    Not as bad as I'd heard. People were saying you had to rip out the entire dashboard like you would for a heater core.

      Yea definitely not as bad , at the beginning I thought it would be, but there is always a better way. Best of luck.

    2021 needs new struts?? I have a LOADED 2017 (full of tools and shelving and ladder rack) with 310,000km and I'm about to do my first swap. You riding train tracks all day? 😛

    Did you replace the brake caliper hose after you let all the weight of the caliper hang off it?

    • @kennyadriankc
      @kennyadriankc  Рік тому +1

      No need they small caliper, not heavy duty, plus the hose its a straight it doesn't have any crazy bent on either end. Plus it's not an 10+ year car where everything its dry out.

      Hanging by it really isn't an issue. It's when people don't secure the caliper properly so it falls. That's when it can damage the rubber by having a sudden snap of tension applied when it stops the fall.

      I completely disagree. Any hose/cable connections aren’t engineered to be put on tension. It will shorten the life of the connections.

      @@livefreevinnie literally came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed that. I don't trust a mechanic that responds with basically "it'll be fine" to something like that.

    That wasn't too bad. Another mechanic had mentioned that the dashboard had to be removed. I was, like, "No way", so, I did a search and found this channel. Good job👍

      Yes definitely no dash removal here lol , when you do it by the book I'll say it wants you to do it that way but we all know there is always another way , that's where I come in and save a few hrs and a big headache 😉 thank you

      It is a pain to get it done but it can be done , used a flex ratchet 🔧 , look at every possible angle , try from under the glove box. I really don't remember how I did that part but it can be done I did not remove the dash no way. That's a nightmare on its on.

      @kennyadriankc I found there are 2 rectangle box ( it doesn't look like on other ford transit i found on yt) with bunch of cables but I don't know what it is , and in my garage there is some people use knife to cut the insulation material

    How long did this actually take you? Pro Demand says it’s a 7 hour job is that true or exaggerated?

      @kennyadriankc  Рік тому +1

      Hello yea no if you do everything it says for you to take out in order to get the job done for sure you will take that long, not my way at the most it I was there 2hr doing both side all done, the part I had to figure out was to remove that bolt for the lower control arm to be able to move it so the I could lower it to be able to remove the strut from it. But yes if I have to do another I could probably get it done a lot sooner remember this was me making the video as well.
