I like Replenish on a Sniper when I run Defender. I usually pair it with Weapons of Light. It gives you a full clip of ammo for dropping a bubble. So if you're out of ammo, drop a bubble, then drop 5 fools. This should get you close to another bubble, and then you rinse and repeat FOREVER without the need to find special ammo. I'm currently running this on Shadow of Veils since I can't get a Her Benevolence, and none of the vendor snipers have high enough impact to one shot with Weapons. Plus Shadow of Veils has bonkers aim assist and my sniping game is butts.
Yoo! That is sick. I bought a 3rd Effirdeets from last IB just incase i wanted to test out new perks. Thats my next roll. And yes it is 5-6 kills to a super with WoL if you're in a hot spot. Thanks!
No problem. I'd also suggest trying out Icebreaker with Weapons of Light. You don't need to worry about special ammo, and it's incredibly satisfying to constantly explode people.
Sliq111 yes! I've been getting firefly damage up to 51 with my Spear. It only takes a body shot if firefly tags them first. Do Icebreaker kills cause significant collateral damage?
Almighty's Daygon | Gaming & Entertainment I feel like it does the same thing as Firefly only with ALL kills as opposed to only precision kills, but I haven't tested it. I do know that I've gotten a lot of body shot kills after an Icebreaker headshot because of the explosion, though.
+Travissaur Thanks Travis! The principle still applies to year two snipers though. If you compare the stats and even the appearance of many snipers you'll notice alot of year 2 snipers are just reskinned year 1 snipers haha

In the Crucible I'd make myself use the sniper until it ran out of ammo, the switch to my No Land Beyond. After weeks of training, I went into my first ToO ever. I was ready. I got a beautiful Efrideet's, almost just like yours. Double Down Field Scout Clown Cartridge I got bullets for days, but I got the scopes I don't like (Sightsys, Longview (with low zoom), and Tacsys) I got used to the Longview scope, but I have to adjust every time I use another sniper. Also, I tried the Bubble Bro Cheesy-Cheese method. I thought I would suck at it, but I became a monster on my Titan! No Mark of Unbroken-ness, but I've gotten 10 killing sprees whilst being half asleep lol Great job, Almighty Daygon, for you have taught me how to be a masterful surgeon with my surgical snipes! XD

Y-09 Longbow Synthesis - Ambush scope - Bandit - Spray and Play I found it very useful for both PvE / PvP. Reload speeds are crazy, even more so when combined with gauntlets that increase sniper / special wep reload speed, like the Crota armor.
Brilliant video! For those that want to learn how to quickscope be patient and don't give up. You must first learn how to snipe aiming down sights very well and then you can start to learn how to quickscope. I actually learned how to quickscope not that long ago (around September 2015) and I consider myself to be an excellent sniper (i also have a large ego). Just don't try to quickscope all the time, there are situations in which quickscoping isn't as effective as aiming down sights.
Can't believe I missed this video, lol. Seeing it only now for the first time. Wish I had an old Efrideet's; only got the new one ... bought three of them last time they were available from Saladin. All three have different perk rolls, but all of them have Ambush and either Shortgaze SLH10 or Longview SLR10. My warlock's has the stock perk set that came with it from Saladin: Clown Cartridge, Flared Magwell/Lightweight/Hand-Laid Stock, and Unflinching. Purposely left it as bought because I wanted Unflinching and Clown Cartridge. Flared Magwell is good for somewhat quick reloads (but I currently have it on Hand-Laid Stock to help with the stability, since Efrideet's base stability is buttkiss). My titan's Efrideet's has Outlaw, Flared Magwell/High Caliber Rounds/Casket Mag, and Unflinching. And my hunter's has Hidden Hand, Speed Reload/Lightweight/Casket Mag, and Performance Bonus.
i was ok at sniping till i stopped having time to play destiny now i am a 1 day a week casual and i suck booty like no other human being ever has and my recent panic attacks and cold fingers/feet haven't been a help... gonna play today wish me luck and thanks for making videos you sir are one of my favorite youtuber's.
Just a small tip; you can place a small square piece of clear scotch tape over the screen where your sight alignment is to help you learn where it is. Eventually you won't even need it.
Low Grade with : Shortgaze Hidden hand Hand-Laid stock Unflinching have all of the other rifles with all perfect rolls fully upped but this one seems my fav atm since it seems very good in 1v1 situations vs other snipers/Thorn.
+puluzu I keep getting mixed answers on this. I have read quite a few people staying it does revive snipe and others saying it doesn't. Can someone pay video proof before I go rerolling my Low Grade and end up regretting it because of misinformation? Thank you!

