Yes I remember this show also. I never watched it but I heard that it got canceled without letting them finish it. I hear ya! It really makes you mad. That was been done to so many show that I really liked. If you are going to cancel it then allow them to wrap it up for people who did like it. I don’t see why that would be such a big deal. But like everything it’s all about money & politics and they just don’t care!
Love how your checking these other tv series out you’ve shown me lots of new cool shows to watch like this one it was a really good watch and there is for sure some deep dive potential especially in the later episodes

Hey James! This sounds absolutely mind-boggling! I got caught up in listening to you describe this show...I don't have Apple TV but if there is a book I may be inclined to read it. The comparison to Star Trek "beam me up"...the way you described it....thinking about it if anything went wrong you wouldn't be exactly the same after you were "put back together". I think there was a Star Trek episode where something like that happened! Anyway I enjoyed listening to you describe this show so far...you did a great job explaining it all, and it's a very complicated concept! Great video!!😊👍

Yup, I remember that Star Trek episode with Beaming accident with Kirk. That was one of fav episodes.

Loved all the Info! This really reminds me of Fringe. I really liked that show! I have Apple TV right now & I have Dark Matter on my list but I haven't watched it yet. When I read the description it grabbed me. If they are only 3 episodes in, I will try to go ahead & watch it and let you know!
I know Fringe has some great ratings but I never watched it. (in all reality I don't watch a bunch of TV, I spend a lot of time outside and other chores) - but it was on my list at one time. - I had to reorder the list several times - I realized there were more "hours" on my watch list than I had left in life haha
@@TWDExplained I completely know what you mean. its hard to fit it all in. And where do you start...?? Well if you really like Dark Matter then you may want to ck out Fringe. Its been awhile since I have watched it but they did alot with alternate realities. All the actors played two roles between the 2 realities and had alot of switching around like this show does. Fringe also centered on a son & father story that grounded it and Two old time friends & their beginnings & Fallout which I really enjoyed. I really liked the cast and writing. John Noble played this kinda crazy scientist but he was brilliant. He was my fav! There is a guest star that you will really like. My jaw dropped when I heard his voice. it was a cool surprise!
Haven't watched Dark Matter yet but it has a great cast and looks really good! Apple has some really good, underrated shows. Silo and Severance exspecially

Agreed! I have seen Silo Season 1 and was intrigued to see what they do next. I want to see Severance too but haven't yet.

Just watched the 7th episode. What happened in this episode I didn't expect
Hey just got to watch it. Yeah that ending - 20 seconds earlier and the fight would have been on! Can't wait till next episode. I'll probably do a video review of the last few episodes I left out all in one video when it's over.

I did! Yeah it's getting tricky for the fake husband! - and it will be tricky for the real Jason now that the box is sealed!
Yup! I am not really sure why he did that. I don’t know if it’s because he is comfortable doesn’t want Jason 1 to come back. Daniela 1 is getting really suspicious of James 2. He may not have it as good as he thinks. It’s going to be interesting to see what they do next!
Jason 2 sealed the box because when he went back to his Universe to get more vials for the investor - he saw that person that told him the other Jason and Amanda went through - so Jason 2 does not want Jason 1 to find him. But it does seem he is not 100% happy because of all the pretending. Jason 2 may end up simply trading spots again with Jason1?
@@TWDExplained Yep I know what you are talking about. I guess I missed that. There is so much to keep up with show. I am suprised that I am keeping up as much as I am. I don't know... Jason 2 seems pretty happy to me. He seems to be getting everything he wants & has changed everything to his liking. I think he knew going in he would have to feel it out & know what to do & what not to do. Like not knowing his son was allergic to nuts, he had to play it off like oh I forgot but too many of those will get him in trouble. I think the key factor will be what Daniela 1 does because she is noticing that Jason 2 is acting strangely. If Jason 2 feels that Daniela 1 is going to find him out then he may unseal box & go back but that is just my opinion. Jason 2 seems to know how to navigate the box & easy for him so he could easily do that at any time unless for some reason he can't unseal box or runs out of drug. He knows that Jason 1 is in box & not there and Jason 1 is having trouble navigating so him getting back to anything familiar right now is probably not going to happen. It could go all kinds of crazy ways !!
So, what did you think of finale? Sure Gives you new way to look at Shared Custody LOL!! - I was not sure how they got more drug to go back in box - Did you see explanation? No decision if there will be season 2. 1st Season told story from novel so if they continue it then they will have to make it up. If there is good writing then you can go all kinds of ways with that ending. Wow if that is way they ended novel, a lot left up in air.
It was good. Crazy daisy at the end with all of them at the box. Jason 2 gave them keys to a car to escape and put the drug in the back seat with that phone voice message also. I bet they won't have a second season - but they could for sure. The finale kinda showed everyone's state of where they are - the one I question is Ryan, coming up to Amanda and saying he's been looking for her. Was that the Ryan from Jason 1's world?
@@TWDExplained Yeah, but how did they get there hands on more of drug? I thought they were out of drug and were trapped in that reality. I sorta of like how it ended but in some ways I wish they hadn't left it so open ended. Ryan was most intriquing for sure. I am not sure which one. I am trying to remember where we left him. Sometimes when the shows are this involved I have to watch it more than once. I thought it was good show. I really didn't expect Jason 1 to get back to his family.
If I remember correctly, Jason2 goes back to his old world and gets more - so he can use it to send the black guy in - but either still had some or went back in and got some more from another world? The other Jason's probably didn't have any left.
I do think the writers of the show wants Jason1 to be the one we followed and the one that actually gets back to Daniella. Season 2 could be focusing on Ryan, Amanda and possibly some of another Jason? Jason2 left Ryan1 in a world somewhere - could have been the one Amanda decided to stay in?
@@TWDExplained I didn't remember Jason2 going back to his world to get more drug. ok that would explain it. I like this show but it is alot to keep up with. At some point I may watch it again. Sometimes I get more out of it when I watch it several times. Oh I remember that. Ryan1 stayed in that world that had the weird Blue light, Right? Fingers crossed we may get another season & get to find out.
Yeah I always get more on a second (or more) watch of something. Even TWD which I have watched countless times. But my problem is having enough time to sit and watch something...my list is so big of just new stuff, and there are so many old series I never watched and want to. Thank you so very much for watching Dark Matter and keeping in touch here. I hope to get a Episodes 4-9 review up soon.
I have watched the 1st 4 episodes of Dark Matter. I am Intrigued and I would like to see what comes next. The characters didn’t grab me like Fringe but I am willing to see it through.
Episode 4 really told us what was going on and the characters are all finding out also. It's cool that 'you' are the controller inside the box. Thanks for watching this one with me Caroline!
I agree that is a cool part of it. Many possibilities and you just have to think of it and could get you in a lot of trouble if not paying attention. If original Guy gets back to his family, I don’t think he is going to be too happy with what other guy is doing. I just kept going oh no.
So have you seen the 5th episode yet? I really liked it. Alot happens. I was little confused in few parts. I will tell you more once you said you have seen it.
