This series was epic , don’t know why I slept on it for so many years . Epic . Great The only critique I have is this part . In the first two seasons Lagertha had no problem with Asluag… I mean there was peace amongst them , lagertha would watch the kids , Ragnar a kids , from season 4 forward , she had beef with Aslaug with out context , as if out of the blue . To the point of killing her … she shouldn’t have . That was her sons brothers mother . The rift that she caused amongst her son and his bros was scandalous.. .. oh how the little piggies will grunt when they know how the old boar suffered . … uffff …
The only Largetha moment i didn't like, in season 2 they made made peace with each other. All of a sudden she's revealing she's held a two decade old grudge that she's willing to kill her for. Worse off she challenges her to a fight knowing damn well she would win cause Aslaung isn't a warrior
Her dreams are somewhat true not entirely but she did predict Ivar would be a cripple and while her prediction of Ragnar's death was inaccurate he still died
If largetha didn't killed her the whole despite bw brother had been avoided all that war can be avoided between brother everything is caused by jealous of lagertha she asked lagertha to let her live in peace but lagertha cowrdly killed her behind the back killed an unarmed person who surrender
Lagertha caused a bloodfued between the sons of Ragnar, who were clearly part of the leadership of their city, by killing her out of pettines. She set in motion all the strife that would eventually cause the ruin of much of Ragnar's lineage and legacy. In Anglo-Saxon culture, contemporary with this timeperiod, the principle of Wergild or Revenge Killings was well know. It was eye-for-an-eye until one family relented or was destroyed which is why it was so uncommon. This was a common cultural idea between all the Germanic cultures. Lagertha should've known better.
Lagertha never existed, it was a valkyria legend, just added drama to the show. Maybe she represents the need of war of Ragnar and how he must left it aside when the wife and kids come, but he can't help to go back to that way again, which leads to his death and his wife and sons too. Idk, but Lagertha is not history but mythic legend.
I think it was stupid of Lagertha to kill her. I hated aslug as a person, she was toxic. But she surrendered. Lagertha killed her just for own satisfaction, and jealousy for Ragnar. Then it led to the terrifying events between brothers because lagertha is childishly vangeful.
It’s kinda weird how the actresses who play mistress actually look like real life mistresses. Those eyes lips or the way they talk stupidly. I don’t know but there is something weird about mistresses 😂
She was hoping Lagatha would kill her the way she did as in single combat would have settled the score according to viking tradition but she wanted revenge so pretend to give up and not fight hoping she would be killed anyway, killed "dishonourably" as she didn't die in ritual combat and thus in doing so according to viking tradition the beef could never end and she would eventually get her revenge through her supporter's or children revenge for killing her without honour, she dident die with a weapon in hand to go to vking heaven and was shot in the back, something cowards (hated in viking culture) would do guaranteeing this rivalry between the two women would continue long after her death. In short in this scene she actually outsmarted Lagatha, that's why when she realised she got shot in the back she died with a big smile on her face as it ment the war would continue and Lagatha had fallen into her trap. Viking logic is something else... her husband did the exact same thing when he wanted to invade and permanently resettle England by guaranteeing he would die a dishonorable and horrific death on purpose as he knew after that due to viking culture their is no way they could let it slide and would conquer England just as Ragnar wanted. In that respect, thinking with "viking logic" her and her husband were well suited.

“I’ve dreamed of taking back my home” - after she left it willingly in a little wagon with all her stuff and her son. Lagertha killing Aslaug was wrong - Aslaug truly didn’t do anything wrong. She was cunning yes, but Ragnar was the one who slept with her and who wanted to marry Aslaug. Yet Lagertha still loved and respected Ragnar but hated Aslaug which resulted in her death… it didn’t make Lagertha appear strong, it made her look weak that she snot an unarmed woman in the back who was surrendering and walking away from her - Aslaug took care of Kattegat in her husbands long absence and that’s what she got
@Dreamfyre you are the type of person who blames the side chick for the man cheating aren’t you? Ragnar cheated on his wife in front of his kid, and Ragnar was the one who proposed a second marriage to Lagertha The only person who embarrassed Lagertha was Ragnar. I don’t blame Lagertha for leaving, but I don’t blame Aslaug for it either, I blame Ragnar. Ragnar was the one who was married and who had a wife with children. Ragnar invited Aslaug to dinner with a sneaky little request (I can’t remember exactly what it was but she showed up wrapped in a fish net, (dressed but not dressed?), eating an apple, with a dog on a leash) - Ragnar was every bit as lustful. Besides, cheating was basically normal for men back then. Aslaug got pregnant because they had consensual sex. She didn’t intentionally fall pregnant 🙄 it’s not like they had easy access to a condom. Ragnar wanted more children. He was glad Aslaug was pregnant, he just wished Lagertha would have stayed. Why else would he have had 3 more after Ubbe? But then Lagertha storms back, argues with Aslaug who tells Lagertha that Ragnar is dead - she doesn’t want to believe her because she still loves and admired Ragnar - accuses Aslaug of stealing her home when again, Lagertha left on her own, and then kills her - a retreating unarmed woman. Lagertha left, Bjorn left, Ragnar left, the only person who stayed to lead and keep Kattegat running was Aslaug. So much for being Lagertha ‘home’ - she could’ve come back to Kattegat when Ragnar left after Paris but she didn’t. She knew no one in Kattegat would take her back unless she had an army - so she got one, stormed into Kattegat and killed Aslaug - who knows if the people of Kattegat even would’ve listened to Lagertha had Aslaug not surrendered and announced that Lagertha was now ruling them.