As always Daygon...informative and funny...(you make it all look too easy though) you're one of my favorite tubers. I run Ambush on all my snipers. I have used the LDR with armor piercing back when it was viable....but had switched to one of my Spears that has Final Round and Field Scout when Trials started. Since watching your vid I re-rolled my other Spear and got lucky fairly quickly and have the exact perks you have. I love having 24 rounds to start any match...plus Firefly generally gets me 2-4 extra kills per match. Keep them coming sir...we are watching!
I was going for kind of a self sustaining build on my Efrideet's. Double down or performance bonus in the first bubble, field scot in the middle, and clown cartridge in the last bubble. I got all the perks and scopes I wanted, (ambush & shortgaze) with most of the perks. The Clown/Scout combo gives you 2 extra bullets in the mag when it procs. I'm using a her benevolence with a stability/ammo sustainability build. Just throwing out ideas.
I have two Spears (one from Dark Below and the other from House of Wolves) and they're easily my favorite snipers. My Dark Below version has Tacsys, Performance Bonus, Mulligan, and Field Scout. Performance Bonus tends to proc a whole bunch for me so I'll get 3-5 extra bullets after kills, while Mulligan might give me another chance if I miss my shot. Top that off with field scout and I have tons of ammo. My second Spear has ambush, outlaw, performance bonus and hand-laid stock. the second one is far easier to quick scope with, but I prefer my other one for things like Iron Banner or raids purely because I've had way more practice with Tacsys and Shortgaze.
I use the same things you do except for field scout I don't have it on my LDR, but everything else I have! Thanks for teaching me these tricks I will put them in use for Crucible

You're a really funny dude, earned another subscriber here :) Also, don't know if you were going for the Christopher Walken impression around the beginning, but hey, it was pretty good, 9 outta 10.
No Land Beyond is my favorite, and I'm not even joking. The fact that I can snipe and shotgun in the same crucible match is awesome. Before you dis this sniper, let me just say all you really need to get used to is the scope and you're golden. Also, when using 1000 yard stare, or any of those other snipers, you have to make the head shot to get the kill, so why not use No Land Beyond? This sniper has incredible range, and the big thing is after each death / match (Mainly Trials), you regenerate all 12 ammo since it's a sniper in the primary slot. Idk, some might agree with me, and some might not, but I think it's totally amazing for quick-scoping, dragging, etc., etc., and I always use it in Trials alongside my Party Crasher +1.
My current favorite sniper is probably efrideets spear, which is in a close tie with my praedyths. Since I can't get pre HoW ones I have the new ones. Outlaw, hidden hand, unflinching, hand-laid stock, performance bonus are my favorites.
Forgot to mention I have a her benevolence but I just need to roll it for some good perks. I would've liked show of veils but it doesn't have ambush scope which is the only scope I use, and as you said switching to a different scope can make handling the gun feel different. My current efrideet's has outlaw, unflinching, hand-laid stock, and ambush scope.
For some reason I dismantled my Efrideets Spear (old school), I was going to reroll it for those old school perks and get a perfectly rolled sniper. TTK better introduce high impact, rerollable snipers. Hopefully they tweak and bring back all of the old perks so they can be on every weapon.
I roll with a spear that has shortgaze, double down, field scout, and clown cartridge. I love it. Clown cartridge gives me two free bullets on reload so more often than not I get bullets back similar to performance bonus.

