostly. I don't edit on my phone but rather on a mac system. Although you can edit on any os:)
How would your LUTS look with my phantom 4 standard?
nice job with the tutorial. didn't realized you just changed your name from BlueHouseFX.
Thanks for you feedback Malik, Still finding a decent name for the channel though. Any suggestions? :)
Hey what WB setting do you use for night shots like these? Thanks
Great tutorial, thank you!
But before I will buy the cube, I have a question.
My footage doesn't look good AT ALL.
I followed your instruction, 100ISO etc, also waited for the city/car lights to go on etc.
No avail, the blacks are totaly washed out :-(
Any suggestion will be welcome, what am I doing wrong?
Very pleased that you want to help me, thank you so much.
Where can I send my raw file?
There is a public folder in the description which you can send it to :)
Do you have New Luts for the mavic 2 pro ?
Hi Cedric, the new LUTs will be out pretty soon. This the announcement for them...
"The packs are in development for the Mavic 2 and as soon as they are ready we will be sending an emailer out.
We are developing the upmost quality product that we feel will be the top premium product, therefore the reason why we haven’t launched as yet.
An announcement for the new releases will be made on our website. Please check in on the site for this."
So if you can hold until we launch to get your packs.
ProCinematicFX Thanks for following up
Wow! Thank you! Amazing tip!
You are very welcome :)
Great video with some nice tips, I actually did a similar one just now approaching it a bit differently :)
Wow look neat
Thank you so much Philippe, has this helped you?
Saw the night time footage, clicked subscribe. I am now going to sell my P3 4K and buy a Mavic Pro. :)
Awesome. Have you got your Mavic now?
My P3 is now sold and my Mavic is on it's way. :)
Andy Kelly congrats man. Exciting times 😎
how are you able to get this footage when flying drones is illegal everywhere in USA ?
david long 🤐
It's amazing! Great!
Glad you like it. Thanks for the comment Alex :)
How were you able to keep the sky the edited color (dark grey) while your camera moves? When I do it my edited sky moves while my drone moves. I hope you understand.
Fantastic tutorial, keep them coming!
Thanks!
Good points Ryan, Yes ND filters are definitely useful for bright light.
Im comfortable work with footage without filters as grade is first priority, then filters to help with slowing down the shutter. :)
Sensor damage is possible. Have you ever seen what sensor damage looks like when filming into the sun? This will be interesting to find out...
Just curious, why would you shoot in 2.7k as opposed to 4k?
2.7k holds better info in low contrast areas of the image and has less compression blocking artifacts :)