@Dreamfyre also again, Siggy was Bjorns child - not Aslaugs. Bjorn didn’t give a crap about his kids unless he was bored and suddenly decided to care for all 3 seconds when he was around them. All of Bjorns children died before they could reach the age of 5, because Bjorn was a bad father Like father like son becahse Ragnar abandoned his children too. He would teach them one lesson, and then walk away for months, then would come back and play with them, and then disappear. He even thanked Aslaug for never turning his kids away from him because he was never there and Aslaug still never tarnished his name. Bjorns children were not aslaugs responsibility.
Lagertha was so gross here, she knew Aslaug was no fighter, she could’ve just moved on in she would’ve been welcomed. I was hoping a Ivar would chop her head off.
Bull. She is a Viking and therefore gave Aslaug the Viking consequences. Aslaug seduced her husband and took Lagertha's home in a humiliating way. According to their customs Lagertha is entitled to her revenge. Lagertha killed Aslaug in a humiliating way that befits the crime she committed. Why didn't Lagertha do it a long time ago? Because Aslaug had young children then so she wouldn't take their mother away when they were small, not that Aslaug cared for them, her kids almost drowned while she was sleeping with a hobo. Lagertha also knows Ragnar's son will kill her one day. This makes the most sense if she killed their mother. However besides Ivar the other sons actually admired Lagertha more than they cared about revenge for their mother. Aslaug was a worm and she died a fitting death.
@@Freya1412Lagertha is the worm. Her whole time on the show was the worst of the scenes. She left Ragnar voluntarily and once he was dead she stole his kingdom which he didn’t want to begin with, and made it a prison. Always power hungry

Aslaig was the true queen of King Ragnar who gave him many Sons, she never turned any of his sons against him and that's what she was destined to do and she fulfilled her destiny. She didn't love Ragnar and neither did Ragnar love her but at the end he was happy with her.
She nearly got his sons killed due to neglect cus she was having a mental meltdown. And your really gonna act like she was a great mother??? She singlehandedly nearly had ragnars sons die due to neglect alone. Your a bit stupid
"Ragnar died"
One is terrified
The other...
Two beautiful women in battle. The odds
I would never win...
Why killing a surrendering enemy from the back i never liked aslaug but that scene hurts
"You're cheating on me "
"Huh??"
"I dreamt it."
The funny thing is that there are people who actually do this.
Her dreams are somewhat true not entirely but she did predict Ivar would be a cripple and while her prediction of Ragnar's death was inaccurate he still died
Ig I’m the only one that was upset when lagertha killed her
The way she threw the sword of the king on the ground pissed me off.
If largetha didn't killed her the whole despite bw brother had been avoided all that war can be avoided between brother everything is caused by jealous of lagertha she asked lagertha to let her live in peace but lagertha cowrdly killed her behind the back killed an unarmed person who surrender
Asluag is unbelievable beautiful.
It didn’t hurt no line aslaugh the whore had many sons of ragnars
Lagertha never existed, it was a valkyria legend, just added drama to the show. Maybe she represents the need of war of Ragnar and how he must left it aside when the wife and kids come, but he can't help to go back to that way again, which leads to his death and his wife and sons too. Idk, but Lagertha is not history but mythic legend.
Aslaug has the biggest mouth in history 😮
Lagetha is the biggest ho in history 😮
ou queen Aslaurga 🥰😧
What is the name of the series or movie?
This has nothing to do with real Vikings.
Такая страшная эта Аслауг ((((
Just wrong the way she tosses thst sword
How she talking back a home she up an left . She was always queen
Ppl looked down on her but she did wht she wos made to do have ragnar sons
Ragnar may have been awesome tho he destroyed his own future for wanting more than he had.