And to jabber on a bit more I've taken a real liking to the shortgaze sight as well as the edrideets, unfortunately mines dlc 2 so that means no field scout for me :( and casket mag just needs to disappear, so it's hidden hand, snapshot and surplus for me. +Mightea | Gaming & Entertainment my biggest problem is the time to zoom. I'm usually always on sight with people's heads because I aim for the headshots. When I use weapons like TLW, mida, suros or bad juju I can ads and immediately start picking off heads. But the scoping on a sniper just feels to slow. these videos are great. they've helped me allot. Not just with sniping, but with all weapons. keep up the good work man.
The Spear is by far my favorite weapon, in terms of snipers anyways, my main Spear has Unflinching, AP Rounds, and Final Round while my second Spear has Unflinching,AP Rounds, and Clown Cartridge. The LDR would be tied with the Revenge for my second favorite sniper, followed by the Eye.
I also have been fond of using my Efrideets Spear with Ambush, Double Down and Field Scout. It has Mulligan on it cuz muh poor weapon parts but that perk doesn't matter much to me. I also have been using a Benevolence with Ambush, Hidden Hand, and Snapshot. Great video as always, always entertaining, comedic and informative.
Yea I had mulligan once. Then found out it procs 5% of the time you miss shots lol.. thats 1 free bullet every 20 shots missed .. come on @Bungie, where's the faith?

I recently just started using a Longbow Synthesis that I put in the vault and forgot about. Its an absolute animal. Ambush, double down, field scout, and clown cartridge. I never run out of ammo, and can still pop the recently revived in the melon with one shot.
my favorite sniper right now has to be my LDR with the tacsys scope, clown cartridge and more ammo drop. i know its not too much of a pvp sniper because of the perks but i still use it there and its pretty good. and i always try to get the tacsys scope on every sniper i get, prefer it over the ambush

I might be stupid.. probably am.. but I've been playing destiny since December and COD even before that and I never thought to pre adjust down and to the right of my target.. I always just did the drag after adjusting to head level.. thanks for the video though I really appreciate it!

My gameplay in destiny has completely changed because of you Mr Daygoon! Switched to jumper getting better with a sniper what's next? Seriously though I have much more fun playing crucible with jumper now, but it took tons of derpy moments before my muscle memory made the adjustment. Thanks for the helpful videos!
natorious76 Same here, man. I switched to Jumper because of Daygon and did a full set of PvE bounties to get used to it. It felt really goofy for a while, but once I got used to it, I couldn't believe how much it improved my game in PvP. My K/D has improved considerably and my total kill counts have skyrocketed.
Totally understand the derpy moments when getting used to jumper. The amount of wasted fists of havoc's/bubbles on absolutely nothing when you try jumping, and all your teammates are like wtf haha
+Chris Phillips changes your button layout on your controller. L2 is the jump button which makes it much easier to aim in the air and keeps right thumb from having to move off of the right stick as often. It's in your settings
Curious, how to do so precisely move up to head level. Not how do you know where it is, because that just takes time to figure out until you've memorized it. How do you put your scope up and down exactly where head level is in one motion. Seems insane. lol.
i use a rare sniper called civilian applications with shortgaze, final round and armor piercing rounds (mine does 294 arc damage). u can get it from vanguard roc. it has the same base stats (RoF, impact) as the efrideets and black hammer. i use it all the time, and i even use it over my final round efrideets and LDR.. great sniper u should try and get it
As much as I love my Longbow (which doesn't have field scout so I'm always ammo challenged) I have recently moved on to the Shadow of Aim Assist (I mean Shadow of Veils) -- some of the twitch shots I nail surprise even me. I keep a Her Benevolence with hidden hand but I didn't roll Ambush or Short Gaze (the latter being my preferred scope). I do like the Longview scope but few maps are long enough range for it.

