@666deathghost Or Teitanblood would be a better example, i see death metal influences in them all tho, tell me, what do you concider "real" black metal?
Now this is proper old school death fucking metal. Ambience is key, and that they have plenty of. It also doesn't rely on blasturbation, which I have really gotten weary of. More power to these guys!
Damnation, revelation From the depths of catacombs Hidden the gateway to the abyss Where the Eye of Ra Oversees the Gateways of Da'ath Damnation, revelation From the depths of the abyss The unearthed, invoked spirits are many in their name Conjured from beyond the depths of a temple grave Time in itself cannot hold the everlasting aeon Call for thee, the innumerable spirits Call for thee, the Great Beast Call for thee, the serpent who holds the nightstaff Call for thee, as I receed unto my knees Call of the Aethyrs The cries of the Fallen Angel Follow the miasma from watchtowers Incurred through this summoning Tower of aeons Oversees the Tetragramaton Ancient amentet The hidden place Behind they stand, watching they stare The ancient Sahu is submitted A lurching force That cannot be explained Aeanu - I call to them Eanu - I am submitted
It's way better than Necros Christos, a band that everybody seems to compare Grave Miasma to. In fact it's the best new death metal band I heard for years. This sound is fuckin immense, the riffs are crushing, the mood is unreal.
@Vortigern9 Nothing like Incantation... No way to compare. Save the useless bigotry for elsewhere...This is Grave Miasma. This is Death Metal Levitation.
@666deathghost So, "first wave" basicly? I still enjoy some 2nd wave tho, but i don't see how you put stuff like Archgoat and this into that list, as this is more death metal influence then the list which is more thrash-based black metal. Whatever, it's all good. :)
Old-school death with extraneous black metal atmospherics, elements and affectations. Nothing in the structure or foundation to warrant a "black metal" tag, Muknal is an example of what I would regard as old school black / death; structurally and stylistically between the two, unlike Grave Miasma which is clearly based in death metal.
I am not disagreeing with you (only a little bit), you can't say it does not sound like Black Metal AT ALL. Because DM and BM have the same roots, and Grave Miasma to me is proper Death Metal, but with the same EVIL AS HELL atmosphere as Black Metal.
As I said, there are fleeting elements of what could be constrained as black metal with regard to the atmosphere, but nothing that relates strictly to the style of black metal, thus in no way could this be regarded as black/death. You can keep pushing it all you like, and pulling the trumped up "ignorance" card but that doesn't change the blatantly obvious. Just let it go.
Incredible sound. Tremendous atmosphere in this.
Crushing blackened death. Some of the heaviest strain of black metal I've heard.
AMAZING....SAW THEM AT THE RITES OF DARKNESS FEST,SAN ANTONIO TEXAS...BEST BAND AT THE FEST
Great gig in Dublin 2 days ago. My head is still sore.
fucking amazing-scul crashing-soul destroying - straight from the catacombs of hell DEATH METAL
@666deathghost Or Teitanblood would be a better example, i see death metal influences in them all tho, tell me, what do you concider "real" black metal?

Black metal lo mejor del universo.
Now this is proper old school death fucking metal. Ambience is key, and that they have plenty of. It also doesn't rely on blasturbation, which I have really gotten weary of. More power to these guys!

Damnation, revelation
From the depths of catacombs
Hidden the gateway to the abyss
Where the Eye of Ra
Oversees the Gateways of Da'ath
Damnation, revelation
From the depths of the abyss
The unearthed, invoked spirits are many in their name
Conjured from beyond the depths of a temple grave
Time in itself cannot hold the everlasting aeon
Call for thee, the innumerable spirits
Call for thee, the Great Beast
Call for thee, the serpent who holds the nightstaff
Call for thee, as I receed unto my knees
Call of the Aethyrs
The cries of the Fallen Angel
Follow the miasma from watchtowers
Incurred through this summoning
Tower of aeons
Oversees the Tetragramaton
Ancient amentet
The hidden place
Behind they stand, watching they stare
The ancient Sahu is submitted
A lurching force
That cannot be explained
Aeanu - I call to them
Eanu - I am submitted
You haven't heard much Demoncy, then. This is fucking awesome, regardless. Mystical and evil.
So fucking great! Pure Blasphemy worship!
Good shit. Something between Excoriate and Dead Congregation
And Incantation
Occult,darkness,evil!! \m/
Reminds me of why Deathcore is just, gay.
Warrrrrrrrr
@heavyclasicoperu80s Whatever it is, it's great!
True as fuck...
Sounds like Demoncy crossed with Incantation. I CAN'T HOLD ALL THIS TREMOLO!
It's way better than Necros Christos, a band that everybody seems to compare Grave Miasma to.

No way, NC is unique. I love GM, but NC is other level.

death metal darkness!
"Death metal" ? Not really ;)

Killer, fukking death metal. \m/\m/

it sounds like first incantation albums, brutal, dark, and blasphemous.
I am not disagreeing with you (only a little bit), you can't say it does not sound like Black Metal AT ALL. Because DM and BM have the same roots, and Grave Miasma to me is proper Death Metal, but with the same EVIL AS HELL atmosphere as Black Metal.
death metal directo a la vena
old school death black metal
ponle lo que quieras, satanic, occult, raw y otras más pero es directo a la vena (DM)
+The Mancruel metal de cojones para hombres y violar mujeres... hail old skull death metal
No, he's absolutely correct, this is almost pure death metal. No black metal here whatsoever. The riffs are pure old school death.
called it. this is black/death

If you like it, care not for a genre label...