I think it was stupid of Lagertha to kill her. I hated aslug as a person, she was toxic. But she surrendered. Lagertha killed her just for own satisfaction, and jealousy for Ragnar. Then it led to the terrifying events between brothers because lagertha is childishly vangeful.
I hated Lagertha after this
Wow. This is scary how this is real for me
She’s the one who died!
I would never win 🤷♀️ 🗡️
It’s kinda weird how the actresses who play mistress actually look like real life mistresses. Those eyes lips or the way they talk stupidly. I don’t know but there is something weird about mistresses 😂
I love the hair and bad asses they were
Aslaug ❤
Drama name??
This is a coup d'etat to take power. 😂
Це часом не "13" з серіалу "Доктор Хаус"?
Para mí lagertha fue una rencorosa con la persona equivocada.
What home? It wasnt your home...
😮😮😮
Aslaug was such a horrible side-piece 😒 it’s arguable that she literally started Ragnars downfall
In that respect, thinking with "viking logic" her and her husband were well suited.
where can i watch this
Goojara
Someone tell me the name of the movie please
Viking
c'est une série
Name of the song?
Snowfall
❤
I don't like "the fake queen".
Song?
Snowfall
Why did lagertha kill aslaug?
For taking everything she loved
@@ramoncruz1007That wasn't her fault tho, it was Ragnar's. Their son Bjorn is just like him in that. Ubbe is just like him in every other aspect except the drug addiction.
@@ThePharaoho Aslaug knew what she was doing. Ragnar is at fault for sure, but aslaug is not innocent in the matter.
@@ramoncruz1007 They both knew what they were doing...yes. It couldn't happen if he didn't want it too. He was the one who caused all of it. He could've rejected Aslaug, but he did it on purpose.
@@ThePharaoho right, Ragnar is not innocent. In fact, he bears more of the blame than her. But Aslaug knew what she wanted. So both are to blame.
Lagertha is so much prettier than Auslag.
That’s such a weird thing to say, you don’t have to put the other actors looks down. You could’ve just said you think Lagerthas pretty
There both pretty
I like lagertha better than aslaug though even though there both pretty lagertha has beauty in all ways
@@user-cn5vo1lf2ehow is that weird 😂 tf
One is a model and one isnt
Good looker 2
Lagartha cheated with rollo and held a grudge for something she herself did, hypocrite like Bjorn
Did she cheat or were they just together before she married Ragnar?
@@leehalloway8787 Her shame shows that she cheated and that Bjorn might not be Ragnar's
@@nathanaelamante8413 Genetically, brown hair is a dominant trait. Bjorn is blonde so it makes sense that both parents are also blonde.
If she did cheat, she didn't do it publicly. Ragnar was flirting with the other woman in front of his men and his son.
@@leehalloway8787 It's just a twist the writers decided to throw at us, bad writing but canon never the less
As far as I know she wasn't a cheater his brother would R word her! It's not like she consented.
A woman you've had children with never really leaves
No asluga is scary 😡
Team Aslaug❤️

That woman is annoying
Agreed Lagetha is such a biatch
I'll tell you what. She doesn't. Of course not.
Gets what's coming to her
If Lagertha was not selfish all of Ragnar sons will be together she destroy the Brotherbond
You're fuct if you really believe that. !!!
IVAR destroyed the bond of thr brothers.
He wanted to be king, he wanted to lead the army. It was broken from the moment Ivar killed Sigurd.
*KINSLAYING* spelled the doom of the brotherhood; NOT Lagertha. Her fate was completely her own; completely separate from what the boys had going on.
Ragnar cheated on his wife in front of his kid, and Ragnar was the one who proposed a second marriage to Lagertha
The only person who embarrassed Lagertha was Ragnar.
All of Bjorns children died before they could reach the age of 5, because Bjorn was a bad father
Like father like son becahse Ragnar abandoned his children too. He would teach them one lesson, and then walk away for months, then would come back and play with them, and then disappear. He even thanked Aslaug for never turning his kids away from him because he was never there and Aslaug still never tarnished his name.
Bjorns children were not aslaugs responsibility.
Killing her is 💯 % wrong for lagertha
@firstname3255 voluntarily?? He impregnated another woman and suggested polygamy, which she was NOT about. I'd have left too, any sane woman would have.
@firstname3255 power hungry is fitting after her power hungry husband left her and their perfect son for a princess. He could've just like offed her after she gave birth or something.
@@Freya1412back then the men could have multiple wives so technically lagertha is in the wrong here. If we are using a modern perspective, then Ragnar is just as guilty as aslaug, if she wants to seek revenge for the things she lost, she should have punished both Ragnar and aslaug, otherwise she’s just a hypocrite
This wamen is a scam
hate lagertha,love aslaught