Also, Almighty's Daygon | Gaming & Entertainment you should try your warlock op build with the ram and radiant skin and use red death while in radiance... you become an unstoppable force with the health regeneration from red death. my fave scope is the 'tacsls' because it has the circle around the reticle with unflinching and double down paired with snapshot on a her benevolence

True that, though in of rolls i had "Armour piercing rounds" and that is allows you to kill.

I have used the LDR with armor piercing back when it was viable....but had switched to one of my Spears that has Final Round and Field Scout when Trials started. Since watching your vid I re-rolled my other Spear and got lucky fairly quickly and have the exact perks you have. I love having 24 rounds to start any match...plus Firefly generally gets me 2-4 extra kills per match. Keep them coming sir...we are watching!
I was going for kind of a self sustaining build on my Efrideet's. Double down or performance bonus in the first bubble, field scot in the middle, and clown cartridge in the last bubble. I got all the perks and scopes I wanted, (ambush & shortgaze) with most of the perks. The Clown/Scout combo gives you 2 extra bullets in the mag when it procs. I'm using a her benevolence with a stability/ammo sustainability build. Just throwing out ideas.
I have two Spears (one from Dark Below and the other from House of Wolves) and they're easily my favorite snipers. My Dark Below version has Tacsys, Performance Bonus, Mulligan, and Field Scout. Performance Bonus tends to proc a whole bunch for me so I'll get 3-5 extra bullets after kills, while Mulligan might give me another chance if I miss my shot. Top that off with field scout and I have tons of ammo.
My second Spear has ambush, outlaw, performance bonus and hand-laid stock. the second one is far easier to quick scope with, but I prefer my other one for things like Iron Banner or raids purely because I've had way more practice with Tacsys and Shortgaze.

No Land Beyond is my favorite, and I'm not even joking. The fact that I can snipe and shotgun in the same crucible match is awesome. Before you dis this sniper, let me just say all you really need to get used to is the scope and you're golden. Also, when using 1000 yard stare, or any of those other snipers, you have to make the head shot to get the kill, so why not use No Land Beyond? This sniper has incredible range, and the big thing is after each death / match (Mainly Trials), you regenerate all 12 ammo since it's a sniper in the primary slot. Idk, some might agree with me, and some might not, but I think it's totally amazing for quick-scoping, dragging, etc., etc., and I always use it in Trials alongside my Party Crasher +1.

My current favorite sniper is probably efrideets spear, which is in a close tie with my praedyths. Since I can't get pre HoW ones I have the new ones. Outlaw, hidden hand, unflinching, hand-laid stock, performance bonus are my favorites.
Forgot to mention I have a her benevolence but I just need to roll it for some good perks. I would've liked show of veils but it doesn't have ambush scope which is the only scope I use, and as you said switching to a different scope can make handling the gun feel different. My current efrideet's has outlaw, unflinching, hand-laid stock, and ambush scope.
For some reason I dismantled my Efrideets Spear (old school), I was going to reroll it for those old school perks and get a perfectly rolled sniper. TTK better introduce high impact, rerollable snipers. Hopefully they tweak and bring back all of the old perks so they can be on every weapon.
I roll with a spear that has shortgaze, double down, field scout, and clown cartridge. I love it. Clown cartridge gives me two free bullets on reload so more often than not I get bullets back similar to performance bonus.

And to jabber on a bit more I've taken a real liking to the shortgaze sight as well as the edrideets, unfortunately mines dlc 2 so that means no field scout for me :( and casket mag just needs to disappear, so it's hidden hand, snapshot and surplus for me.

+Mightea | Gaming & Entertainment my biggest problem is the time to zoom. I'm usually always on sight with people's heads because I aim for the headshots. When I use weapons like TLW, mida, suros or bad juju I can ads and immediately start picking off heads. But the scoping on a sniper just feels to slow. these videos are great. they've helped me allot. Not just with sniping, but with all weapons. keep up the good work man.

The Spear is by far my favorite weapon, in terms of snipers anyways, my main Spear has Unflinching, AP Rounds, and Final Round while my second Spear has Unflinching,AP Rounds, and Clown Cartridge. The LDR would be tied with the Revenge for my second favorite sniper, followed by the Eye.
Preadyth is still my fave but been running the Shadow of Veils and Her Benevolence recently

I also have been fond of using my Efrideets Spear with Ambush, Double Down and Field Scout. It has Mulligan on it cuz muh poor weapon parts but that perk doesn't matter much to me. I also have been using a Benevolence with Ambush, Hidden Hand, and Snapshot. Great video as always, always entertaining, comedic and informative.
Yea I had mulligan once. Then found out it procs 5% of the time you miss shots lol.. thats 1 free bullet every 20 shots missed .. come on @Bungie, where's the faith?
Right? I was willing to keep it though because it had the scope and other perks I wanted and wasn't Final Round. Really hoping The Taken King comes with some new high impact snipers that are fun to use.

I recently just started using a Longbow Synthesis that I put in the vault and forgot about. Its an absolute animal. Ambush, double down, field scout, and clown cartridge. I never run out of ammo, and can still pop the recently revived in the melon with one shot.

my favorite sniper right now has to be my LDR with the tacsys scope, clown cartridge and more ammo drop. i know its not too much of a pvp sniper because of the perks but i still use it there and its pretty good. and i always try to get the tacsys scope on every sniper i get, prefer it over the ambush

I might be stupid.. probably am.. but I've been playing destiny since December and COD even before that and I never thought to pre adjust down and to the right of my target.. I always just did the drag after adjusting to head level.. thanks for the video though I really appreciate it!

I have two snipers I always choose over anything else. Epitaph 2261 and Efrideet's Spear. Both of them have field scout and double down.
I usually use black hammer for quickscoping and no scoping, it works real nice with snap shot and ambush :)

My gameplay in destiny has completely changed because of you Mr Daygoon! Switched to jumper getting better with a sniper what's next? Seriously though I have much more fun playing crucible with jumper now, but it took tons of derpy moments before my muscle memory made the adjustment. Thanks for the helpful videos!
natorious76 Same here, man. I switched to Jumper because of Daygon and did a full set of PvE bounties to get used to it. It felt really goofy for a while, but once I got used to it, I couldn't believe how much it improved my game in PvP. My K/D has improved considerably and my total kill counts have skyrocketed.

Totally understand the derpy moments when getting used to jumper. The amount of wasted fists of havoc's/bubbles on absolutely nothing when you try jumping, and all your teammates are like wtf haha
+Chris Phillips changes your button layout on your controller. L2 is the jump button which makes it much easier to aim in the air and keeps right thumb from having to move off of the right stick as often. It's in your settings

Curious, how to do so precisely move up to head level. Not how do you know where it is, because that just takes time to figure out until you've memorized it. How do you put your scope up and down exactly where head level is in one motion. Seems insane. lol.
i use a rare sniper called civilian applications with shortgaze, final round and armor piercing rounds (mine does 294 arc damage). u can get it from vanguard roc. it has the same base stats (RoF, impact) as the efrideets and black hammer. i use it all the time, and i even use it over my final round efrideets and LDR.. great sniper u should try and get it

As much as I love my Longbow (which doesn't have field scout so I'm always ammo challenged) I have recently moved on to the Shadow of Aim Assist (I mean Shadow of Veils) -- some of the twitch shots I nail surprise even me. I keep a Her Benevolence with hidden hand but I didn't roll Ambush or Short Gaze (the latter being my preferred scope). I do like the Longview scope but few maps are long enough range for it.
